Not sure about anything else, but they sure as hell don’t know how to cook salmon. I asked for it cooked medium and it came out gooey on the inside. I had to send it back FOUR times and it still wasn’t right. It’s possible that the quality they get is just that shitty, but the manager had an attitude and tried to tell me that’s what medium looks like and I should’ve ordered medium well. They did comp my meal but still not impressed. Never going back. Neither are my co-workers.

While the food quality at this restaurant is acceptable, we recently had a very poor experience in the service department. Almost everything in our order came out incorrectly, we didn’t receive waters until 20 minutes after we sat down, and we watched the waitress drop the spoon for my husband’s soup, pick it up and put it back on the plate and serve it to him. We will not be back as there are just too many other similar restaurants in Smyrna/Vinings with better food and much better service!

I came here with my boyfriend on Tuesday night and Tony was our server. We arrived at 8:51pm. It took us 17 minutes to get our drinks and finally place our order. Shortly after placing our order for the Nacho appetizer, we watch our food sit in the window FORTWENTYFIVEMINUTES. We ordered the chicken nachos with no jalapeños, and of course they were covered in them anyways. Our entrees were sitting in the window next to our nachos the whole time. We watched our server walk around and ignore our food sitting there. After 53 minutes of sitting and starving, we FINALLY get our food that had been sitting 8 feet away from us the whole time. Our server never checked in at our table. Never refilled our empty drinks, and never apologized for it taking an hour for nachos(that were messed up) and chicken tenders. I will not be eating at this establishment again, and I would not recommend anyone else to eat here either. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because I’ve eaten here before and we had a decent experience in the past.

Came here for a late weekday dinner. The bar was relatively full considering it was a Wednesday evening, but there were plenty of tables available inside and outside on their patio. On our visit we ordered: Fried Mac and Cheese Balls — I’ve had these at other places before, and it’s always hit or miss. But, the ones they have here are actually very good! Not too much breading and its a good size! You get 4 large pieces in one order. The Mac and Cheese balls are still cheesy enough inside even after being fried and it’s mixed with bacon and scallions! Give it a try! Fried Chicken BLT — It’s a good size sandwich! The ciabatta bread threw us off a little bit, but overall the flavor was good. We ordered this with onion rings as our side and unfortunately were only given like 4 onion rings. So if you’re looking for more than just 4 rings, get a full order instead. West Village Dip Philly — They’re not playing around with portions here! Great sandwich, but you definitely have to add a few extra dollars and make this a philly. The meat was tender and not dry at all. Thicker cuts of meat, which I really liked.

We went here because we had a buy one entrée, get one free deal. I had the garlic ribeye with baked potato and a house salad on the side, my husband had the pork chop with mac n cheese and asparagus. The seasoning on both meats was very good and the baked potato was surprisingly tasty. The asparagus was good too. The salad was average. The mac n cheese were your boxed velveeta variety and not at all impressive and the steak was EXYREMELY fatty. So all in all an okay experience with ups and downs.

I noticed a decent crowd at this pub in the recent past and decided to give it a shot. The interior is very casual and they have great outdoor seating. The menu is diverse and the couple of items I tried were great. Typical pub fare with a twist. But the poor service drags everything down. I simply don’t understand how the initial drink order(a beer) comes out after the appetizer arrives simply because the bartender is ‘busy.’ If you need silverware, order it with your entrée. If you want another drink, plan on waving at someone to get it. I’ve never been a server, but these basic ‘givens’ in the service industry just don’t happen here for whatever reason. Although the food was great, the poor service is frustrating enough to not return. Sorry, McCray’s.

I would give 0 stars if possible. We have given McCrays many chances but our most recent visit sealed the horrible score. St Patrick’s day we went to McCrays around 5:15 and sat on the patio. We were NEVER greeted by any server even after asking the hostess(15 minutes after being seated) if there was a server for our table. We left after 35 minutes of being ignored. It was not even that busy. The beer server told us that she informed the manager that we had not been helped the entire visit and no manager came to see us either. As we exited the restaurant we walked by the manager who did not say a word to us. Horrible horrible business!

I have had the chance to eat here several times because of work lunch outings. I love it! The food and service has been great with every visit. There is something for everyone and you cant go wrong with any item on the menu! I highly recommend the Mac & Cheese balls as a starter. They are pricey but very good. Two Items I love on the menu for lunch are the crispy chicken blt & the smoked salmon sandwich! Both have great flavor and leave you satisfied! Only negative thing I have to say about this place is parking is very limited in the area. There is a small garage but depending on time you go it can be filled as well.

I came here based on Unilocal reviews and Unilocal did not let me down. On a Thursday night this place was pretty busy. It’s a fancy bar vibe. There were quite a few people sitting in the actual bar area watching a game. We were seated immediately. We had two servers, I’m assuming one was training. They made great recommendations and I ended up ordering the Mahi Sandwich with a house salad and an extra side of mashed potatoes. I also ordered the White Sangria, it sounded so yummy from the description. When my food arrived, I was not impressed with the salad. I should have gotten the macaroni. Oh well. The mashed potatoes were steamy and cooked just right. They had a slightly lumpy texture which let’s me know they were hand mashed. I hope lol. The sandwich… sooooo good. One of the best Mahi sandwiches I have had! It was firm on the outside, flaky, moist, tender on the inside. The White Sangria wasn’t anything special. It was too sweet. Next time I’ll try something else. I’ll be back though! P. S. there is parking in the deck for free unless you find a spot right outside of the restaurant.

I’ve been here a few times, and every time the food is great. I love their cobb salad and sweet potato fries. On my most recent visit I switched it up and tried their chili which was fantastic and the grilled cheese and fries… will definitely skip that forever. The fries were good, but grilled cheese, not so much. My husband asked why I would even think about ordering one when I can make a better one at home… should have listened to him, ooops! Hubby loves their avocado burger and reuben. 4 stars because the service is hit or miss. We are always seated quickly, but the servers could be better. I’ve had one good server and the other 2 were ‘meh.’ I like the environment inside and many tv’s! This has become one of our favorite spots… regardless of the service.

This looks and feels like a pub, which means when you go in, it’s DARK. That’s never my favorite kind of atmosphere but I ADORE pub food so I usually just suck it up and sit down. We went here on a Sunday because Blue Moon across the street ISN’T OPENONSUNDAYS(???) Really? Mmmmkay. I’ll save that for my Blue Moon review. Anyway, the short story on McCray’s is that the food here is quite good! It’s pretty rare when I taste everything on the table and wish I had gotten it! LOL… the fish and chips, the fish tacos, my Cobb salad, the steak frites were all DEELISH! The sweet potato fries rock the house too! My only beef is that the service was paaaaainfully slow. NOW before you slay me with a thousand daggers, I understand that the server can’t bring the food until the kitchen makes it. I understand the concept of critical path and all… but even the drinks were slow, and that includes the ones she didn’t have to get from the service bar like sodas and iced teas. As a person, she was lovely. But the entire experience just took way too long, start to finish. Again, maybe the kitchen being weeded was the problem. But it doesn’t really matter WHOSE fault it is, the net result is that if you have a full 2 hours to eat, the food is definitely worth waiting for. If not, go elsewhere.

I have been to McCray’s on many occasions. I love their high top bar tables, outside seating, and dark interior. Service can be excellent or bad(meaning servers that disappear on you). There is no in between and you never know what you will get. Their mixed drinks are very weak, so stick with wine or drafts. I had two vodka and club soda drinks in the hopes of feeling«a little relaxed» and I didn’t feel a damn thing. They have typical pub food and some nice entrée options. Their chicken nachos and salads are a few notches above the norm.

Great spot for a beer and to watch the game. The menu is more expansive than the usual sports bar and a notch up in quality. And that’s a reason why they have been around for many years. The service team is speedy and knowledgeable as well.

On 10÷07÷15 We would like to acknowledge one of this restaurants staff members he is an acting manager and was working the night shift on this date. Cedric went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service where this restaurant would have lost loyal customer that is a frequent customer that dines at this restaurant, but because of the diligence and customer care this acting manager shown by going out of his way contacting my husband to find out how his service was and what he could do to make his visit much more enjoyable we truly appreciate it the fact that he looked in to the issue we had and quickly resolve it by reaching out to us and getting our order to us and having our order correct we’ve never experienced this form and level of customer care and for this very reason we both want to acknowledge the excellent quality customer provided to us by this acting manager Cedric. I can’t express how surprised and happy we were when Cedric walked up to us with our order and had our order correct. A situation that would have turned into us being the customer not wanting to go back to the restaurant again because of the poor service we received by the waiter or waitress handling our section and the wait time that we incurred during our visit but because the acting manager took the initiative to go beyond and above to provide us with superb service is why we will continue visiting this restaurant, and has changed our mind completely. We will continue to be your loyal customer, from the Scott family and your loyal customers who currently resides at Highlands @ West Village! Thank you again Cedric! ;-)

I don’t know. It’s not bad by any means. It just doesn’t really impress me at all either. I’ve had a decent turkey burger, some above average gumbo, a standard sandwich. It’s just all so standard for me I guess. Would I come here and grab a beer and a burger with friends? Absolutely. Would I ever crave anything on their menu? Probably not. Still a solid lunch option if you’re in the area and want to sit down somewhere that isn’t a chain(yes, I know they have more than 1 location, but it isn’t Applebee’s alright?!).

Stopped in to try a few appetizers on a recent business trip to Atlanta. I dined here on Friday 8⁄21. McCray’s serves up a warm vibe with some very good food offerings. Food: I ordered some wings(Sriracha-Honey and Lemon Pepper), as well as some buffalo chicken egg rolls. The buffalo chicken egg rolls were good, but I felt like they lacked something. The flavor was good, the outer-shell had a really great texture to it(crunchy, but also soft and a little pillow-y). Accompanying the rolls was some bleu cheese. They have a very good bleu cheese. It had just the right amount of funkiness to it, while also being creamy and with a good consistency — not too thick or chunky. The wings were excellent! The common denominator between the two wings was excellent texture. They were perfectly fried. They were nice and crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside. The oil was definitely fresh, and the seasonings /sauce was very good. The Honey Sriracha sauce took me by surprise in the heat column. They aren’t that hot — more of a medium sauce, but it caught me off guard. The lemon pepper was balanced very well. I am pretty sensitive to lemon-y flavors, but this was a well-coaxed flavor. Additionally the pepper flavor was not overwhelming. I’m not usually a fan of lemon pepper — I would order these again. Lastly, and this goes back to the chicken rolls, the bleu cheese paired perfectly with these wings. BIGPLUS! Food: 4⁄5 Service: The service was OK, exactly what I would expect from a restaurant like this. Service: 3⁄5 Atmosphere: The vibe in this restaurant is nice. It has a warmth to it that really felt welcoming. The hostess was really sweet and set a nice tone for the evening. I like the dark colors and the warmth of the wood interior. It felt like an old-world tavern. I would definitely come back here with anyone — a date, my boys, my parents. Anybody. Lastly, it was very clean. This is big for me. Nice standards. Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Price: For what I got, I feel like I got my money’s worth. It definitely was not a deal, but based on the quality, I feel like it was a little bit better than fair. Price: 4⁄5 Final Thoughts: This place really spoke to me. I would love the opportunity to dine here again, I just don’t know if I will ever have the opportunity. I strongly recommend this place. If this place were in my hometown, it would be my new favorite spot.

This has become a go-to spot for my husband and I. We have loved everything we’ve had here. Pimento Cheese Dip, Loaded Chips, Southern Chicken BLT(with grilled chicken), Turkey Burger, Cuban, Meatball Sub, Paninis… ALL delicious. Been for brunch a few times and recently learned they have bottomless mimosas and bloody’s for $ 16. Definitely planning to visit for a long morning watching soccer and indulging: D

I ordered wings all drums which was a three dollar upcharge. This was fine. I didn’t want fries and asked if I could do tater tots instead. Also I would like a side of bbq sauce to dip my tots in. When I got my check the tots were an extra $ 5 and the side of bbq was an extra $ 1. I’m not poor or cheap but when you nickel and dime me for everything I’m going to say something. The waitress explained the tots were a premium side(lol) and then the manger came over and gave me four quarters for the bbq sauce. This was nice of him but he did it in an extremely ass hole way. Overall the food was so so. I guess I would possibly give it a second try.

Ordered the cheese and meat plate for 10 $ –should have been quality meat and cheese but honestly you’d be better getting stuff from whole foods or trader Joe Got a burger for 10 $ – had better burgers from Hardee’s. The edges where so bad my date didn’t even eat them. She couldn’t finish the burger as the bland taste and over cooked texture made it very unappealing. Got a Southwest turkey sandwich for 10 $ – recommend this as it was a nice combination of flavors and I enjoy food with a mix of meat and vegetables with a good combination of texture and flavor. I was disappointed not only in the food but the service, as well. The server also purposely ignored us when I tried to get his attention and asked for ketchup. He instead greeted someone with a baby and talked to them for a few minutes and then came back to us. After thinking back on everything I almost feel like this was a 1⁄5
