The UPS Store

Like others, I pass 2 or 3 other shipping places to have these guys handle my packages for me. They are so very nice and helpful. I never have to tape my packages closed or print off an address label. They take care of it all. Service with a smile is what I get 100% of the time!

Not impressed. I went in to pick up a couple of quick supplies. Both clerks were with other customers. One girl was just waiting for some machinery to run and staring off in to space. I stood there for 10 minutes, even making eye contact. No one said anything or greeted me in any way. I know people are busy but it doesn’t take anything to acknowledge my presence. Having spent my life in customer service these kind of interactions drive me crazy. I try to shop local but I gave my business to a big box store instead.

I had just given this store over $ 600 in business and one of the employees goes on to get into a confrontation with me about my parenting skills. I had left my four year old and my one year old in the car while I ran in to ship a few items (with my 14 year old daughter). A snotty old lady comes in and threatens to call CPS on me. Unknown to that snotty old lady — I had my 14 year old in the car, which is perfectly legal and to be quite honest with you — none of her business. And as I was telling the older lady to mind her business, one of the employees in the store went on to interject her opinion about my parenting skills (in front of a few customers). Quite embarrassing. I didn’t deserve that. I guess next time I’ll just go to Fedex or the Post Office. I WILL NEVER SHIP ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE EVER AGAIN. And I will most likely not use UPS again.
I called the owner of the store. She listened, but didn’t seem to really care. If you’re looking for a store to ship your items with, there is a FEDEX store a few miles down the road and a Post Office right across the parking lot. If I transact with a business, I don’t need them to get personal with me. As it turns out the employee who confronted me is a Human Services graduate. If that’s the case, why is she working at a UPS store?

With my company mail box here, I approached Debbie with an unique secondary request. I needed a place where my employees could pick up their checks in a secure enviroment at their convenience. Debbie allowed me to bring in a special file box to fit this need. How many UPS stores would do this? Their customer service is amazing!

I have been going here since back when it was ‘Mailboxes Etc”. The people are very helpful and nice. And they can be flexible when needed regarding shipping times and costs.
