We were in the 10 or so wine club members and still love their wine! Dave and Kim are great people, too, who we consider friends and always look forward to seeing!

My girlfriend and I had such a great time at DK cellars! Kim and Dan are incredibly welcoming and the wines were delicious. I thought the bordeaux blend, especially, was terrific. The aroma itself brought me back home(I’m originally from France). Dan is a walking wine encyclopedia. His passion for handcrafting wine is obvious and infectious. The winery is very cute and has one of the nicest view in the area.

My husband and I came here on Good Friday and were thoroughly impressed. There were so many wines to taste and we enjoyed them all. We left with a bottle of Rattler Red a delightful blend, and a bottle of Meritage. The owner/hostess was gracious and friendly. I would definitely recommend a stop at DK Cellars you won’t regret it.

These folks do a great job with the wine and I would consider them a «must stop» if you are in the area tasting. Yes, it’s a bit of a drive… but really not that much and the scenery makes up for it 10x over. It’s a smaller tasting room, but there’s plenty of room outside to hang or enjoy a picnic. The staff is super nice and super helpful too. When we’re in the area we always stop by… and we always have several bottles in hand when we leave.

My wife and I came to DK Cellars this weekend on a holiday road trip. We toured most of the wineries at FairPlay and DK was our favorite by far. Favorites were the Short Bus, and Rattler.

Allison & I discovered DK Cellars on our way to Oakstone one day and were hooked from the beginning. DK is one of two wineries in the sierra foothills that have Semillon wine and it is just amazing. This was our first stop that day so we went down the list and tried the wines they were pouring. All the wines are wonderful and we could not find one wine we didn’t like, before we knew it we were talking up a storm with Kim & Dave(the owners, growers & winemakers). It was like meeting distant family members, they were very welcoming and glad to take the time out of their busy day to entertain us. Before we knew it two hours had passed and it was already after closing time. Dave & Kim made us feel like part of their family and wanting to come back and visit with them again. DK Cellars’ tasting room is very cozy with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and vineyards. Visit their website for wines and club memberships. @dkcellars.com I am in love with the 2005 Cabernet!

DIsclaimer: I no longer imbibe. One of the things I miss most are the DK reds. My wife testifies that the new ones are even better, and tempt me to fall from my wagon. But why I’m writing this review is that Dave(The«D» in DK) Pratt sits on the county Planning Commission, and has to review all sorts of thorny land-use issues. I am a local reporter, who must sit through those meetings. I have never said two words to this guy, but he is amazingly knowledgable and well prepared in those meetings… a serious public servant. If he spends half the time on his vineyard that he does researching these projects… well, just check it out. DK is located at the heart of some spectacular backroads, especially if you are a motorcycle person. Make a loop from Highway 50 side to Plymouth and finish with dinner at Taste, which is our favorite restaurant, and reviewed extensivly on Unilocal

I really enjoy this small winery. The owners are very nice and they do an excellent job with their wines. My favorites are the Rattler Red and the 2005 Cabernet — Shiraz. I really like everything I’ve tried here but those stand out as my favorites. One of my friends loves their 2004 Petite Sirah. There isn’t anything here that I didn’t finish.
