Stopped in yesterday for lunch with a party of 14… pleasantly surprised by how fast the food came out. General Tso chicken in the best in the area and the fried dragon roll was delicious. So sad that they are closing for good next week. The EZ Thai that is moving in has big shoes to fill…

The Laughing Buddha is definitely the best place in the county for Chinese Food. The Sushi is very well-made and there is a large selection. I often order the plate of broccoli and eat it as a meal because the flavor is so good! We also LOVE the calamari– and the complementary sauce is to die for. The bartender, Brad, is outgoing, personable and always happy to see our group! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Good Chinese restaurant for the area. They offer Chinese American and sushi. The Chinese food has good taste but typical of any Chinese restaurant. The ambience is a little dark(not much light was turn on I guess) as I went in for early lunch. I would definitely come back if need a good fix for Chinese food.

Waitress made a mistake with my order, owner refused to correct it. They’re overpriced for no reason because the food was mediocre at best. Wouldn’t recommend the place and certainly won’t be returning.

We came here in Feb 2015 and the food was great… the service not so much. We just went again(May 2015) and the service got worse and the food was horrible. There were only 15 people in the whole place, 5 of them being our group. So it couldn’t have been because they were busy. Everyone placed their order then the food started to come out. The hot and sour soup was peppery not spicy. The roasted pork fried rice was super dry… they did take that off the bill. One of us order hunan beef and another hunan chicken. They brought 2 chicken and when something was said, the server looked at what SHE wrote as the order and told us that we were wrong because she had 2 orders of chicken on her pad. She was not willing to take it back. When the bill came, they had removed the pork fried rice but had added the 18% gratuity even though there were 5 of us and the menu says groups of 6. We are from out of town but come out here often. This will be our last visit to this restaurant.

Not thrilled with this place at all but unfortunately it is the only sushi you can get this side of the solomons bridge. Personally if someone is visiting The area i recommend going to asahi or okada in st marys. My son was appalled by the bathrooms shape. Enough so that he took pics(i will post). Keep in mind the waiters and cook staff use the same bathroom. Environment and overall feel needs to be updated. It def does not have a classy or modern feel. Missed opportunity in my opinion. Some people will just not eat in this type of environment– esp when their other options are asahi and okada! Prices are a little higher than the other two restaurants i mentioned above and the quantity and quality are not better or even close!

The owner is nice to let me charge my phone at the front desk~ ordered Singapore noodles, the shrimp and egg inside were really good, but the dry meat(have no idea what are they) tasted a little weird, a little bit like«Chā Shāo»

I went with a large group on new years eve. They were busy but we were seated fairly quickly. I got the tempura green beans as my appetizer. They were pretty flavorless, just slightly salty, but the beans were still on the crisp side, which was nice. The duck sauce they came with made them tastier. My husband got the house egg rolls. They were very crispy and«different» with noodles on the inside. He liked them overall. I had the vegetable lo mein. It was a large portion. There were a decent amount of veggies, but they were a bit overcooked. The sauce was tasty and a little sweet instead of just salty. Nice change of pace. My husband had pork and green beans. The beans were well cooked and the dish had a nice sweet gravy. He ordered it with fried rice which was not really fried rice-it just had soy sauce and oil(?) on it. Yummy but odd. Bathrooms are very clean! Service was great for our large party and she split the checks perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the good experience.

Always great food and attentive, friendly service. Features a large and bright dining area with a new sushi bar off to the side. Moo Shu dishes are good, as is the Singapore Noodle and the Malaysian chow fun. Soups, even the small size, are served in HUGE bowls. The wine is very good and the serving sizes are always generous. Take out service is efficient.

We order take out pretty regularly. Most of the Chinese food is pretty good and of better quality than other Chinese restaurants in the area. We especially enjoy the wonton soup, pot stickers, lo mein, Kung Pao chicken, General Tsao’s chicken or shrimp, and Mu Shu pork. The egg rolls and spring rolls are too greasy. Some of their Asian bistro items are not so good, like the Pad Thai and Singapore noodles. I don’t understand the compliments on the sushi? We are big sushi eaters and we have eaten sushi all over the country, and the sushi at Laughing Buddha is subpar. It reminds me of sushi you get at the mall. We only get take out because the service can be pretty bad and the place is dreary inside. When you do get take out, go over your food carefully. They sometimes miss something and are extremely stingy on the white rice. And if you ask for anything«extra» like an extra plum sauce or something like that be prepared to pay for it. They’ll give you hot oil for free, just make sure they actually put in with the order. Bottom line is good staple Chinese items(except the egg rolls), inconsistent service, mediocre sushi, and a little pricy, but good quality.

Ordered Calamari for an appetizer, it was just ok. Very salty! Wouldn’t order it again. We ordered about 7 or 8 different sushi rolls. Their spicy tuna roll was very good, had really nice flavor. The spicy girl roll was also very good. The other sushi we ordered was ok, nothing great. Our favorites were the spicy tuna and spicy girl roll. The place was clean, which is pretty important to us. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We will go back again and try their Chinese food.

I’ve been here many times for Chinese food and now for sushi. The food has always been amazing and the service has always been friendly and helpful. The Chinese food is a little more expensive than average, but the quality is completely worth it. Their potstickers are the best I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten a lot of potstickers in my life. They opened a sushi bar a little bit ago and have quickly become my fiancé’s and my favorite sushi place. The fish has been extremely fresh every time we’ve come in and the sushi chef is so sweet. Price-wise, the sushi is on par with other sushi restaurants in the area. The only improvements they could use IMO is with the ambiance. The dining room is rather drab and makes the restaurant seem lower quality than it is. This doesn’t affect the enjoyment but it certainly doesn’t help either.

Everything I’ve ever had here was fantastic! Their new sushi bar is far better than any of the local sushi bars around! They are very reasonably priced and you get the best quality food. The service is always awesome, everyone is very nice, and very friendly, highly recommended!

Food is reasonably priced. I’ve always had good service when I’ve been there. I’ve done carry out and dine in. Have had good experiences both times. Have plenty on the menu to chose from. Have had the pot stickers and chicken lettuce wraps for appetizers. Both were great As crazy as it might sound, they have the best Pad Thai. I also like the Szechuan Chicken and Mongolian Chicken. I always ask them to make it extra spicy and for hot peppers on the side. Great choice for anyone who likes Chinese.

My husband and I have been searching for a good Chinese place in SOMD, and we are so happy we have found Laughing Buddha, and its only 10 mins from home! We are now regulars! The staff is friendly, and the food is great! My fave is the crispy beef, although I know like the lo mein too! My husband enjoys the chicken and cashews, and also the teriyaki chicken! We usually go weekly although Im sad to admit that !

This is definitely our go to for Chinese in Southern Maryland. Try the orange chicken. It’s some of the best I’ve had. We’ve never eaten in the restaurant, but the take-out service has always been fast.

Best Calamari you will ever have! Cheese Puffs(Crab Rangoon) are awesome as well! I have been eating at LB since it first opened and the service has improved greatly! SO much so that I talked my boss into going back and trying it and he was very pleased when he tried it again! Interior could use some updating, which is why I gave it 4 stars, and not 5. bar area is also a great experience, especially when Brad is working it! Love this place!

Not so great for dining in, but their take-out is fast. My friends love this place. I’m not much of a fan, but I’m admittedly picky about Chinese food. This just seems too greasy for my tastes overall — kind of like Chinese fast food — and their dumplings are actually kind of fatty and gristly. Their fried rice and rangoon is pretty good, though.
