The Notorus lodge is a fun place to stay. It’s right next to the park with beach access to the lake. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are themed and gives you the feeling of staying at a true lodge. If you’d like to take a bath in the mineral water of the lake, there’s a separate faucet in the bath tub to do just that. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are clean. There is wifi too. The TV’s need to be upgraded to this century but overall a great place to stay. Lots of parking, even easy street parking for RV’s and semi trucks. Oh and the prices are very low, $ 85 for a standard room.

I had an okay experience with the Notaras Lodge. If you’re looking for a rustic experience and don’t mind the slow pace of the service, this could be a great stay. There was a charm to our evening in the Eagles Nest, but there were also some elements of our stay that I personally don’t have the patience for. To start, it was a challenge to get a reservation. I called after work for several days because they don’t take online reservations, but was informed each time that the computers were down and they couldn’t help me. Finally someone told me that they could not take reservations after 5pm. I called early the next day and got a busy signal for hours(perhaps they’re still on dial-up?). I was told that check-in time was 4pm. When we arrived at 5:30, we searched for 10 minutes for where to check-in, because the office was closed. I called and was informed that I had to check in across the street at a restaurant. When we got to our room, it was still being cleaned(an hour-and-a-half after check-in). We stayed in the Eagles Nest. THEGOOD: It was not too different from the pictures provided on the website. It had a nice kitchen, stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware(helpful, as there are not many restaurants in the town). The jacuzzi was large and clean(although we could never figure out how to turn the jets on). There were two separate sleeping areas, and two separate bathrooms(there were only two of us, but it could be nice for kids, or traveling with another couple). There was also a private balcony where we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast in the morning. THEWEIRD: I have never seen so many light switches in my life. We couldn’t figure out what most of them did, or how to turn some lights on. There were also speakers throughout the place, but we couldn’t figure out where the source was. The decorations were quirky, and it felt like we were staying at some distant great-aunt’s cabin. It was fun to discover all of the weird things about the room. THEUGLY: The logs were dusty and there were a lot of cobwebs on the walls and ceiling. Overall, the reservation process was unfavorable, but the room was interesting. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay again, but wouldn’t be opposed to it if I was in the area.

Who would have thought such a gem existed in Soup Lake? We stayed in room 25 which has a balcony with a view of the lake. Each room is decorated with a theme and ours was a hunting theme. Really a fun place to stay and soak in their mineral baths. I will definitely be returning.

This place is delightful. Right on Soap Lake, with its healing mineral waters. You can take a «mud bath» in the lake. Spread the mud on and let it dry for the full effect. We were in the Old Mexico suite, and it was incredibly charming. Every corner was decked out to make you feel like you were in Mexico, including a tiled roof overhang that made you feel like you were outside. But the most remarkable thing is that we had a huge Jacuzzi in our room — plenty of room for two. Two water sources to choose from: hot and cold of either fresh water or Soap Lake water. We filled it up with Soap Lake water and soaked. It was silky smooth. Could have stayed in there all day. Soap Lake is just an itty-bitty town, but this jewel is right in the middle of it. This is THE place to relax. And Don’s restaurant across the street was GREAT food! Much finer than I expected in a small town.

Stayed in the executive suite. We called last minute and it was the only«room» available and let me tell you it was so worth the price! Loved having a full kitchen and the jacuzzi can be filled with Soap Lake water. Also you can see the lake from the room. Had the most awesome trip ever and will certainly stay here again in the future!!!

President Roosevelt stayed here back in the day. The rooms are themed and have water pumped in from the lake and regular city water in the tubs so you can choose. Soap Lake of course is thought to have medicinal powers for aches and pains including arthritis among other things. Neat hotel for a one night get a way or vacation. Same owners as the restaurant«Don’s» right next door which is good with a full bar.
