Ocean State Job Lot

When I moved into a new apartment recently, I got most of the cooking and cleaning supplies I needed to get started from this Ocean State Job Lot. I also bought smaller appliances like my Iron, Toaster, and Tea Kettle all for great prices. They also have shampoos and toothbrushes, rugs and towels, socks and boots, hammers and nails. a little bit of everything.
This is a good place to get pantry items. They have a variety of oils like olive oil and coconut oil; $ 0.99 spices; a lot of different crackers, chips, and cereal; and a great selection of Bob’s Red Mill products. Their Bob’s Red Mill area has things like quinoa, barley, almond meal, and flax seed. I am able to cut down my grocery bill and still get the typically more expensive items I like by buying them here.
The store is big and has a little bit of everything, but the supply is always changing. I used to get a really awesome shampoo at this location that I couldn’t find at any other stores, but eventually they no longer sold it and I couldn’t buy it anymore. I haven’t seen it since. The same happened with a certain bag of chips that I loved.
Tip: If you really like something they have, buy it in bulk.
Although it can be a bummer when they no longer have something you bought there before, the flip-​side is that they are always getting new things and you may find something else you really like.

Will K.‘s review is incorrect. Ocean State Job Lot still exists in Somerset. I think he may be thinking of Building 19 over in Swansea, which closed a couple of years ago. Ocean State Job Lot is alive and well in Somerset in the Stop & Shop Plaza.

Very cheap stuff but good quality as compared to Building 19 where you have to watch what you buy. This place it really doesn’t matter. I love going here when I visit back home. Have fun and get some cheap stuff!!!
