I’m telling everybody who lives around me now: if u want a burger and fries save your money & your time. and go straight to EJ Burgers. Its where Shake N Go used to be, acrossed the street from Bartells. Hands down EJ ‘s is delicious! Chick 5 is a waste of time and money in so many ways. Chick 5 has grouEJ’S has 100% grass fed Angus beef. EJ’S has locally grown potatoes that they hand cut and made into huge delicious french fries and sweet potatoes fries! They’re SOGOOD! EJ’S also has hand crafted beer & ice cream milk shakes. Theyre burgers are ridiculously good. Amd the hoise sauce, juat as awesome. i dont kmow what they put in it but it afds the extra something that no other place has. And for the price and portions EJ’S wins hands down. And they’re staff is friendly and quick, and it’s always nice on the inside I have a burger joint that is closer to me than EJ’S. But EJ’S is who will get my money.

Tried this place for the first time this week. I was impressed by the Cali burger. Fries were mediocre. House sauce is amazing. The cashier lady was super friendly. I’m not sure if she is the owner or not. It had a very relaxing chill vibe to it. Very clean.

Have ordered take out here twice, and had Pretty quick service each time. Staff is super friendly. The EJ burger is pretty great and the chicken katsu burger is bomb. French fries are good too. The portions here are large. The inside is clean. This is a great burger place, We’ll be regulars for sure. Negatives: terrible tartar sauce and closed on Sundays.

If you’re looking for a good, hearty, hometown type burger… The EJ is waiting for you. The sauce on that piece of perfection is absolutely killer. I recommended starting there to get your baseline before delving into the plethora of burger options these guys wield. Bön appe-freakin-tit!

Great service, very big/juicy/flavorful burgers(I’ve tried bulgogi and teriyaki), okay fries(nothing to get excited about). They even sent out coups to nearby residents so I got a free chicken burger for my wife(also really good!). I’ll be going back due to convenience and the nice people that run the place.

Live this place!!! The new owners did a complete remodel and a new menu. The new burgers are far superior to the previous establishment and the customer service is great. I can’t say enough about the customer service I always leave happy. My only suggestion is some lighter fare on the menu.

Worst food ever — my onion rings and French fries were soaked in grease and extremely bland. Not impressed with this flavorless food.

Fresh-cut french fries and a lot of them for $ 3.75. Good veggie-burger options. The location has been a few different burger joints with different owners over the years, but I think EJ Burger’s set-up and menu finally gets it right. It’s a small space and can get jammed in peak times.

This is a relatively small new burger place in a strip mall. Love it! There’s a bit of a twist with their burgers(think Japanese because they have katsu burgers and sauce). We had something from the standard side of the menu… bacon cheeseburger and a California burger. Um, yes, please! Their house sauce is some sort of Asian sweet sauce and it’s delicious. At first glance I thought $ 9.95 for a burger you order at the front and then move into self-service mode was a bit much. Then, the burgers and fries came. It’s a lot of food, the burgers are juicy as heck, real meat, with what looks like hand-cut fries, and done to perfection. Yes, these puppies are messy but the bun holds up to the sauce abuse so grab a bunch of paper towels provided on the table and go for it. They are real ice cream shakes, a limited kids menu, and fish/chips if you don’t want a full-size beef or chicken burger. We will definitely be back! p. s., the service is great.

This place is amazing! The burgers are so juicy and dripping with sauce which my husband and I love. Nothing worse than a dry tasteless burger. The buns they use taste kind of sweet like a sweet Hawaiian bread and most importantly the bun doesn’t fall apart like the cheap sesame buns everyone else uses. Love how much lettuce they put on the burger, it is the perfect amount. We’ve had the cheeseburger and Teriyaki burger and both were suburb. The French fries were great the first time we came but the second time they weren’t that great. Definitely undercooked and oily, but because the burgers are so good and honestly it is hard to find a good burger here… I am giving this place 5 stars. I am an In N Out girl and miss food in California so it is nice to find a good burger. Would like to see them offer a couple more kids options like grilled cheese or something. Very friendly service! We will definitely be back and be bringing our friends and family.

Great service and great food! We had the California and Texas Burger. Both were delicious! I look forward to trying their katsu burgers next time!

First off, this place was crazy busy and the wait was around 20 – 30 minutes for a to-go order, but I’d rather have a long wait than no wait(usually means the food is pretty good). I had the Texas burger with grilled onions, but definitely want to try their Bulgogi and/or Katzu burger. I was so interested in all the options for burgers that I decided if I’m going to try something I should go with something I could compare to other restaurants. The house sauce is crazy good when you mix the spicy with sweet, it was pretty awesome. My wife had the Cheese burger and it was very good, but I will say the House Sauce was almost too sweet alone. The steak fries were perfect and everyone was raving about the milkshakes(going to try one of those next time as well). My only reason for not giving 5 stars was the Kids Chicken Nuggets were the Mickey Mouse nuggets from Costco. Sorry guys, to show a picture of what looks like a good chicken nugget to get something so plain and basic, very upsetting. I will say that I will be back again with the family, just avoiding the chicken nuggets.

The service totally sells the place!!! The food is pretty darn good too! Came in on a Friday night, around 7:30, luckily just before the rush! Our family LOVED the burgers, my kids said they were the best they ever had! The guy working the front counter was awesome, super patient and amazingly nice! Will definitely be our go to burger place for now on!!!

We’ve eaten here twice now. The burgers are good, we like the California Burger. If you like Mc Donald’s preservative filled dipped in sugar fries, these are not the fries for you. They are more like fresh steak fries, were you can actually taste the potato, they are yummy. The cod and chips was just ok, but the burgers we will be going back for.

Stopped in today for dinner and service and food were both excellent! The bacon cheeseburger was huge and delicious. The house sauce is phenomenal! The fries were perfect for my liking a little mushy and little salt which is perfect for me! Service was helpful and friendly and our family will certainly be back again.

Not overly impressed with this place. My husband I went there tonight and ordered to go. The fries were so greasy(not to mention soggy and cold)) that when we got out of the BRANDNEW car that we just bought on Sunday, there was a grease size stain about the size of a toy car on our seat… Also the burgers weren’t that great. My husband ordered the Texas burger and it had way too many jalepenos, lettuce, and the bun was soggy due to the house sauce. I wouldn’t recommend going here. We threw half of our dinner away. Take the time to go and spend your money at a better place…

Came here on a Thursday night at around 730pm and it was completely empty. I asked the worker there(possibly the owner) when they opened and he informed me they just opened the previous Friday. I just moved nearby and always wanted to stop in this small strip mall that has a Vietnamese and Mexican restaurant right next to this burger place. They have a really expansive burger menu and you can customize your own burger with any toppings you want. The burger I tried because of the worker’s recommendation was the California Burger. It cost $ 10 for the burger and includes fries. Food came out quick and I always nosh on a few fries to get into eating mode, and the fries are pretty much my only complaint here. The consistency in the crispness of the fries wasn’t there. But onto the burger and all I have two words for you, HOUSESAUCE! The house sauce is amazing and something I haven’t really tasted before – it’s like this sweet gooey ketchup and was good for dipping the fries in, too. The meat was cooked perfectly and tasty – they juse 100% angus beef. Overall, a good experience. The place is brand new and clean. Value — 4* Food — 5* Customer Service — 4* Ambiance — 3* This is a place I’d go back to if I’m not near a Red Robin, haha. And I’d totally recommend this as the best burger near the Silver Firs area.
