This is the worst fast food I’ve ever had. The food was so bad that the kids and I left and went to Taco Bell to get the taste out of our mouth. If I could I wouldn’t even give it a star.

Really great management staff. As a charter captain I call in for large orders of fried chicken to feed my fish and groups. They always have the food ready hot and fresh for me when I come pick everything out

This is the BEST Roy’s in the chain bar none. Growing up in the DC area I remember when Roys were everywhere. Then they slowly all went away. Over the past 3 – 4 years Roys are starting to open up again. You go to Roys for one thing their signature roast beef sandwich. The one at this location is so tender it melts in your mouth. Staff is all very friendly. Grab a sandwich and drive three blocks and enjoy a Beautiful water front view while eating your sandwhich! One of life’s great pleasures while in this nice area.

Tried this place out based on the steller reviews. I wasn’t impressed with anything. Double R Burger was juicy, but had no flavor. Chicken was dry despite being dark meat. Strawberry shortcake was mediocre. Service was typical for a fast food place. It’s decent If you’re looking for something quick to eat nearby, but don’t go out of your way for this place.

As fast food goes, Roy Rogers in Solomons gets it done. They are pleasant, efficient and they give back to their community. To me they know who they are and have a real allegiance to their neighborhood. Hands down the best fast food in Southern Maryland. :)

I rated Roy’s at five stars as it is hands down the best place for fast food. The burgers are tasty, juicy and are not microwaved like they do at BK or taste bland like McD’s. The fresh fixings are great as well and you really can have it ‘your way’. The Hershey’s ice cream is good and you can buy the wooden nickels for 50 cent scoops of ice cream!!! This Roy’s is also a great supporter of the community and has nights for all the local schools.

I’m a huge Roy Rodgers fan! Double R for me! It was clean, and fast.

I believe all Roy Rogers restaurants are now privately owned so in the DC MD VA area there are only a few, not like in the old days. They consistently have good food and I love that they still have the Roy’s Fixin’s Bar where u can get condiments for your burgers. I also like their biscuits and coleslaw!
You won’t be disappointed at Roy’s.

As fast food places go this Roy Rogers stands out for basic burgers and real roast beef sandwiches, and real Hershey’s ice cream and shakes. The staff doesn’t seem to turn over much, a good sign. Great for families, a little more $ than other fast food, but well worth it. Overall one of the best places for decent fast food in the area.

Roy Rogers is the best fast food place ever. We used to have one in LaPlata, but it closed so now we have to drive 72 miles roundtrip to get our fix. (we ride down here several times a month) This place is clean. They hire friendly employees. There’s a tv to catch up on news and sports. It’s near Solomons Island, so there is plenty to do when you’re down that way. They have some outdoor seating.
Food: roast beef is the best. tender, juicy and thinly sliced but piled high on the bun. a 1,0000 times better than Arbys (which is rubbery and tastes fake) sides include baked potato, mashed potatoes, french fries. they have awesome fried chicken. Roy Rogers carries the Hershey brand of ice cream (delish) and as a tasty finish to your meal, nothings better than a strawberry shortcake. a real warm biscuit with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and strawberries over the top.
don’t forget when you leave to grab a 3pack (or 6 pack) of the roast beef sliders for a snack later. Yum!
This is where I had my Mother’s Day lunch — and we had friends who joined us. Perfect weather, great food and better friends. :)

The BEST Roast Beef Sandwiches ever! You can’t beat them for fast food. Yummy ice cream and REAL milkshakes. We usually hit Roys when we visit the Calvert Marine Musuem or Ann Marie Gardens.
