Best spot on the mountain for value and taste. They usually have 6 – 8 different kinds of stews and soups along with a regular menu of salads & sandwiches and excellent homemade bread.

The Stew Pot is a cute cozy restaurant located right in the middle of Snowmass Village Mall. We came here for a lunch break after snowboarding on the mountain. We came around 12:30ish and there were already people waiting outside. We got seated within 15 minutes. The Stew Pot is obviously known for their stews, but they offer sandwiches, salads, soups as well at reasonable prices less than $ 10. I ordered the Stew of the Day which was Green Chile Chicken which came with a slice of honey wheat fresh bread. The Green Chile Chicken was delicious, not spicy and perfect for the cold weather. The portion was a little small, which didn’t bother me because I was planning to go snowboarding again after lunch. If you’re looking a for a lunch spot, The Stew Pot is a must-visit!

I love this place! Very warm, cozy, nice vibe, reasonable price, and great, delicious food! I will definitely go back here again the next time I visit Snowmass. Their stews and soups, and everything on their menu is very delicious!

Extremely family friendly and un-ski-resort like. My daughter loved it, wiping the bowl down with her bread so as not to let any go to waste.

Best Beef Stew I’ve ever had!!! Perfect meal after a day of skiing. We will be back before we leave Snowmass! We were a party of 5 and the others got chili cheese dog & Beef Cabernet stew and everyone agreed they want to come back to eat here!!! Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection!!!

I’ve been coming to ski here for almost all of the last 10 years. I would never skip this place. My fav place to enjoy a warm up and some of whatever kind of fresh made stew they have that day and that yummy bread. They are all so good. Can’t wait to eat there again next month!

I got the Greek wrap without cheese and without cream sauce(vegan). It has a tiny bit of tabbouleh and some hummus. Unfortunately the filling is probably 75% iceberg lettuce. Would be a lot better with more tabbouleh and hummus. Pretty attentive service though.

If The Stew Pot closes, we will stop coming to Snowmass. The best spot in the village. Love the food. Love the atmosphere. Love the staff. Have never been disappointed. It feels like you are eating at your neighbors house.

We had the Alpine Beef Stew over mashed potatoes. To be honest, it was completely subpar and should not be called a stew. It was basically watered down beef broth, a handful of mushrooms, and some cut carrots poured over an ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes. Maybe being from Portland and Seattle, I’ve been spoiled but for a restaurant in a resort town like Snowmass, the bar should be higher. The cook needs to take his time and thicken the stew, used some better ingredients and add some flavor. The presentation was also subpar with the delivery of a sliced piece of whole grain bread on a paper plate.

First, let’s be clear — this is not fine dining. But in terms of value, it is a great find. We went in for lunch over President’s Day weekend and made a dinner reservation for the whole family to return that evening. The soups and stews are amazing — the chicken stew with mashed potatoes is a must. We also tried the Mediterranean salad, the chili, a Belgian stew and the chili burrito. At lunch they turn tables quickly, so if there is a line, it moves. You’ll be back on the slopes in no time! Still we did not feel rushed. Dinner was nicely paced. For both meals, the service was great. They have kid friendly items as well as more sophisticated favors. If you’re in Snowmass, definitely drop in for a meal. And if you like a toasty cocktail, get the Apple Pie.

Nice spot in Snowmass with quality food and affordable prices. Staff are very friendly and provide helpful tips on the menu. I had a special stew(habanero +) that was quite tasty. Kid friendly menu.

Went to the Stew Pot on Saturday night, filled a pot with 10 orders of beef stew. Received the discount for the size of the order, however when I got home, the stew was like soup. vEry little potatoes, carrots and beef. This is the third time this happened. Very disappointed.

One of my wife’s colleagues recommended the Stew Pot and we decided to visit. Wow… It was amazing. Their chicken soup was hearty and great. We loved it so much that within a week we went there twice. Last day I got a takeaway for my wife who had cold. Very nice place but very busy.

It’s about the size of a shoebox but the salads and bread were excellent. Oddly enough to the stew was pretty bad all around. I tried three different types and they were all bland and overcooked. Maybe I came on the wrong day.

Very cramped place, kind of expensive for how small the meals are. Paid $ 15 for one sandwich and $ 6 for a cup of soup. Other then that great little home feeling place.

The food wasn’t particularly mind-blowing, but the service was good. I tried the Cowboy Beef Stew and washed it down with a Colorado Native. My meal needed a bit more flavor, I had to add more salt and pepper to my stew in order to enjoy it.

When a split pea soup is as good as my mother’s, I am sold. The soup was on the same level as the service: pretty near perfect. Though the space is tiny, the soup packs a big punch. Robust and hearty flavors like chicken sausage and rice, beef stew, and of course — split pea soup with ham are only the beginning of a flavorful menu of soup and sandwiches. The soup was thick with great flavor and the perfect amount of ham. With a decent serving of potato chips on the side, I wasn’t even compelled to mindlessly eat the salty, fried lays chips, because the split pea soup had my attention the whole meal. So perfect for a snowy day in Snowmass. To accompany our sandwich, we settled on the brie, apple, and turkey sandwich. Per our waitress’s honest and happily accepted recommendations, the brie and turkey was as delicious as promised. Plus, you have to appreciate a server that prompts you to go for the sandwich that you ordinarily wouldn’t have on any given day — you gotta treat yourself every once and a while.

I was so glad to have walked by this place! The soups and stews are delicious here I’m actually contemplating if I should give it another try before I leave the area. I had the special stew for the day which was a jalapeño and pork stew over mashed potatoes. It was DELICIOUS. sure the prices where a little up there but it was pretty fresh which I think made it totally worth it :)
