Fabulous wine, great host Ruggero Mastroserio, beautiful setting… don’t miss it! And Bella, the ball-​fetching wine dog. What an afternoon!

We had a great time at this small tasting room. The owner was playing the sax when we walked in and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Loved the Teroldego and the old vine Zin.

The vineyard sits on top of a hill, and the casa is nestled right beside a couple of large trees. The host waves us into his small, but cozy vigneto.
This winery is alive with the passion and commitment to true Italian wine varietals.
Ruggero is the host, wine maker, and talented saxophone musician.
This winery offers quality Italian wines that are labored over by a dedicated craftsmen. You will appreciate his efforts in each of the wines that is made.
The Sangiovese is bright, bodied, fruity, and finishes dry. The Barabera is rustic with hints of earth, cherry, and slightly tangy. Teroldego is a sleek and semi spicy wine that is definitely one to try.
The amazing food, live music, and outstanding service from his tireless staff helped make our Passport Wine Weekend an awesome experience.

This is my new favorite winery! My boyfriend and I frequently wine-​taste in Napa, Placerville, Lodi, Amador, Fairplay, and Livermore, and there’s no better winery than Mastroserio! Absolutely AMAZING wine, property, and overall experience. Ruggero and Cindy showed us an amazing time and were the perfect hosts. Can’t wait until we can come back and visit again. :)

What a pleasant surprise. The owners were wonderful, warm, and friendly. The wines were excellent. Owner Ruggero entertained us with the history of his wines, how he came to live in the United States and played jazz music on his saxophone.
Newly opened, but are planning on some jazz concerts in the summer months. If you’re in the Fairplay/​Somerset area I would give this a try.
