Yohayra, the stylist who does my hair at Divas Salon, is awesome! 2 of my favorite things about her: 1. Even if it’s packed in the salon, she works so fast she always has me in and out in a good time and gets my hair bone straight. 2. I get my hair done on special occasions. I went in 6 months ago to get my hair straightened and left my iPad there… and for 6 months I had no idea it was there! She tried calling, texting, leaving voicemails(I must have given them the wrong number). And even though she couldn’t get ahold of me, she kept it safe. She even charged it frequently in case I would try GPSing it, but I never did. Yesterday, when I walked in for an appointment, she said«THISISYOURIPAD!!» — I couldn’t believe it… I thought it was just buried in my closet somewhere, when the whole time she was actually keeping it safe for me, hoping I would return one day to get it. THATWASSOSWEETOFHER! What an angel 0:-)

I was a little Leary on the salon but, quickly changed mind once I got my results. The staff is amazing. I have a lot of hair and the time it took them was very impressive! They are a bit pricey but that could be because of my length. My hair reeks clean and my scalp feels amazing. I definitely recommend going.

I give this place 3 stars because I LOVED my hair! It was silky soft & lasted 2 weeks. The salon is nice and the staff is friendly but it took 4 hours for a blow out. The classic sit around and wait while the stylist play musicals heads. I hate that! Be patient and bring a book.

I just moved to Atlanta from out-of-state & was desperate to find a local stylist. I found Diva’s online, not knowing it was a Dominican salon. I read the reviews and although some made me leery, I decided to book an appt and find out for myself. I’m so glad I did! Inside & out was clean and professional. They were very down to earth & friendly. I had never experienced a Dominican-style salon but I can appreciate that someone other than the stylist washes/conditions your hair; instead of feeling rushed I felt pampered. Johara did a great job with my hair, rescuing it from a bad cut I had previously received somewhere else. I also think it was awesome that it’s not a chain; it’s locally owned and family run & I support small business any day. Yay!!! I’ve found my salon!

I visited this salon earlier this summer for a blowout on my natural hair. I had just taken down a sew-in, and also needed a protein treatment and trim. Instead of just doing my hair and offering maintenance tips for transitioning to natural hair from a relaxer, the stylist loudly criticized my hair for being dry and broken in a few areas in front of other customers. I wouldn’t have minded if she were friendly and helpful, but to deliberately embarrass a new customer in front of others was rude and inconsiderate. The blowout lasted about 2 days, but my usual Dominican blowouts last close to a week. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this salon. My only positive comment is that it was clean with a professional appearance.

I liked my hair overall, when I received but the three times I’ve been here, I have received attitude about my scalp either being too dry or «shedding» too much in front of other customers, loudly. Though my African American hair is generally pretty healthy, thick and long… always has been. I have stated that I have been stressed the past few months due to my job more than once. I’m a pretty low-key person… I didn’t like being embarrassed in front of other clients about my hair the last go round. it could have been said a little more discreetly. I just didn’t get an overall feel-good feeling the three times I’ve left there. No hard feelings though, the stylist did a good job on my hair… however, I’m looking for better customer service.

This was my third time here, I would have loved to make this place my salon being that I’m in search for a stylist in the Smyrna/Marietta area. Went in for a wash and flat iron, since I don’t like the blown out/bone straight look, however the stylist refused to flat iron my hair she insisted that I get it blown out. So of course I left with my hair bone straight :(I really wish they were a little bit more friendlier as it is extremely intimidating going into a salon and everyone looks up at you and no one says anything. The other ladies that were getting there hair done seemed extremely happy with the services and their hair came out really well. They are definitely worth a try, just not what I’m looking for.

I am very extremely picky where I get my hair done. I was just driving by when I saw the street sign that said«Dominican Hair Salon», so I went to check it out. I decided to give it try, crossing my fingers that I would be happy. I was beyond happy. This is a true Dominican salon. Highly recommend if you know want the«Latina» style. Wendy was my stylist.
