Delicious and fresh! There is so much more flavor in the food here when compared with Chipotle, especially the salsa. The only negative I can say is that the staff could be a little more friendly and attentive.

As usual they have the best burritos way better than chipotle. The cheese chicken quesadilla is amazing same with the steak. I’d definitely recommend this place

I had the chicken burrito and a taco. The taco was better than the burrito. They tasted kind of boring to me despite their popularity and press covers…

Update! As of May 2016, I came back to alma mater just to enjoy what I considered the best burrito in the US. But it seems that Anna’s now uses drier, lower quality tortillas –almost like a wrap– and that it no longer gets steamed into a gooey, soft, sticky outer layer of yum. For that, big disappointment. Bring back the old tortilla! Or old steamer. Fillings are still good.

A great local alternative to Chipotle! A burrito from Anna’s is a great option for a study-break snack, a quick lunch, or a meal shared with a friend! I went to Anna’s with a group of people to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we had so much fun chatting over the delicious food and munching on chips.

I was hungry and wanted something quick to eat and thought I would give Anna’s a try as I had not been to one in years. This place is pretty disappointing. Service is slow and they are also pretty short with you. I ordered a chicken burrito and the quality was underwhelming. Chicken was dry and the guacamole which cost extra was no more than a bite. Next time I want a burrito I will stick with El Pelon or Los Amigos who’s quality I trust.

Carnitas in a super burrito with cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, rice, black beans, and extra pico de gallo. That’s what I get every time and every time it has never disappointed me. I’m a regular here and the price is solid for what you get.

Fifteen minutes in line, the front station shuts down. They tell the line to shift to the back station but offer no direction. The line becomes a goat cluster. I leave without a quesadilla, but not without a Unilocal.Worst service ever. Not happy.

I used to like Anna’s. Yes, the staff always gave off an «I don’t care, don’t bother me» attitude, but because the food tasted good, I never felt a need to complain. This is for you late night snackers. If you want a quesadilla after 9:00pm, it’s not happening. All I wanted was a steak quesadilla. Steak, cheese and a tortilla… maybe some rice. After standing in line for what seemed like forever, because the staff were too busy avoiding my eye contact, I finally was asked what I wanted. «Steak quesadilla with cheese please». So the server asked me, big or small(pointing to the tortilla sizes). I chose big. 2 seconds later, one of his coworkers tells him«no quesadillas» and that was it. Why?! There were 2 full trays of steak, a heaping portion of cheese, and as my first server aptly pointed out…2 sizes of tortilla”. So I asked«Why?». All I got was«No Quesadilla means no quesadilla» and then turned away from me to avoid my eye contact once more. Rude. Couldn’t even give me a reason? «Our cheese is moldy». «You look too fat for a quesadilla». «The grill broke». Anything would be better than their rude, unhelpful behavior. Maybe I’ll come back again after 9:00pm for a quesadilla to find out the real reason behind it.

I had a quick burrito last week end. The staff is rude and you feel like you bother them in asking questions. The grilled chicken was not fresh and the guacamole is tasteless…

10 years ago, as a Boston College student, this review probably would have had a different ring to it. Fast forward those 10 years and I am writing this as one unhappy pregnant lady who was simply trying to satisfy a burrito craving after stroller shopping. NB: I spent the majority of those 10 years living in California, where they know a thing or two about Mexican food. This was, hands down, the worst burrito I have ever had. Served up in the worst way I have ever seen. I ordered a regular burrito with grilled veggies. After the rude encounter with the burrito steamer, I watched as the burrito filler used the same tongs to move back and forward between all of the filling buckets. Beef to chicken to veggies. There are laws against stuff like that. For the person in front of me, he plopped down a hunk of steak on his board, hacked at it, filled her burrito… and then immediately proceeded to make my burrito in a pile of meat juice. Excuse me, he did make a half hearted attempt to wipe it off with a dirty rag that he pulled from his pocket. I was trying my hardest not to make a stink about it, both as a vegetarian and a person with a healthy respect for food safety. Then those veggies he hacked away at? Raw carrots and string beans. WHOPUTSRAWCARROTSANDSTRINGBEANSIN A BURRITO??? I am a vegetable lover, a vegetable aficionado, a vegetable crusader, if you will. But, COMEON. Stifling back tears, I sulk over to a table in the corner with my husband fully prepared to do damage control. It tasted even worse than I thought it would. The entire thing was cold. Like, cold to the point I am almost impressed how cold they got it. Not a grain of salt. Maybe 2 beans in the whole burrito. ANDRAWVEGETABLES. Also it was TINY. And I am at that stage of pregnancy where 2 bites of food can fill me up, as this child has taken over most of my abdomen. And I was still hungry after this burrito. Hungry and with an awful taste in my mouth. The good news is the whole dinner only set us back $ 14. So now I can afford to go satisfy my burrito craving elsewhere. What I can’t get back though are the 3 hours I spent after dinner kvetching about this experience.

This is one of the few places in Boston I will go to for Mexican food. I usually eat my burritos too fast since they are so heavenly. It is a takeout style restaurant so it’s a good place to stop by if you are short on time. Given recent events at Chipotle, I can also say in all the years I’ve been going here I’ve never gotten sick.

Fair warning — I like Anna’s therefore I am biased. That being said, I think they do a good job in this crowded field of fresh made burritos. After straying to another store because their locations are just not close enough to me, I came back home. The quality is just better — case closed. The chicken tastes better, the veggies taste fresher — hell even the sour cream is yummier. Give me a super chicken ever time and I will be a happy camper — even their chips are supper good. This location is bigger than most and I like it — parking is the only thing that can be a pain but when I am in this square I generally have a parking space so it is all good.

Apparently if you do not specify you want vegetarian rice after ordering a vegetarian burrito you screwed up as a customer. This location is also stingy with the vegetables. All locations believe it is acceptable to mix sour cream in the guacamole to make it cheaper.

I wrote a poem about Anna’s: Tasty, tasty, nom, nom. Nummy in my tummy. Nom, nom. Anna, I love you. Nom, nom. Siempre. Nom.

Very rude and unhelpful staff. I asked what the difference between the the regular and super burritos were and the guy said size… No crap. Show me the difference please. The portions for the price are not comparable to chipotle, moes, or Qdoba. Which I understand, those being chains. But Anna’s literally brings nothing else to the table. They charge for sour cream and hardly give you a spoonful. Also not a fan of the slice of cheese instead of shredded. Next time I’ll walk to chipotle up the road.

I took a risk and went to Anna’s again. Someone told me that I must have gone on an off day. And boy was I glad I took that risk. Living so close to Anna’s, I felt robbed that it wasn’t amazing the first time I ate it. Now I feel like I finally have a neighborhood burrito joint. The trick is to have them grill your burrito after they wrap it. Otherwise you’re gonna get a raw tortilla. I am not really in the mood to dissect the entire burrito, but I’ll give it a solid 4⁄5. That’s a big jump up from 1/5, I know, but they won me over. If you’ve had a bad experience here, my advice is to give it another shot.

Tortilla got stuck to the roof of my mouth and I wish they had brown rice, but the pico de gallo in my regular Chicken Burrito($ 6.37) was awesomely fresh, as were the veggies! Definitely better than Chipotle, but El Pelon’s spicy pico has it beat…

I went here with a friend, expecting something a little more than what we got. I ordered a quesadilla with chicken and some salsa. It was more wrapped like a burrito. but it wasn’t bad. My friend got a bowl of veggies, beans, rice, and guacamole. She said it was okay. We both decided we should have just gone to the chipotle down the block. Anna’s wasn’t special.

My last review was 5 stars… In my whole life, I don’t know if I’ve ever been this disappointed… The burritos inputs are just as good, as they’ve been for the longest time… Including the carnitas and the chicken. However, I’ve noticed that they’re not very careful when they wipe down the Burrito making station, that they use a heavy Pine-Sol. I look forward to Anna’s every time I’m in Boston from New York, because it reminds me of College… when I was poor and Annas gave me all the energy I needed for a single day. It’s one of my favorite things. But the last time I was there I was sooo disappointed and this was a big problem for me… My burritos taste like Pine-Sol. That’s unacceptable… especially when you steam a tortilla and lay it down on the making station. I had to go back and return it and carefully watch if they wiped down the cutting board before putting a recently steamed tortilla on it… that seemed so stupid to me… of course the tortilla would taste like whatever is on the rag. Really disappointed.
