Damn this place went out of business. That’s sad. Same thing happened with the last salon «Adore salon & spa»

Very disappointed with my end result. Had to come back twice to get something I could wear and not be totally embarrassed. As I relunctly paid a discounted rate the front desk gal said they would call to reschedule me after a few weeks. To no avail. Everytime I look at my hair I cringe. I will go back to the beauty school from now on, so much for seeking professional help.

Not a fan. Getting one star because the front desk people were wonderful, very friendly and nice, and I thought that for a small place it was very well set up and professional, better than I expected in a small place in the suburbs, frankly. I made an appointment for a facial, brow and lip wax online. Facial was scheduled for sixty minutes, the brow and lip wax usually take about fifteen. My Esthetician came out for me right at my scheduled appointment time, takes me back and comments that she noticed I was only there for a «standard» facial, and that I should consider the Vitabright, I said «well you can take a look and let me know if you think that’s necessary» assuming she will do a visual examination of my skin under the light to determine best products to use, facial to have, etc. Nope. She took that to mean I was all for the Vitabright facial without any validation on her part by looking at my skin that it was the best option. So she does my waxing first, all goes well. Goes out so I can change, I look at the clock, it’s fifteen minutes into my appointment. Comes back, no visual look at my skin, no steaming to release anything… just goes into the products and «massage». No extractions, which is one of the reasons I went in for a facial and I specifically put on my paperwork was my number one concern. Does all the work, announces we are done, gets up and leaves the room. I look at the clock… it’s forty minutes later. So for three services that should have taken an hour and fifteen minutes, I was done in fifty five. I get a lot of facials, have been to a lot of spas and salons and frankly have to say this is in my top three worst. I was very disappointed. Then when I go up front of course I have to look at the seventy nine dollar moisturizers. Not to mention that the Vitabright facial is twenty dollars more than the one I booked, which I knew but she had never mentioned. This was clearly a case of her trying to upsell to increase commissions without putting in any effort in my opinion to make sure I had a great experience or that she was doing what was best for my particular skin. Worst of all… my skin did not have that great just had a facial feeling. Setting fire to $ 100 would have been a better use of it. I would avoid, they are charging big spa prices but the quality of service is not there.

I had waxing done by Amy and Christina before my wedding (separate appointments). Both are professional and were able to answer all my questions. The front desk team is warm and friendly. I cannot wait to go back and try out their other services. It is worth the drive from Marysville.

I love Spa in the City! I see Natalie for the Swedish Blend Massage. She is amazing at what she does! She checks in frequently during the massage to make sure the pressure is comfortable and if there are any troubled spots that need more attention. Their new location on Seattle Hill Road is beautiful inside. Scheduling appointments is a breeze and everyone I have ever interacted with has been very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Spa in the City for all of your pampering needs!

This was the first time I ever had sugaring (or waxing) done professionally. The results were absolutely A+++! Tennile was very professional and put me totally at ease. I will be going back on a regular basis!

I got my first Half leg and Brazilian wax. Her name was Amy and she was very friendly. I did go back home and saw a lot of hair still on my legs and a lot of stubble, which I’m really not happy about. i know first timers hair are much stronger and breaks off easier than being pulled out entirely, but she did use one wax strip on different locations even though the wax weren’t strong anymore. There was also a lot of hair on my legs I had to try and get rid off with tweezers at home. I am disappointed… I feel like I still need to go on my vacation trip with a razor because there is a lot of hair that werent pulled out entirely…
ALSO, the first thing i noticed when laying down was that the towel was dirty — with mascara and base stains. i turned it around and other side was dirty too! I hoped for a better job… She made me feel very comfortable though. But there’s a lot of hair left.

I got my first set of eyelash extensions here a few weeks ago & have already found myself coming back twice –They turned out to be beautiful!!!
They do have a ton of products at the front that they will want you to buy in order to take care of your lashes (I.e. eyeliner, mascara, cleaner, brushes) that are all by the same company that makes the lashes — BUY THEM. I would recommend them to antbody. They are all fantastic products with or without extensions, and I have experimented with a TON of makeup lines including both indie and mainstream :)

How did I just spend $ 100 on a 25 minute sub par facial?!
The «hot» towel used on my face felt like a soggy post shower bath mat.

I have had 2 hot stone massages in the last few months. Natalie did a wonderful job and I felt so relaxed afterward. I would have given 5 stars, but the massage treatment rooms can get pretty noisy, with slamming doors and conversations in the hallway being audible while trying to fully relax.

I got a prenatal massage. It was amazing! Highly recommend it to anyone pregnant woman!

Updating my review. Had waxing here for the second time. The experience was great! Thanks again to Breanne who is so friendly and makes you feel totally comfortable. Like you’re just hanging out with one of your girlfriends. Also, they do have signage on the street, I just didn’t notice it before. I highly recommend this place. It’s a gem in South Everett!

We had a couples massage at Spa in the City followed by strawberries and sparkling cider. The massages were fantastic with Nathalie & Mimi. Both were knowledgeable, kind and had herculean strength. The staff made sure to address our needs and went the extra mile to assure a positive, relaxing experience.

They get an «A» for services, but an «F» for communication. I had my first visit on Saturday, 1÷11÷2013. I booked a package deal that included a body treatment and a facial. As we were getting ready, the aesthetician mentioned only the body treatment. When I asked her about the facial part, she was surprised, and said that they had only booked her with enough time to do the body treatment portion. My appointment printout clearly said it was for the combo package. I told them OK, I can get a facial some other time. After the body treatment, she informs me that another person can do a facial for me. After that, I was charged for both the package combo, and another facial on top of that — double charged for two facials, basically. (They also have a sign up front that asks that tips be in cash or check form, which is pretty tacky.)
I emailed them to ask about it — and pointed out that on their website, it clearly says what the combo package included. I never received a response to my two emails, but did get a random partial credit back on my debit card, anyway.
Terrible communication. It’s a shame, because it was the best facial I’ve ever had.
The waiting area could use more seating. I was one of the first appointments, and there were 4 or 5 of us waiting, and only one small wicker loveseat to share.

Lots of drama here between the co-​workers. I went for two trials and they couldn’t get the specific hair style I wanted; thought they’d practice or research before I came instead of trying to get me to like something different. I spent a lot of $ on that and time in the car.

We’ve been here a few times, my wife for Swedish massage, and deep tissue for me. We got different people every time, but the quality of service has always been great.
For: Great staff, great service.
Against: Location. Can’t really tell if there is one, until you either make the call or look it up yourself. Not a big deal though, just a bit unusual.

I LOVED this place! We celebrated our anniversary yesterday, & did a couple’s massage here.
Upon arrival, I felt very welcomed and the receptionist was very engaging. I have no idea what receptionist was there for the other reviewers, but the lady we were greeted by was pretty cool.
The environment wasn’t uncomfortable. It smelled DELICIOUS. It is small, but I like that about it. It’s very cute :)
My masseuse was Penny, & she was sooooooooooooo attentive. I’m no stranger to massages. Typically, I have to instruct my therapist on the right pressure for each tense point, but penny’s hands are like mind readers. Also, she used hot stones, which I highly recommend if u have a lot of soft tissue, or if u are looking for an alternative to deep tissue. I will definitely TRY my best to get back to spa in the city. If it were a bit closer to my neck of the woods, I would be a regular for sure.
PS: Definitely take advantage of their Unilocal deal! We paid $ 50 for $ 100 gift certificate. Effin AWESOME!

Still love coming here to get my hair done with Megan, and they’ve done some remodeling/​updating that makes you totally forget that you’re in a business park in Everett.
