A quick run down the street off Concord/Spring Rd. Have a pretty decent selection of liquor. As previous reviewer said, wine is sufficient but not extensive. Had all the shades of brandy I wanted and a couple decent selections of anisette/sambucca(which is what I was looking for). Didn’t take a peek at the beer, so I can’t say. I’ll take note of that on my next trip. This is my new local. *Edit: After a 2nd(and 3rd, and 4th) trip, I finally took notice of their beer selection and suffice it to say, it is lacking. So, one star off for that! It’s the usual domestic smörgåsbord in cans and bottles. Not a problem if you’re not looking for anything special, but I wouldn’t show up with any special brews in mind.

I hope reviewing a package store doesn’t make me come across as an alcoholic. I’m good, I promise. Just don’t touch my bottle(j/k). It may be because I frequent Spring Road Package often, but the guys who work there are über friendly. I walk/drive around the corner to grab snacks, a bottle of vino or juice a few times a week. The clerk/owner always greets me with a smile and chats it up. They have seating for the Keno(?) players and sometimes I’m tempted to pop a beer cap and take a seat right in the store, but I’m pretty sure that’s not allowed. Spring Road is like the«Cheers» of package stores. However, the wine selection is lacking and I don’t drink liquor. Mind you, I’m from Detroit, where party stores(that’s what WE call them) come a dime a dozen. The clerks are always shielded behind a thick wall of plexiglass and the atmosphere of it all makes you feel unsafe. I love being able to get my weekly fill of spirits without feeling rushed as if at any moment I could be crouched between aisles of liquor dodging bullets. By the way, I’m not saying that Motown in unsafe. I love and feel very at home in my city. I’m referring to the vibe that party stores exude. I am all about positive energy, and Spring Road Package delivers… that and my weekly dose of white wine.
