Animal Medical Center of Somerset County

Just a quick note to say that Animal Medical Center in Somerset was really fantastic! We were home for a visit over Christmas and one of our boxers had a serious eye ulcer that was being treated in Maryland. We thought we were good to go when we left for Somerset but things changed. My husband had to bring our boxer to the clinic after hours on Christmas Eve and thankfully Dr. Nosko was still there and agreed to see them even after all the staff had left for the holiday. We were so appreciative of his kindness and willingness to help! We recommend this clinic to anyone in the area!

I had been taking my dog there since 2011 when I moved to the area. Unfortunately in 2014 my dog started having some problems with her back. We took her here and they explained she strained her back probably jumping too high and gave us some muscle relaxers until it healed. A few days later we took her in late ar night for an emergency because she was foaming at the mouth. They were nice enough to take her in. They explained that she probably had too much muscle relaxer, even though we were giving them as prescribed, and sent us home. The next day she became unresponsive and we rushed to Pittsburgh for more treatment. They quickly diagnosed it as meningitis but before they could do anything she had a seizure and passed away.
I still feel that this vet had many chances to catch this and didnt. I would NOT recommend this vet.
