Horrible company to try to deal with after they destroyed our front windshield on 520 after not cleaning rock debris off of the top rail of one of their dump/recycling trucks. The driver(realizing something occurred), actually got onto 405 and slowed to 30 mph on 405 N to TRY to prevent me from getting behind or beside him to see the company name and number /lic plate. They gave me a total runaround on the phone, stating they didn’t know the physical address of their corporate HQ(where they stated I had to go if I wanted to make a complaint.) Insurance was little help since they challenged them that they couldn’t prove it, which is the same thing they said to me. Awful company and people with low integrity. They should not be on the road and please don’t do business with them.

On January 212014 at 12:40pm, I was driving north on I-5 by Capitol Hill when I noticed several rocks strike my car and windshield. It soon became evident that they were emanating from a Girard Recycling truck ahead of me. I’ve had my license for 15 years and have never seen ANYTHING even approaching the hail of stones that this overfilled and uncovered truck was raining out. As I and many other motorists took evasive maneuvers to try to get around this huge hazard, I snapped pictures of the license and logo. When I arrived home, I documented the many chips and even a couple cracks which had already formed as a result of the intensive bombardment. Their receptionist promised to look into it, then later denied having a truck on the road. My calls have since been unreturned. In summary, this company operates in a reckless and unsafe manner, causing property damage and potential injury/death should a startled motorist have overcorrected. Further, apparently management shirks responsibility for their errors, and any conscientious person should not consider doing business with them.
