Stopped by Somerset for a night while I was driving back to MA from CA. Didn’t expect much because of the price(about 55 $ night). However I was pleasantly surprised. There is plenty of parking and the girl working there was very friendly and my check in process was fast and easy. The lobby desk area looked neat and new. The keys that they use are pretty old fashioned but I thought it was cool. My room was pretty large and I had a king size bed near the back door on the first floor which is convenient because I bring my dog with me. My room was very clean and quaint. There is a decent sized flat screen tv with Dish TV so I had every channel you could imagine. My bed was very comfy and the bathroom was extremely clean and tidy which i look forward to when I get a hotel room. They had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board which usually isn’t offered at similar hotels at this price. They also had a full breakfast until 10 o’clock. They have waffle maker to make waffles, donuts, bagels, juice and cereal. They also had some fruit but like most places it is pretty carb heavy. I was very surprised how much I liked it here and it is definitely worth the price and staff is super friendly.

EconoLodge, the name sort of tells the story. It’s a clean, safe, relatively cheap(about $ 60/night for a single person) motel in the smallish town of Somerset, PA. A couple of good things, it’s got inside doors, more like a hotel than a motel and a decent breakfast. Parking is somewhat limited, especially if the motel is fully booked. It does offer free wifi, the norm for every inexpensive motel these days(except Motel 6), but the wifi has no password protection, so don’t plan on checking your bank account balance or doing any online shopping while you stay here. This is the first motel I have run across that does Not have password protected wifi, really a must have in this day of identity theft. Econolodge is one of those motels that is in the«motel area» of town, so there are lots of other choices within eyeshot if this one doesn’t ring your bell. It’s also close to lots of eating choices, nothing much better than fast food tho. Overall, a cheapish, clean and comfy room with a basic breakfast to get you going in the morning. A good over-nighter on the way to somewhere else.

We were just passing through on our way to Washington, D.C. And needed a place to stay. The motel is set back from the turnpike exit but was easy to get to. The room was cheap $ 64 for the night. The room was a room nothing out of the ordinary. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. At night the parking was lit up.

On a road trip from Kansas City to Delaware we stayed at rode inn, super 8, days Inn and finally here. Of all of’em this was the best. Very well maintained place, a good breakfast and ample parking. Definitely stay here of in the vicinity.

Good hotel for the price-about $ 70. Nothing fancy, but just fine for an overnight. Plenty of places to eat in the area too. Basic free breakfast – waffles, cereal & pastries.

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars, is that the front desk girl was very nice! We made reservations online and when we got to our room there was a huge bug on the wall and a blood spot on the bed… So yah, we had to fight a bit but we got refunded… Thanks!

Very clean– nice staff. Some nights trucks idled on the road across from the rooms, so it wasn’t «quiet» but it was not disruptive. Will definitely stay here again. Can’t beat it for the price.

Wanted a stop over in Somerset and found the Econo Lodge a good bargain! Very clean, smelled fresh even walking into lobby, friendly staff, good shower pressure, nice flat screen tv, clean and comfortable bed. The price was right! With the money saved by not staying at Comfort Inn or Hampton we had a nice dinner for two with drinks at Ruby Tuesday. If you don’t need«fancy» this is a great stopover!

Good experience for a budget motel. Refurbished, good service, clean. Pet friendly and I’m not, but I got a room that smelled okay.
