Excellent service and relaxing atmosphere. Aurora did a fantastic job blow drying and straightening my extremely thick, wavy hair, and I left Studio C feeling like a new person! She is very talented and is also a perfectionist. She will take the time to make your hair look the way you want. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job!

Celina is amazing! I have been seeing her for about 14 years and I have never been disappointed. She always listens to my ideas and gives suggestions on how to improve my hair. Right before I started seeing her I had a beyond terrible haircut (I’m talking mullet bad) so I was terrified for anyone to touch my hair but Celina calmed by fears and now I trust her with my hair completely.

When I move to this area I was ready for a brand new start, there was an ad looking for a model for a makeover of which I answered and one. I became 20 years younger in a couple of hours thanks to the magician Celine at Studio C she was wonderful, her team was wonderful and she made me look beautiful she is so sweet and kind and nice and I would recommend her to anyone in the Santa Barbara County she’s just great go get a makeover you deserve it. And she’s just the girl that can make you brand new. I’m not kidding she really is a magician, you would not believe the difference. Thank you Celine for making me look young again.

Celina of Studio C Salon is wonderful. She really knows what she’s doing and is prolific in dealing with many types of hair. Celina is very friendly and her customer’s happiness is her primary concern. She’ll work with you if she doesn’t think what you want will work with your hair rather than doing anything you want that possibly won’t come out right. She regularly attends continuing care seminars so she stays on top of current hair care techniques as well current hair trends. She really knows what she’s doing with color.
Celina did the hair for the bridal party of a wedding I was in last year, and all the girls hair looked great and we were all thrilled. I got so many compliments on my hairstyle at the wedding.
Celina’s salon is clean and tidy, and she gives absolutely the best shampoo I’ve ever had. She’s been taking care of my hair for years and I couldn’t be happier.

I had one of the worst salon experiences I have ever had at this salon. I was in from out of town for a wedding and a girlfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to a last minute blow out for the wedding, which was that night. I probably should have known better that after trying 3 other salons first (that had come recommended from my hotel) this was the only place that had availability on a Saturday… but I decided to go for it. How can you mess up a blow out, after all.
First impressions speak volumes in my mind and the salon itself is outdated and messy, but I am not even gonna bother going into all that. I’m not looking to live here, I just need a shampoo and blow out. The young girl who was assigned to me was cute as can be and very sweet, but literally didn’t get the shampoo or water to my scalp when shampooing. It was honestly the strangest thing I’ve experienced in quite some time. My friend had the same exact experience with her right after me.
Disappointing shampoo… check. I can get over that, it’s the blow out that matters, right? Let me just set this up by saying that I don’t have a particularly large amount of hair. It’s just past my shoulders, fine and wavy, untreated and not that thick. My blow out took 45 mins… just the drying part! During the blowout I am turned away from the mirror, so that I can face my friend and chat. The entire time my friend is giving me the «this is bad» look. When I finally get whisked around, it’s like I’ve been pulled out of the 80s with hair like the main character in the movie Can’t Buy Me Love. The sweet girl assures me that she’ll smooth it out with the flat iron (which they charge extra for… on top of an already overpriced blowout… NEVER seen that before and I’ve been to just about every blow out bar created on this great earth). We’ve now been there way longer than expected and I know if she’s taken this long with me, she’s gonna take forever with my friend, who has 3 times the amount of hair as me. I very politely suggest that she get started on my friend and that I have no problem finishing out my own hair. I truly don’t mind and now we are on the clock. We have a wedding to get to!
At this point, the woman (who I can only assume is the owner) comes over to rescue the day… or so I thought. She offers to finish me out, which I take her up on and think is very gracious. I assume she has seen that her adorably cute stylist was just not getting the job done… well, nope… that’s not the case. This person begins to pull on my hair and say to me, «well, I guess you can’t make everyone happy». What? I was so confused. I was happy in my little corner finishing my own hair. Was she pissed at me for this? Was this really happening? «This place is crazy… this woman is crazy» is what was running through my mind… just get this done and get out. She then said to me, «you must do this a lot.» I thought she meant that because it was clear that I knew what I wanted… yeah, a smooth blow out that didn’t look like 1985. The reality is, I do know how to blow out my own hair. I like to get blow outs as a treat, but I can do it myself. Then she said to me, «I can tell because your hair is crunchy and damaged.» Now I knew this woman was a) nuts b) a mean girl c) completely immature and d) totally unprofessional. I have brown hair that I let try naturally more than not and very rarely put heat on. Not to mention that I had gotten it cut 3 days earlier! I can say without any hesitation that the last way anyone would describe my hair or has EVER described my hair is «damaged or crunchy». Keep in mind that all of this came from the fact that I suggested finishing off my blow out, so that she could get started on my friend. It could have been so much worse. I could have complained, refused to pay, been all dramatic or demanded some sort of discount. None of which I did.
It all made sense to me in that moment why no one at the hotel had recommended this salon and why the entire place was empty on a Saturday afternoon.
Moral of the story. Stay away.

Celina, the owner of Studio C Salon has been doing my hair for about 10 years, I have followed her wherever she goes. Amazing cuts and color. She manages to keep my hair healthy after how often I change my hair color and style. I highly recommend her hair services.
