My wife and I went here about 5 times before we decided never to return. The first couple times it was an OK experience, but nothing special. Each time after that, however, it got worse and worse. I ordered the 3 taco plate and the taco shells were stale, Ortega-type, pre-made crunchy style taco shells – first of all, not authentic Mexican at all, and second, they were all mushy on the bottom from the filling, and literally just broke apart into a paste. An armless blind man could have made better tacos. I have also had their burritos, and I was not impressed at all. We won’t be going back.

Stopped in to this place a few times in the past — great service and good food. The best part of this place is the fresh made flour tortilla as you walk in the door — a great start! The service here is consistently good. Overheard the training of the new host tonight — «always find the best table…» And«smile and be friendly…» Was just part of the advice. We waited an extra couple of minutes for a booth — a better table… And he and the waiter and the chips & salsa server and the water server were all smiles and friendly. I do like their salsa though it has a bit of a kick. And they serve refried beans too — which was pretty good. The chips were fresh and warm. The food was good. I had the combo #24 a chimi and enchilada with the works of rice, beans, sour cream and guac. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I like this place. If you go, be sure to try those tortillas — wow!

My friend and I eat here every time we go out to lunch. The food here is delicious and I love the fresh tortillas when we walk in the door. The staff is always friendly and the quality is always excellent!!!

In snoho we have a few Mexican joints to choose from. I am a local and love all of them. I have to say that El Paraiso has the best atmosphere and pricing. Not to mention they’re great food and very friendly and outgoing service. Maricio you are the man brother(I hope I’m spelling your name correctly). I always leave happy, full and a little buzzed from there generous Cadillac Margarita. Keep up the good work. I definitely recommend this place. And will probably see you guys in a week or so.

Last week the power went out which is never a good time when you have a one year old and two year old. So naturally with the rest of the world we decided to go out to eat. We picked El Paraiso which was slammed with people. They did a great job of getting people in and out very quickly and were very friendly at the same time. The one down fall is that it is a little more expensive then a normal mexican restaurant. But they do a great job.

I came here on a friend’s recommendation but I wasn’t at all impressed. Service was painfully slow. We had to wait nearly an hour to get our food. That is equivalent to a lifetime when you have several young children like we did! We thought we were choosing a place that would be quick and very family friendly but unfortunately that was not at all the case. Might have forgiven them if the food had been amazing but honestly I didn’t even think it was that good. I ordered an enchilada and tostada plate and thought the food was very dry and uninspired. I have had fresher tasting food at Taco Time. My husband thought his burrito was okay, but he has definitely had better food elsewhere as well. In addition they brought my teenagers drinks in the kids cups which caused quite a few eye rolls. I have to give them credit that at least they kept our drinks refilled though! There are many positive reviews for this restaurant and I’m sure we were just unlucky … but we won’t ever be going back. The 3 stars are for the clean environment, the fountain, the great salsa, and the free tortillas!

Best you’ll find in the local area. The staff is always super friendly. I usually have the macho burrito. Good prices, good food, great service, can’t go wrong!

So I am going to put a 4 star but last night I would have rated it at 2 star. First time I went there it was amazing spent time in the bar food was great and service, only a few weeks latter I pass threw town again and got an order to go. I ate in the parking lot cause I didn’t want to be around anyone was super tired. However the food was really cold! Cheese was hard it was just not good. I felt like they looked at me like a bum cause I was pjs, I feel no matter what u wear in anywhere your money is as green as the next person. I had a long day in the rain working just wanted to eat and sleep.

When i got to snohomish in 09 this place was one of the best places to eat in town. Gone consistently down hill. Food quality has gone down, prices have gone up. Im not cheap either. I dont mind shelling out if its worth it. Not worth it. How do you mess up nachos? Worst nachos ive ever had. I noticed a few of the awesome employees that worked there are working at blazing onion in alderwood mall, weird. Management must have gotten poor. I also feel like they only pay attention to regular customers. I should have taken a snapshot of the food, but thats something i do when it looks good. Quite the opposite. Go to todo mexico on 1st. 10 times better. Will never go back.

Every time I go here I am normally satisfied with food and service. Tonight was terrible!!! We were seated, served chips salsa and bean dip. A few minutes later our server took a drink order, I got water and my boyfriend said he doesn’t know yet. Server said okay take your time. About 10 – 15 minutes later they come by to ask what food we want to order. I ordered 3 taco combo, server noted since I wanted steak he would charge me more. I said that’s fine. Boyfriend got fajita burrito. Our food arrived okay timing. We were asked if there was anything else we wanted, I asked for a side of pico de gallo, server said of course. Note my boyfriend was never asked if he wanted water at the very least. As I’m eating I notice my taco shells are stale. Server never came back with pico de gallo or even to ask how our food was. After another good 20 mins he asks if we want boxes. Boyfriend took a box for the rest of his food. Server brings box then asks if we want dessert menu, I decline. Server returns with check. On the receipt it is listed they charge me 3.00 extra PER taco for the steak. An extra $ 3.00 per taco seems messed up to me since I bought a combo dish that was ment to be 14.00. So now my measly combo plate with rice, pinto beans and three stale steak tacos cost more than the steak plate on the menu, my check came out to be 42.32 for fajita burrito and combo dish w/three tacos. Worst experience here at this location.

I am very picky about my Mexican food, but i gotta tell ya this place is amazing. The restaurant is clean and as soon as you wal in the door you can just smell the goodness of the food. That wait staff is awesome and attentive. I forgot to mention they give you refried beans with your chips and salsa, how awesome is that!

This is always a top choice for us in the area. The food is awesome and the wait staff is fun and friendly. They make you feel welcome and right at home. We love hitting up their happy hour and its the place to be for Cinco de Mayo!

Can’t tell you much about the food. Didn’t have a chance– but I can tell you about the service. Went in on a busy Friday night with two kids and my wife. We were told 5 minutes for a table. 35 minutes later, they decide to skip us and seat 24 tops that came in after us– no bueno. Off we went, and I told them to take us off the list and that we wouldn’t be back. The smiling«Whattsa matta you?» manager tried to follow me out to the car to make good, but it was too late, so he decided to throw«What happened» gestures at my wife through the window as we backed out of the lot. Creepy. Went to the taco and tequila place up the road. Should have gone there first.

Like others have sed when you walk in you can get a butter and salsa fresh tortilla. Its pretty good. We got seated in decent time. But we sat for awhile before someone finally took our drink order. Then waited a bit for our food order. we had comllimentary chips salsa and beans. The salsa was a bit too spicy for my liking. I ordered a chimichanga and burrito both chicken. I received a beef chimichanga and chicken burrito. It was good but disappointed with the first bite just ruined it for me. They were so busy i didnt complain. The guacamole and sour cream helped hide somw lf the dry flavor. The burrito was nothing special just chicken in a tortilla with a tomato red sauce over it. Like a smothered burrito. The kids grilled cheese was melted cheese between two pieces of toast. Dont expect to get a refill. Sure water isnt charged but its nice to keep a full glass.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It is a family favorite for several reasons. The warm, genuine greeting as you walk in, the fresh tortillas you’re offered as you wait(on the very rare occasion that they can’t seat you immediately), and the wait staff that is always personable, even to the point of playing harmless pranks on unsuspecting diners all add to the family dining experience. The food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere can’t be beat. If you want drinks, the bar can accommodate pretty much any request, and they are happy to shrink adult sized meals if you have little mouths to feed. If you’re looking for excellent Mexican food in a warm family atmosphere, this is the place.

Food is good, lots of choices on the menu. Great atmosphere and the staff are great. Place can get pretty busy, but the staff handle it well. Lots of drink choices and a great location. My kids love this place, so we’re here often.

This is a pleasant, friendly, clean Mexican restaurant, with a festive atmosphere. Service was warm and attentive this evening. While I think the quality and quantity of carne asada steak in my burrito was quite satisfactory, that doesn’t mean I agree that it was worth $ 15.95. The sauce was a tomato-based – not red bell pepper-based – topping for the burrito, and tasted more Italian than Mexican. Guacamole was fresh, but had no other flavor besides avocado. It was good, and served promptly and hospitably, but nothing outstanding, and it’s more like an $ 11 dinner, not a $ 16 one. Be aware that soda refills are not free here, and they do not warn you about this when they ask if you’d like more soda(see attached photo of check). It’s not that I feel entitled to free soda, but when every other Mexican restaurant(and indeed, a majority of other restaurants, including five-star establishments) in the Puget Sound area refills your soda glass without charge, it’s worth noting when you find one that doesn’t(and that doesn’t ask if you mind the full-price charge for a refill).

Your basic American Mexican restaurant. No different than as Azteca. Ordered two burritos with Picadio they were okay, nothing special though, a little on the blind side. mozzarella sticks were gross. service was adequate but kind of slow. Nothing super special to bring us back.

I grew up in Los Angeles and have been to Mexico(and 10 other countries spanning 3 continents), have eaten in all of them, and rarely have I found a spot as consistently good as this place. Everything is always cooked right, they give you salsa AND bean dip, they make their own tortillas, and they’re open late every night. In a town as small as this, almost everything closes early, but this place has full service until at least 11pm every night. It’s great by yourself or with a group, their happy hour deals are great, there’s plenty of parking, and it’s pretty much impossible to pay more than $ 20 for an entrée here. I just ordered the most expensive meal they have, plus a cup of amazing tortilla soup, and a glass of wine, and after tax it came to less than $ 35. You can easily get out of here for under $ 15 and still have an excellent meal, though.

Nice atmosphere… amazing fresh tortillas at the front door, however overall I thought the food was very bland. my wife sweats after eating ketchup and even she thought it was too bland. The place was very busy, always had fresh chios and drinks but the waiter took awhile to come back and take our order and didn’t come back after the food was delivered except to hand us the bill. not sure if we’ll be back to this location.
