This Subway location was good. The staff was nice. I had the family with me. They were very patient as the kids decided what they wanted to eat.

This location has the worse customer service I have ever seen. Employees do not speak in English, nor say hello, thank you, how are you or even hi. I have heard them talking about customers in Spanish on a regular basis. They do not manage the store well, lines are allowed to be cut by as many people as they see fit. And if you have a bad experience, they do not wear name tags, so you just have to make it awkward and ask for a name. In addition, you can forget asking for any recommendations, they DONOTKNOWTHEMENU and will make you feel awkward for asking for«which sauce is the best on this sandwich?». They need a manager that can actually manage the store and make sure customer service is still good and people are being treated fairly. At this time, it is not. It is the worst Subway I have ever gone to.

I know it’s just Subway but man, horrible customer service at this location. The two girls that were working there today clearly didn’t want to be there. They slapped our sandwiches together. weird vibe going on there.

There was a bum filling up 20 water bottles at the soda machine and the staff didn’t seem too concerned. I’m sure those bottles were sterilized before being pressed against the dispenser nozzles… Also they ran out of spicy mustard, then substituted yellow mustard without even asking me if that was okay. As other reviewers pointed out, there is also no bathroom here.

I really haaate giving one star ratings, especially since I didn’t even get a chance to order but this location is lacking customer service. They are usually open at 6 A. M and I came in around 6.45AM. When I came in, no one was present, so I waited a minute and a lady comes out saying that«she hasn’t got any sales yet» and I told her that doesn’t make sense and that I can be her first customer lol and she said no I can’t make any sales yet because the register isn’t open. I didn’t want to be rude but I was a little irritated so I asked«Why did you open the store when you can’t sell anything?» and she replied, «Sorry, I don’t know» …then it got awkward so i just said thanks anyways have a good rest of your day and left. I could understand if it was 10 minutes after the store opens and can’t take sell because of the cash register or whatever, but when it’s almost an hour after, there’s really no excuse on refusal. I wasn’t even going to pay card. Anyways, I still love subway but I wouldn’t go to this location anymore.

I’m a big fan of subway and should do more reviews, my bad but most are decent and no need to write home about. This was an exception, early sunday evening couple of weeks ago stopped to get a sandwich for my significant other before train back north after a bad experience earlier with dinner(not influencing review). Only maybe 4 folks in front of us and 2 staff and it took at least 30 minutes to get 1 sandwich, and they had no tomatoes or cilantro. Behind us they were lined up way outside the door and several others just gave up and left which was a good move. Staff were friendly and sandwich was fine in the end other than the missing ingredients. No restrooms BTW. Very disappointing so recommend avoiding unless you have lots of time and don’t care if you get what you want.

Cheap and quick. No better or worse than the usual Subway and gets the job done.

I went to this Subway because it was convenient to the train station, which turned out to be a poor reason. The woman behind the counter seemed to be well-meaning, but barely spoke English. We got three sandwiches to go, and tried to pay — and the computer kept crashing. With time ticking away to catch my train, I waited almost 10 minutes, and finally — gracias a Dios, as she would say — the computer came up, and she ran my credit card. And the computer wouldn’t print a receipt. I still have no idea if I was charged properly for the three sandwiches. But most Subways say that«if you don’t get a receipt, your meal is free!» So I got the number of the franchisee(or so they said), and once on the train called the number. Instead of Brad Beyer, the franchisee, a man named Eric answered the phone. Initially he said that their policy was that they would offer a free 6-inch sandwich — for which I have absolutely no need. After a long discussion, he agreed to refund the charges(which, due to both the delay and the lack of receipt, I deserved twice over). He did say that I would have to come back into the store so that he could refund the charges to my credit card with the card present. So I came back in this morning — and the manager on duty said that she had been told to give me a free 6-inch sandwich. I called Eric again, and he said that he had talked to the owner, and the owner had(in my words) refused to honor the promise made by his employee. I called the Subway corporate number, and the person who answered the phone refused to do anything whatsoever about it except say the she was sorry. I’ve got news for businessmen who don’t know it — in business, apologies take tangible form. If you’re not willing to do anything for your offended customer, then that’s exactly what your apology is worth, and also probably the amount of business you’ll get from that(former) customer in future. I’m done with Subway, and they have Brad Beyer, the franchisee of this store, to thank for it.

I was craving Subway all day and was excited to go pick up a couple of sandwiches for me and the boyf. Little did I know I had an ugly surprise waiting for me… I ordered my favorite BLT toasted with an assortment of veggies and sauce. My boyfriend got the philly steak footlong. I was really enjoying my sandwich when I felt something sharp and hard poke the inside of my cheek. I reached in… and pulled out a long, pointy piece of plastic. YUCK! I’m getting disgusted just thinking about it all over again. Needless to say, I threw that crap away. This wasn’t the first time I’ve been disappointed by Subway(though definitely the first to make me want to throw up). I frequent the Subway in Rancho Bernardo near my work. I called in an order for, guess what, a BLT. I asked the guy if there would be bacon on my BLT and he flatly said yes, of course, there is bacon in the Bacon Lettuce Tomato sandwich. Great, just confirming! Oh, but the joke was on me. I went back to work, eager to dive into my sandwich and there was NOFREAKINGLETTUCE! Apparently, I have to double check on every little ingredient to make sure they add LETTUCE to my BACONLETTUCETOMATO sandwich. Are you freaking kidding me? I’ve given this place many chances, but that plastic ordeal was the last straw. Goodbye Subway! And good riddance!

Went there on 7⁄26 at about 6:00pm. CASHONLY, what the what? This may possibly be the WORST Subway in San Diego County. When I called later and asked for a manager, the guy barely spoke English. And, this was after making several phone calls without an answer. The lights are on, but nobody’s home.

Would give it zero stars. I never expect amazingness when I go to subway, however I don’t expect to be overcharged for my average sandwiches. I ordered a footlong turkey bacon avocado sandwich, which on the menu is listed at $ 7.25. In addition, I was charged $ 1.20 for bacon and $ 1.20 for avocado. Wtf.

A Subway sandwich is the perfect storm of functional, if uninspired, edibility and the I-am-hungry-and-this-place-looks-familiar American feeding mentality. When I ventured into the Solana Beach Subway and ordered a sandwich as best I could, the forgettable automatons behind the counter took a piece of mechanically separated, processed chicken product that was sitting in a bucket of BBQ ooze and jammed it into the microwave. I was then handed a bag of chips and a soda. It was in that moment that the piercing irony of Subway’s «Eat Fresh» slogan that propelled them into a billion dollar success was most poignant. Alas, the sandwich was not terrible — but neither was it very good. Everything about it strove for perfect averageness. The laser like focus with which it attempted to nail a perfect 5 out of 10 is something to marvel at. My sandwich fell directly between«Holy crap this is the greatest thing I’ve ever tasted!» and«Does this taste like asparagus urine to anyone else?» If mediocrity were a competitive sport, Subway would be the undisputed champion of the world. Sadly, the fight for ultimate mediocrity would cease to be a competition the moment Subway entered the fray because there simply is nothing on this planet more unexceptional than a Subway sandwich. But then again, I knew that and I still ate lunch here.

I work within walking distance of here so it’s been kind of a necessity. However, the last few times I have been in the employees are RUDE, they THROW the meat & cheese around, they don’t listen to what you are asking for and the«toasted» sandwiches become cold by the time they are wrapped up. This place is TERRIBLE and I will never go here again. My colleagues feel the same way.

This location is lucky to even get 2 stars. I am a huge fan of Subway(so by default 2 stars are give). and I eat there often. However, this location is crap. and i will never go again. I have been to this location 4 times. The first time, they made an okay sandwich, but ran out of Avocado. No biggie, right? Well, not so much especially when Avocado is the main part of the sandwich. This happen 2 more times. The last and final visit was a few weeks back. They ran out of Avocado AGAIN(keep in mind, we are in Avocado season now) and there soda machine ran out of ICE and they didn’t have time or care to make more. So they didn’t… the worst part was when the cashier was rapping up my sandwich, he sneezed and barely covered his mouth and as if that wasn’t enough. It was clear that he was sick. Hopping i was safe to eat the sandwich(with my soda and no ice) I did. however, the next day i came down with a HORRIBLE Flu. I was out of commission for almost an entire week. A run down: 4 Total visits, 3 times they ran out of Advo, 1 time they ran out of Ice and 1 time the cashier sneezed on my sandwich and i got sick…

I have been coming to this place for at least 20 years now when my dad used to have an office nearby. This place is usually pretty crowded — probably because it is so close to the beach(Fletcher Cove) and because it is across the street from the Solana Beach train station. They have patio seating which is nice and a few tables inside. I have never had a bad sandwich here yet. The bread always tastes fresh and the people here are very friendly and they get you in and out pretty quick without much of a wait. I am sure that Jersey Mike’s sandwiches up the road has taken away some of their business but because of Subway’s great food and reputation, they will be here for a long time.
