Great place! We just moved to the ridge and needed some food late eve on the 4th of july. Most places closed already but they welcomed us with open arms. Decent food but great friendly service!

Sometimes(because they are understaffed) things don’t go according to plan. That’s the disclaimer. Some things are broken and the owner doesn’t fix them or something, but the employees take the temperatures to make sure the food is Ok(edible). And I like the employees a lot they take directions really well. When this place is good it’s good, people with only one impression somehow only come on the bad days,(or the bad or busy hour). I have come here 20 times and I still come because the better days are more frequent! I don’t eat meat so I can’t say about the flavors. But I have complete control over how my burrito turns out and it is DELICIOUS. And for the love of g_d if you are inside seeing something weird just tell them. They will make you another burrito. Eat burritos. Be happy. Have a smile. RESPECT the employees(because food service sucks) they put up with terribly complicated orders. I like this place!

Beautiful location to stop on the way to Seattle. Had great service and the food was fabulous! Very clean dining area and restroom.

I am a failure for choosing this place. If I would have checked Unilocal first I wouldn’t hate myself now. Hands down the worst fish tacos I’ve ever had, I should have ran out the door when the cranky frowning man put a single precooked fishstick on my tortilla for my portion. The flavor was awful and every bite made me regret this random choice of restaurant. After this experience I will never go to a taco del mar again. I Tavel for work and love finding great taco shops, but this ranks as the very worst taco shop at which I have eaten. I hope you see this before you decide to go, I don’t want you to hate yourself either.

This place continues to go downhill, and it didn’t start strong to begin with. Last quesadilla I had almost no cheese in it.

I’ve never had such bad service. Small servings. Place smells. Very disappointed — wish we would have picked a different restaurant.

I would NOT recommend anyone to go to this location. I actually love Taco Del Mar but it has been many years since I have been to one because I was living out of state. I came in for lunch and had a young girl as the person to make my burrito. Talk about zero customer service, it was painful… She had the worst attitude, didn’t smile once, didn’t even explain to me what is supposed to be included for a veggie burrito. She was more concerned with the high school boys who were outside of the store, then talking to me or let alone even looking at me. At the end I asked if I could get some chips, I wasn’t really sure how it worked so I asked for a side order, I personally feel like customer service staff should be explaining the menu to you in case you haven’t been there or are unsure… at one point another staff walked by and asked why she didn’t just ask me to make it a meal? The girl working with me simply said«I don’t know. this is what she wanted.» I got the feeling after the fact that making it a meal was probably cheaper. needless to say I didn’t tip her. While I was eating I noticed the manager having to help her with the til and giving cash back and it sounded like her response had something to do with she was sorry because she was distracted by her friends outside… I dont know. I live in Seattle but I work in Snoqualimie so sometimes I like to eat out or eat before I go to work, I will never eat here. I can’t stand having snobby/entitled high school students serve me.

We used to visit TDM quite regularly when we first moved to the ridge. I think its been through a few different owners and each time the service and quality has gone down dramatically. The most recent management is ridiculous. Small portions of questionable quality and freshness. I feel bad for the kids that work there because you can tell the are miserable. My past 3 visits have been so disappointing, I will not return until I see a sign in the window saying«under new management».

Avoid. Small portions. No customer service skills from the old grumpy Indian guy who was working. He seemed irritated and mumbled whatever few words he said. This place sucks. Stay away. I would love to see this franchise location fail and leave Snoqualmie ridge.

It was Father’s Day and I had the urge to take down a mondo burrito. A friend of mine suggested that we drive over to the local Taco Del Mar. It was located in an area that I normally don’t frequent but alas my stomach was growling and I was more than willing to check out a new location. When we arrived at two in the afternoon the doors were locked, which seemed a bit odd. We then noticed that there were workers inside that were mopping up. I knocked on the door and was greeted by a high school kid who told me that they were closing early. It seemed very odd. I thought businesses stood by their hours of operation? I thought that the reason you have hours of operation is so your local guests know when they should spend money at your restaurant. Needless to say I won’t be returning.

Unfortunately I was disappointed with my first encounter at this Taco Del Mar location. I was so excited to discover a TDM near my home. I have been to the Kirkland TDM lots of times and was always satisfied with the service. But not so much with this one. The girls making the burritos were rude and seemed annoyed. And one of them was annoyed that her coworker was having trouble making a transaction… which she scoffed at. Once I returned home with my Mondo Burrito I discovered ground beef juice all over the tin foil. I opened it up to find the burrito tore basically in half. This never happened to me before at any other TDM locations. Long story short… disappointing service.

Pretty terrible quality everything. So so salsa. Over fried chips that taste like old oil. Refried beans that taste old and greasy. Pulled pork was also flavorless. The queso sauce tastes like the one at a movie theater. Will never return and was a total waste of money. Fast food would have been better. Only the sliced jalapenos out of the can were good. Big letdown.

Came in last night about ½ prior to closing. I have only been to a Taco Del Mar once before in Bellevue so I only have one experience to compare it to. I feel I had the same proportion of meat in my burrito as my Bellevue visit. I carefully watched the employee place one full scoop of meat in each burrito. Yes, the mondo probably could handle at least a scoop more but it seems like one scoop is standard. However, I did get a full cup of the queso at this location with my combo. The Bellevue location only gave me one small scoop. The young kid was friendly and did a great job making my food

Usually I wouldn’t think of rating a Taco Del Mar because they are usually consistent. Wrong! This is, by far, the worst Taco DM in over 15 years in various stores. When I went in, I wanted to wash my hands. No towels. There was one person in front of me in line and the(older male) employee was disconnected to the customer — no eye contact, mumbling, and no energy. Then he came to me. When I mentioned no towels, he shrugged. He made no effort to engage me. I don’t think he said one word. That’s when I decided to use Unilocal to warn others. The ratings are all bad with many complaints of smaller than expected portions. Besides my negative Unilocal review, I plan to contact the company.

As others have said, they’re really cheap. The portions are small and they charge you extra for anything they can without telling you until you’re at the cashier. I LOVETDM at other locations and I’m so disappointed with this one. The food is ok, but less tasty and more expensive than other locations. Dang!

I love Taco del Mar. Like others, I have being going to the franchise for years. Ordered the Momdo burrito. Like the others I was shocked regarding the portion size. Ordered sour cream and guacamole and the portion was so small they could have use a small paint brush to apply it. Needless to say it went downhill from there. They put less than half a scoop of everything. Don’t bother stoping here.

15 years of eating at TDM and this was literally the smallest burrito I’ve ever been served at one of their restaurants. I even asked twice and they insisted it wasn’t. Someone else made the burrito of one of the other people with me and it was two inches longer. Still love TDM but I’ll never eat at this location again.

I went in a few months ago after a change of management and was disappointed by the small portions of rice and beans in my veggie burrito. I ordered the combo with chips and queso and again was disappointed by the miniscule portion of chips. But what really turned me off was the queso — it was obviously well watered down. Gross! I just went back to give them at second chance and wish I hadn’t. Still smaller portions in the burritos than other TDM’s I’ve been to. This time I ordered the chips and salsa. The quantity of salsa was so small I literally used it up on three chips. This TDM is really a convenient lunch spot for me and I really wanted to like it but I’ll be eating elsewhere from now on.

I had not been to the Snoqualmie Taco del Mar for a few years, and thought I would try it out now that it’s under new management. Unfortunately, I was overwhelingly disappointing. The food was fine — as one would expect from a franchise, where food quality is tightly controlled. But I was shocked to see how little meat and cheese were being put into the burritos and tacos. SHOCKED. I personally observed the employee(an older gentleman, presumably the manager) putting no more than an ounce or 2 of meat into each taco. Remember the old«scoops» of meat? Gone. He was using tongs to place tiny bits of meat into the tacos, and doing so very deliberately in order to use as little meat as possible. Same for the cheese, resulting in a taco that ended up less than half full. Nobody likes paying $ 5 for some mostly empty shells. The burrito was equally as under-filled. Terrible customer experience. I understand that meat and cheese are the 2 of the highest food costs in a quick serve restaurant. But Taco del Mar calls them«Mondo burritos», and clearly the managers and/or franchise owners at the Snoqualmie location do NOT know what«Mondo» means. If you are worried about costs, raise your prices by $ 1 and use more meat, just like your competitors. Don’t force me to pay another $ 1.50 for«extra meat», which only yields 3 – 4 ounces in total. As soon as the Snoqualmie Taco del Mar returns to normal portion sizes, I’ll be back. Until then, I say skip it, unless you’re on a serious diet.
