These places all seem the same to me, not least because my role is more as a helper in loading and unloading the units for friends who have them. It’s tricky for me to try to get into the mindset of somebody who wants to rent one of these places long-term(I’d rather donate or sell stuff than pay to store it), but it’s worth a shot. For sure these guys make an effort to secure the facility. The fence is not high, nor is it difficult to climb, but the buildings are sturdy, the units lock tightly, and there are lights and cameras everywhere. They also have managers living on site. It seems like a place where you could confidently store belongings. After all, if you were a thief, anything you couldn’t throw over the fence would be tough to get out of here, provided you could even get your hands on it. One couple was even moving out a gorgeous 50±year-old classic pickup truck, immaculately restored, that they had had in storage at this place for years and years. Cool old vehicles need to be driven, not locked away(IMO), but that certainly speaks well of their confidence in the safety and security of the facility. They rent U-Haul trucks out of the office, along with the units. The trucks line the sidewalks of Pine Avenue outside the building. They clearly have a good little racket going here; the rental rates are on the high side. But the trucks are new and clean and well-equipped. The units seem to go for about a buck a square foot, at least as of this writing. A 10×20 is a little over $ 200 a month. You can put quite a bit of stuff in such a space, really. And if you get out within 10 days of the start of the month, you only pay for the first chunk of the month. That’s kinda nice. In the front office, you see security monitors checking every location in the facility, and there’s usually some hustle and bustle during business hours. They stay open on the weekends, which is helpful. One thing that would seriously improve the experience here is if a Goodwill or something opened nearby. You ever notice how much stuff ends up going straight from places like this to a Goodwill? Yeah. Goodwill really does good work, and you should support them.

We called to reserve a truck for this weekend. The service we got was absolutely outstanding! Of all the U=Haul rental places, this is the BEST. Not only was the estimate of cost exactly correct, but they e-mailed an invoice to our e-mail address. I would use them again over any other U-Haul I have used. The truck was clean and well maintained.
