La Dolce Vita! Worth the drive to sample these Italian delights. Palissandro has a perfect five stars on Unilocal!I am not surprised. The owner really pulls out all the stops for not only his wine club members, but first time visitors as well. We bring family and friends here all the time. Not only are they friendly people, but they’re hospitable, offering a nice, moderately priced rental apartment inside the tasting room, they’re honest, offering unbiased reviews of other local stops when asked, and they’re kid and dog friendly. You’ll often see their own dogs cruising the grounds or popping up to greet you as you enter the tasting room. Don’t like dogs? First of all, what kind of person are you? Don’t worry. These are well trained. They do not jump or make much noise at all. The wines are all Italian here. The Barbera and Sangiovese are two of my favorites. The Felice Super Tuscan is an earthy, figgy delight and don’t get me started on the Moscato. It’s probably one of my favorite Moscatos of all time. Castello Del Poggio who? For non-wine drinkers, there’s Stella on tap. Also offered are yummy treats such as melted cheese baguettes, biscotti, and spreads for crackers.

Great winery and great wines! I especially liked how dog friendly they are, they saw our dogs as we were getting out of our car and said they were welcome to come join us. They even had a dog water dish and a couple of little doggie ambassadors! More importantly, these are my new favorite red wines! It was so difficult figuring out which bottles to buy, but they did an excellent job helping, by letting me go back and taste wines a second time. Also, very generous taste pours. The owner and the gal doing the tastings were very friendly and fun, and they were never pushy about selling the wine. They let the wine sell its self, so they were just there to make the introductions and keep the conversation going. Great place and I definitely plan on returning!

Just go there! What a gem of a place. This winery is a family owned business as they all pitch in to make a great winery destination. Not only great wines to taste but a few goodies to nibble on, made by the mother. Such a pleasant spot. Very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Good selection of wines to try and we had great fun meeting all the family and having great conversation. The have a nice view from the property and cute friendly dogs to welcome you in. Don’t miss this spot.

One must traverse many hills to get to this winery… It’s absolutely well worth it! From the staff to the wine all are a perfect balance! Earthy, nutty and resinous are the staff, so it only gets better as you taste their wine! One might ask, why resinous? As a good cab stays on your palate with that long lingering clinging finish, so does the staff! Now to their wine. The Rosa wine is reminiscent of a Sunday afternoon picnic. I grew up in Healdsburg where our summer days were hot and our afternoons would often bring a coastal breeze through the valley. These were the days mom would picnic our dinner. Our beverage, lemonade. Dad’s beverage, beer! Pretty confident that had mom or dad had a taste of Rosa she would have joined our picnic!!! I picked up a case of the, «Vino de Tabla.» Yes, it’s your every day table wine… If you sit at my table for lunch or dinner, every meal is an experience and so is my wine!!! This is not just a plain table wine. It’s an experience!!! Felice=Happy! This fills your soul, as a big wine should! Absolutely brings lots of happiness! Yes, I picked up several bottles of happiness. and will be going back for more! Sangiovese & Barbera, both represent in a big way!!! BTW: Stella is not on the menu, she was a welcome sight to my husband! He greedily enjoyed her on a late, very warm winters afternoon in our California Foothills! Buen Provecho: Simply enjoy!

Our favorite winery in Fairplay. If you like reds, go here! Their wines are very reasonably priced and taste great. The owners are so friendly and make you feel like family. Beautiful grounds with awesome views. Fun atmosphere and bocce ball court make this a great place to stop and stay awhile in a day of wine tasting.

The wines are good enough that we joined the wine club on our first visit; a rarity for us It is a fantastic family atmosphere where you feel like family. Allow time to bring a lunch and play a game of bocce too. It is great to see Italian varietals done Italian style.
