Trine is a sweet girl, but experience as a nail tech, isn’t on her side. I bought the Groupon deal she had last summer and made it to two of my 3 appts. Both times, my shellac manicure was a bit sloppy, almost as if she couldn’t see real well up close. Shellac in my nail beds and up over my cuticle. I decided not to get my 3rd manicure because I would have to remove it myself within a few days. Like I said, she is a sweet girl and I am sure with lots more practice, she will become an excellent manicurist. Right now just isn’t her time.

I tried a Mani-Pedi with Trine(pronounced Trina) because of a Unilocal discount coupon. It was easy to set up an appointment with Trine, and she called to remind me of the appointment a couple days before. Like what the Unilocalers have said, Trine is very friendly and very professional. She works with Linda on the nails section of the salon. For my pedi, Trine gave my feet a good massage and removed the callus on the bottoms of my feet. She worked through the pedi with quickly. They have a huge selection of OPI nail polish. One thing I should have done first before starting the pedi or mani is to pick out the colors ahead of time. When Trine asked me which color I wanted, I didn’t have that much time to go through the selection as I was still sitting in the pedicure chair. Overall, my pedicure was well done(lasted a week + now), but my manicure chipped within a couple days. Trine also mentioned that she’s going to move to Norway in a few months, and possibly for a few years, so she is referring all returning clients to Linda. It’s a shame since Trine did build up quite a clientele and has tons of excellent references on Unilocal

Trine is awesome and it was probably the best manicure I’ve ever had. She is super sweet and really makes sure to do a good job. She is not in a hurry and you can tell she cares about what she is doing. There is no rush to get in and out like other salons and there is no upselling of other services. I will 100% go back. Only downside is that you have to make an appointment in advance. I’m not one to usually make nail appointments I just go when I need but I am def going to start.

I came to Trine because of a great Groupon deal for Shellac manicures. Trine’s station is inside Linda’s hair & nail salon in a strip mall in Solana Beach(upstairs, above the dry cleaner). Trine is very friendly, but doesn’t force small talk if it’s not your thing(like me). I’ve had 3 shellac manicures so far, and all of them have turned out great. I’m planning to go back for a regular manicure next visit, and will definitely be back after that. The facility is very clean and she uses quality products. She also has evening and weekend appointments, which is a huge plus for me. I’m not someone who always gets her nails done, but this will be my go to place for special occasions.

she had a groupon deal that was only available on a certain day but she still accepted it even though it was 2 days after. it was my first time getting a shellac manicure and she did a great job! she’s friendly and doesn’t make you feel like you’re just another customer. the location of her shop is a bit out of the way for me since there are nail shops located closer to where i live but its worth the drive for the kind of service she provides! :)

Trine was able to get me in at the last minute before I went out of town as I was in desperate need of a manicure and pedicure. My shellac fingers and toes look great! Great Value!
