Pros: Good jerk patties
Cons: I agree with the other reviewer about the customer service being pretty bad.
They are not very accommodating at all. I asked for a curry chicken meal and asked for one piece of oxtail on the plate and told her she can charge me extra and the woman stated she could not do it all unless she charged me as the entire thing oxtail or I can have a couple pieces on the side for $ 14. Really? You can’t just charge me an extra couple of dollars for ONE piece of oxtail? Why would I pay the oxtail plate price for a plate full of chicken? All the other stores I’ve been to accommodate my request and just up charge me. Seems pretty simple to me.

I have been there twice recently and the food and service were great! Stew chicken with rice and peas, Ackee and saltfish. So good. I love golden krust. You cant go wrong.

Hot and fresh patties always satisfy, plantains, rice peas, coco bread and the jerk chicken, ox tails, cabbage etc the list goes on it never disappoints! Great staff, clean location!

Expensive, and not even tasty. The worst thing is the girls who work there have attitudes, one girl was handing me my change, and dropped my quarters, and didn’t even try to help me pick them up! Didn’t say have a nice day or anything. I just said thank you. I got no response. I still was ready to try the food because the reviews were so good, but the sauce on the oxtails had a weird taste. It was very basic for the price. i was expecting to be WOWED. So, I’m still on the hunt for good jamaican food.. . *sigh*

I dunno nuthin bout Jamaican food but this was GREAT! I had the lunch special for like $ 6. Bbq jerk chicken, rice n beans, cabbage and plaintians. I normally eat none of this except the chicken but it all was BOMB. Im goin back tomorrow after my A1KUT!

I love the place. Clean and great food! I love oxtails and their gravy is wonderful. Patties have a lot of crust but it’s good too. Spicy beef patty yum!

My husband and I came here and left disappointed due to the price and they did not have no jerk chicken, curry chicken, nor large beef patties left. I thought that was strange not to have any jerk chicken left when it was only a little after 5pm. the prices in my opinion was ridiculously high. I usually pay $ 8 for a small and $ 11 for a large. However, I ended up getting the oxtails which was $ 12.99 for small and 15.99 for large. Of course I got the small that was full of rice but only a few pieces of meat and my husband ended up getting a chicken patty meal. Needless to say, I will never buy from here again mainly because of the prices.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! So good! I usually get mild beef cause I’m not a spice lover. But it is still good!

CUSTOMER NO SERVICE. First time there last time there. Rude, no personality. Business can not be ran on food alone if you are spending your money you want to feel welcoming and invited into the place. Never again

Went here for the first time, an the food is fantastic! The serving size «small» is enough to be shared with 2! Only reason that I am leaving 4 stars is because the chicken had bones in the curry dish (which was kind if a pain to eat around) other than that, can’t wait to try more dishes!

Went on a Wednesday night craving oxtails… I’d rather go to a mom and pops Jamaican restaurant. My rice was hard and it tasted so commercial. I don’t want it!

I came this time for chicken and ended up ordering the norm. Mi love Caribbean food! If its not the music, its the food, I’m just so in love with culture.
I have enjoyed the oxtails from here, I have tried the escovitch from a friends plate that was pretty good to.
Everytime I come to a golden crust location, I promise to buy something different but end up with the same thing.
The beef patties are also a fav of mines. Even though you can purchase them in the frozen food section of a international market I never have.
I have gotten use to the veggie mix in the cabbage side, that is something I notice that only golden crust adds to their cabbage. (Its OK) The menu has plenty to choose from.
Hopefully, on the next visit I can get up the nerve to tryout another dish, Until then its oxtails mahn! :-)

Best fast food Jamaican you can get in any city. Miami Golden Krust is where my heart is, but seeing this in ATL? *MELT*

Island food is always so good to me that I just can’t get enough. One of my favorite dishes to try is the Red Snapper fish cooked in either brown stu or escovitch, over rice and peas with fried plantains and cabbage… yummy!
If you like spicy foods go with the escovitch, it works every time. For a more gravy covered fish with onions, carrots, and maybe some bell pepper, you’ll enjoy the brown stu. Both dishes are great and filling and be prepared to wait a little on the fish as it needs time to cook.
If you want something other than fish the menu has so much to offer from, oxtails, curry chicken, to stu chicken. If you want something lite you can always try out a pattie, either beef, chicken, veggie and even shrimp. You’ll leave this restaurant feeling good about what you ordered.
The service is usually friendly and helpful. Ask for what you want and I’m sure they will do their best to serve you.
