just before you get to chattanooga on hwy 27. or 29. depending. same road… there lies Wiley’s Back Yard Bar b cue… delightfully tasty… the only complaint i could possibly muster is the tea was a bit sweet because they were out of unsweetened. we tried the chicken, brisket, and ribs with with cowboy beans and seasoned fries. The ribs were wonderful with just the right amount of finely ground spices in the slightly crispy rub. nothing we had was too spicy for children. i would think the cowboy beans and the fries would be a hit with kids. the brisket was so juicy and flavorful it didnt need sauce. the house sauce is not too thick or sweet for dipping. most locals today were getting the brisket. it rocks… so dodge the traffic and decision making of chattanooga and hit Wiley’s on the way in. You wont regret it.
