So happy after a year off of getting my natural hair did at the salon, I went back. Best decision! The place looks amazing! I love the new paint color on the walls, very upscale and classy. I made an appointment for 3:00 I was in shampoo chair at 2:50… Love that. The woman who washed my hair did an awesome job, my hair was dirty and matted up from being braided for so long, but this sweet lady took her time and washed, washed and washed some more until it was clean! She deep conditioned it twice and combed then naps right out! Thank you! My stylist, Yumery did a great job on my hair, she took her time to explain my hair was not as bad as I thought it was. She clipped my damaged ends and told me I did a great job keeping it up. We also talked about a color next visit and I loved how she was honest about hair color, the process and how it works. Overall I felt good about being back there and having Yumery do my hair again. Besides, she is the one who started me on my natural hair journey to begin with and I’m glad about it. Kudos ladies! Keep up the great work!

There are a few times in life that I wish I could give 0 stars and this is one of them. I purchased a loyalty card. Oh the irony… But you prepay for 3 services in advance and then you get one free. Well each time I come, they look for an excuse to charge me an extra 10 dollars. It’s truly disappointing. Not to mention that you have to wait when you have an appointment because they overbook and are understaffed. They have potential to be great and have a few salons located in different areas but terrible customer service. Will be looking for another place to go ASAP!

Excellent service and my hair was on point! I showed up with out an appointment on Saturday morning and was taken care of immediately. I was out an hour and 15mins later. I have long, natural hair and this was one of the fastest salon experiences i’ve had. Not to mention my hair was absolutely fabulous! I will definitely be back.

Don’t listen to these other reviews. I’ve gone to see gladys and jacki on many occasions and neither myself or my co-workers who also go have ever had a bad experience. They do well with all types of hair regardless of race and are quite friendly and personable. It may take a little longer than other salons because these ladies take their time to do it right! When you leave you will agree it was well worth the time and money. Great prices and open convenient hours plus if you are in a rush on your lunch just tell gladys and she will put a rush on for you.

The owner Gladys burned me on my shoulder while pressing my hair out. She had the nerve to tell me it was MYFAULT because I moved the towel when it actually fell down. First of all who does that? If you know how to do hair why are you putting a towel down to protect yourself from burning me? I have been to many salons and the only time they do that is for blow drying because the dryer is hot. Then when I showed her the burn she didn’t even apologize. So I say well Damn you could at least knock off 5 bucks, free trim, something??? She was like« !. I been doing hair for 30 years and you are the first I burned so I think I am doing okay» It took everything in me not to curse this lady out. She better be glad my mother raised me well. That’s all I have to say. So Don’t go there. They do an okay job for the price but after a very long wait. And you may get burned if she is in a hurry.

This shop may have talented stylists but they are too unorganized and inefficient to operate effectively. Enter at your own risk of long waits and disappointmet. After an exhaustive search to find a nice salon in my area and cut down on commuting to Norcross, I decided to give this Dominican shop a try. I love that Dominican shops offer walk-in service typically 7 days a week. On Saturday morning I showed up around 10:30 and was asked to sign-in. I noted that only one name was before mine and the 2 stylists working each had one client. My thoughts were that I must have beat the rush and should be out within 2 hours max. Since I’m used to that time frame with my hair texture, etc. I was happy. I noticed that other people were coming in and had appointments with a stylist that had yet to show up. As they sat and waited for their late stylist, I was called on at around 11 am by a just arriving helper. The late stylist came in close to 12. After being shampooed, I was put under a hooded dryer with conditioner for 15 minutes and then made to sit for an additional hour. This is totally abnormal and had my hair not been wet and the rain pouring outside I would have walked out. There was a lot of standing around and socializing amongst the stylists which you expect in a shop but not at the expense of clients waiting for service. It seems they take the time to serve on a somewhat 1st come 1st served basis but past that initial shampoo all bets are off and you could end up being the last one out of there. I clocked out at 2:30(4 hours later). I don’t even know what my hair looked like I was just so glad to get out. My quest continues…
