1. It is simply an impossibly too be in a bad mood around Nezi. His enthusiasm is infectious.
2. His haircuts are good. I mean really good. What he does, isn’t just a job, its a passion.
4. Did I mention the really great haircut?
5. He loves his family. When he talks about his boys, he glows from the inside, out.
6. He’s opinions are shared with sincerity. If you don’t want to know the truth, don’t ask Nezi.
7. No one is allowed to leave unhappy (but with Nezi at the helm… why would you?)

I’ve lived in Solana Beach for 5 years. Every stylist for some reason… no matter what photo I show them… Or what I say… want to cut my hair so I look like someone just put a bowl over my head and trimmed around it… that is JUST NOT MY LOOK! Along comes my incredible son and says… I know JUST the guy and JUST the place for you to look as beautiful as you truly are. (Yes! I have a great son!). My son paid for everything!
Nezi spent time telling me about my hair and my face and how hair pulls everything together. He told me what he wanted to do with the cut AND color and high lights and WHY. He told me hilarious stories… treated me with such dignity and respect… I felt like I was part of his family and I just met him! What he did with my hair is truly TRANSFORMING. I look SEXY! My hazel eyes finally pop with my hair color! He didn’t even MENTION cutting off the length, and truly I look gorgeous again! All the beautiful women that are also part of this amazing place were as kind and fun as can be! You can tell EVERYONE loves being there! People would walk by and give a big hello… come in and chat for abit… This is a very special place with very special, talented, friendly, kind, people who LOVE what they do and EXCEL to the max!!! Go see MEGAN! I’ve been seeing her for 10 years. I send all of my friends & family to her, now they have sent their extended families & friends to her too! When she moved to Shampoo Too from Stainless it was no question, I’ll follow her wherever she goes! This new salon is really fun! I get so many compliments on my long & healthy blonde hair. thank you so much Megan!

I am have not visited yet. However, I received a text to the wrong name (after spelling and saying it three times) asking if I was coming in or needed to reschedule.
Um. Wrong name and wrong date. However, the time was correct.
Stuff like this drives me absolutely crazy. This is a business and information like this is important. Critical. Without correct booking information, how does a business like a salon survive?
I hope the service is better than this experience. I am not convinced thus far.

Thanks Nezi for restarting the health of my hair. After a few traumatizing experiences this last year I’m finally in good hands. Very accommodating and fun calm experience. I don’t feel stressed or nervous anymore and I’m excited for my hair to grow back out healthy

Wow! What a cool place! This salon really is an experience. The location is perfect, right in the middle of beautiful Solana Beach, but with plenty of parking. The inside is super stylish, but the staff is so down-​to-​earth and friendly. I followed my hair angel, Ryan Thomas here and am so glad I did! Bravo Shampoo Too and Bravo Ryan Thomas!!!

My whole experience was wonderful! Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because it was a little bit pricey but it was worth it for the great haircut by Katina, plus I had a blast. The salon is very adorable and the people that work there are so sweet and fun! Highly recommend getting your hair cut by Katina, especially if you have longer hair and want a stylist that will cater to your wants and not their own.

Shampoo Too is by far the best salon I have ever been to. I felt comfortable and welcomed the whole time I was there. All the staff were super friendly and everyone seemed to work as a team. Brett was my stylist and he did such an awesome job on my hair. I felt as if he took his time on my hair and made sure it looked perfect.

I scheduled a super last minute appointment at Shampoo Too as I had to spontaneously get on a flight the next morning. I found them on Groupon, and was paired with the amazing Shlomit Arviv. She really understood my damaged, curly hair and did an amazing job with me. My blowout lasted for DAYS AND DAYS afterwards and felt amazing. I would definitely refer my friends to her!

After my last review, my schedule changed and I was able to continue seeing Shlomit during the week! She has continually done amazing color with my hair! I have awful, dry and fluffy hair but every time I leave, Shlomit makes my hair look outstanding. All of the other employees at Shampoo Too that I have encountered during my visits have all been extremely nice and welcoming. I would trust any of them to color my hair in her absence. This salon is a breath of fresh air.

Eden did my hair and now I feel like a million bucks. She totally understood what I wanted and made me feel so sexy walking out the salon. I am super pleased with her and will be back ASAP !

Ania was AMAZING!!! I went with a groupon and I was just hoping for a good blowout but it was beyond good it was the best one I have ever gotten and a big part of that was because Ania cut my hair too. I have always wondered if an expensive haircut was worth it and this girl is – she literally took an hour cutting my hair. She went through all my hair and cut all my dead ends. I left feeling like a million bucks. In addition to that she was super nice and had great style. The salon itself had a ton of style and had an ocean feel to it. I brought my baby with me and they were super nice about it and a lot of the stylist were very friendly and came and said hello. The only catch is this place isn’t cheap, but I will say it was an amazing experience and I would go back and recommend it for sure.

Badri Kermani! What can’t I say about this women! She is one of the best professional hair stylist I have come across in many years. As a Creative Director for a local Fashion Magazine here in San Diego, I have depended on her expertise time and time again… and guess what? She has NEVER let me down. Her work stands out from others because of her vast knowledge and experience that spans from coast to coast. She is passionate about what she does and it shows by the many awards she has received over the last year here in San DIego:

THE SALON:
I absolutely love how immaculately clean and organized Shampoo Too is. Most salons that I’ve visited are almost always jumbled with shelves of products that they push you to buy. And then there are the attempts at «décor». It can feel claustrophobic. There is none of that at Shampoo Too. Not that is noticeable, anyway. Elegantly sleek stations, simple large mirrors and a Chic New York flair.
FIVE STARS!

HORRIBLE experience. Stay away, especially during the summer months!
Summary: poor service, uncomfortable environment, way too pricey.
I arrived at this very industrial salon on a hot day. First, there was no receptionist on duty when I arrived, so it was 5 to 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that I was there. Then my stylist was 20 minutes late for my appointment. So far, not a good impression for a first time client.
It was so uncomfortable in this place, I almost left during those 20 minutes I spent waiting for my stylist. There’s no A/​C and only one fan ceiling fan was on, so it was SWELTERING in there. Look, I know that a lot of people don’t have A/​C here in San Diego, but I think that if you’re a salon owner you should realize that there are going to be some really hot days and that clients expect to be comfortable (at a bare minimum) when paying for services. At a minimum, they should have several fans running. My clothes were sticking to me, and I’m sure you can imagine how much more uncomfortable it got when my stylist started blow-​drying my hair. Hot environment + hot air = miserable. Kind of ruins your hair style when you have to go home and shower afterward.
After all of this unpleasantness, I was presented with a $ 130 bill for a TRIM. I have long straight hair and just got an inch or so taken off. I’m shocked that it was that expensive when plenty of other more upscale and comfortable salons in the area charge significantly less for the same service. (e.g.: try Studio Savvy in Solana Beach– much nicer facilities, great service, and less than half the price.)
My haircut was okay. But spending more than $ 150 (with tip, which in retrospect was too generous) to be ignored for 20 minutes and then incredibly uncomfortable for over an hour is definitely not okay!
