Woodward needs an online registration system. 2 hour wait to register only to be told no space until 3 hours later. Business(paying customers) literally walking away due to the long line for paper only reg process. Facilities are modern and awesome which is why it is so surprising that registration process is from last century.

This review is for the Moondoe’s Coffee. Bad handling of food. The employee was touching money and then continued preparing foods(i.e. sandwiches, donuts, etc.) without gloves and/or wash their hands. The facilities could best the best but the café is disgusting.

I was so disappointed with this place. Bought two of my kids passes last year. The staff were very slow and rude and when I tried to call with questions there was no answer. We drive 2 hours, wait in the check in line for 20 minutes only to be told they only let people in on the hour. We would have to wait 50 minutes to get in. I was so angry because it is not like they were at capacity and my kids had an unlimited pass. We didn’t want to wait in the parking lot for an hour so we left and went to Reno. They went 2 more times and enjoyed it but then we drove up again and they turned us away because of capacity.(even though we saw at least 5 people exit that had been inside.) So why they wouldn’t let 2 kids in when 5 just left I don’t know. We never went back and I felt ripped off, I paid a lot of money for my passes! I think it would be cool if you lived close and could try and get in whenever. I wouldn’t get a pass if you have to travel to get there because there is no guarantee you will even get in. Then your stuck in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do.

Last weekend, we hosted a three hour birthday party at Woodward Tahoe for our seven year old son. It was awesome! We hauled 9 kids and 9 adults from an hour away, so expectations were high, and Woodward exceeded them. Tom(one of the managers) made sure everything ran smoothly, and even was able to bring in a scooter pro, Bobby Rivas, to be the coach for our group. The place is flat-out amazing, unlike any indoor or outdoor sports facility that we’ve ever seen, and the vibe is very chill, but also very safe. Our group of kids pushed the limits on what they could do(on the trampolines and indoor and outdoor bowls), but we had not a single scratch at the end of the session. I was wary because there were some communication snafus when I tried to initially reserve that day and time for the party, but Tom more than made up for that by confirming everything the week before, meeting me at check in, periodically checking in w/us, etc. The rest of the staff was great, too. We are now planning our next party up there for our 10 year old in April!

The staff was amazing. Facilities clean. Was our first visit, we are from the Bay Area. Chad was helping my grandson and helped him achieve his goal, back flip on BMX. Well worth the 4hr drive! Can’t say enough good things about this place!!!

Woodward is one that wants the fun to keep going, no matter what season it is. From winter to summer, Woodward provides an array of amazing activities, inclusive to a myriad of interests people may want to tap into. The most crucial reason why this is the case is 100% due to the staff. They lead with compassion enthusiasm and an open heart, making sure both adults and youth feel included and safe. Check out their Instagram: woodwardtahoe to see some of their amazing staff in action as well as the campers. Big ups to the flow

This review is about my experience taking a terrain park lesson at Woodward as an adult. To start: I had never been to Woodward before, nor did they say this on their website, but while Woodward sells adult lessons, their clientele seems to be almost entirely children. This ultimately worked in my favor, as you’ll see in a second. I decided to sign up for an adult group ski lesson. I’m an advanced skier, and I typically spend most of my day in bowls or off-trail on whatever mountain I’m riding. However, I’ve never been good at jumps or tricks, or had any formal instruction on them, so I decided to get a lesson and see what I could learn. I showed up on time to sign in for my group lesson. The employee, who I believe was named Phoebe, informed me I was the only adult who had signed up for an adult group lesson. She then tried to convince me to join a group of 12 year olds, or to wait until the afternoon and see if other adults had shown up. However, considering that the product I paid for was a morning lesson for ages 18+, I didn’t feel too bad telling her that this wasn’t my problem and she needed to honor the terms of the sale. After some back and forth, she eventually relented. The result? I got a 3-hour private lesson for the group rate! So while I was frustrated with Phoebe’s attempt to convince me to take a kids’ class, things ultimately worked out very well for me. My instructor was a guy named Eric. He’s younger than I am, and I got the distinct impression I’m one of the older people he’s ever worked with(I’m not even old either. I’m 27!). Eric asked me what I wanted to learn today, and I told him that, if we were being ambitious, I’d like to land a backflip by the end of the lesson. We started with jumps. Eric pretty quickly identified the flaws in my technique, and within an hour, I was feeling pretty comfortable on the medium/large-sized jumps in the terrain park. We then went inside to the Woodward facility. This facility is the reason I chose Woodward in the first place: they have indoor ski ramps with pits full of soft foam blocks for you to land in. That way, when you land on your head, it doesn’t hurt! I was already able to do a standing backflip. Eric tested me on this and gave me some pointers on technique. Then we put on the indoor skis and headed to the jump ramps. I pushed hard and took as few breaks as possible(climbing out of the foam pit is exhausting). By the end of the lesson, I was landing backflips at will into the foam. So a quick summary of my experience: — Arrival was a bit jarring, because I was not expecting the facility to be overrun with little kids — Sign-in was rocky, as the lady tried to stick me in a children’s class. I stood my ground and everything worked out quite well eventually — The important part — my experience with my instructor — was excellent! He was able to significantly improve my jumping technique and teach me how to do backflips, all in a span of 3 hours As long as you’re not uncomfortable going to a place that serves mostly kids, the Woodward coaches are more than qualified to teach adults too(also, many of the kids they teach are seriously good… much better at 13 years old than I will ever be). I’d definitely be willing to come here again for a lesson in the future.

This place is really cool! Super clean and state of the art for training as well as fun. Coffee shop above for the spectators and a great place to lounge when you’re not hitting the slopes and watch all of the goings on. Staff is very hands on and attentive.
