Excellent service and excellent wine. By the owners recommendation we took home the white port to have with our crème brûlée and it paired fantastically. I love supporting businesses that are passionate about what they do and this couple is exactly that. They do everything themselves and to me that makes the wine and the experience that much better. Fleur de lys is on my list now for picking up wines to go with my meals and for showing visitors. Thank you for taking the time to talk and show us all that you had to offer!

Fantastic boutique winery. Voignier wine is one of the best I’ve ever had. Fantastic Zin’s and Barbera too. They usually have food pairings. Very classy for such a small place. Mireille is a fantastic hostess. Love this place…

Having been to most of the wineries in Fairplay and the surrounding area, I can say Fleur de Lys is definitely one of my favorites. It’s a little farther back on the road, but well worth it! Last time I was there we tried 11 wines, most of them red. Every time I have gone they have generously paired the wine with delicious, carefully thought out food. I also like that few of their wines are blends. The prices range from about $ 19– $ 25 per bottle. There are some friendly goats nearby that you can say hello to as well. :)

We are long time fans and club members of Fleur De Lys. This is one of, in my opinion, one of the finest boutique wineries in the Fairplay area.
They are known by all the other wineries that we go to as «being one of the best» in terms of product. You will not taste or be sold any type of wine before it should be sold.
They care about their product and also refuse to sell to restaurants or stores of any kind. You must go to them to get their wine or they will also ship to you.
I have never tasted a better Voignier than the one they produce. This is one of the first white wines I enjoy. I am definitely a reds type of person. They almost always offer food pairings even on days without events.
I doubt I will ever drop this wine club. It is always worth the drive and besides, you can’t beat the scenery. Start with them and work your way down Highway 49 through Amador makes for a perfect day meandering through the foothills.

Awesome boutique winery. Wonderful wine and awesome food pairings to boot. My husband really, really loves the Viognier. I myself enjoy their Cab and Fleurette (red blend). This is a very small, family business. The owners and the sweet lady that pours wine are all very kind and knowledgeable. We have been wine club members for quite a while and always end up walking out with not only our club shipment, but another case as well.
Bottom line, when you are in the Fairplay area, make it a point to stop by Fleur De Lys and check out a flight!

This winery was listed on the Fair Play Wine Festival Touring list, it was Suppose to be #2 on our tour but we were turned away! As we pulled into the parking lot, a woman ran out and told us their were already full and we needed to turn back around. All a bit stunned, we send out our most educated and respectful of the group as our spokesperson (newly recent PhD grad may I add!), who proceeded to attempt negotiate with the woman. Our spokesperson advised we are group of only 9 woman and 1 male, and we were more then willing to wait until the others finished their tasting experience. With her hand on the winery door, the woman kindly said No and shut the door.
Now, normally I would not review a business if I had not experienced it but in this case I experienced the worst customer service and dismissal I have ever dealt with. To be turned away during business hours and during a wine festival?
So for that Chalet Fleur De Lys, we will never attempt to grace your presence again and honestly it is your lost.

I love this place! Their Voigner is to die for! Different from any other Viogner I’ve ever tried. The food pairing is a nice gesture and the owners are so sweet.

This is one fine winery in the Fair Play appellation. The owners/​wine maker not only make great wine, but they really care about members of their wine club. When members started canceling because of the economy, they said ‘let’s put it on hold and resume when you are ready.’ How many places do that? Typically, if you aren’t paying for shipments, you’re out. Besides, they do make some tasty wine for good prices.
