Came for ice cream. Menus were filthy. Floors were filthy. Waited around for someone to show up and seat us — guy with a latex glove on comes out from the back and takes us to our seat. Ate(it’s ice cream — which I think is always good) and check said to pay server. Server was MIA so I took it up to counter to pay. Waiter was in the back shootin’ the **** with coworkers/friends — seated at a table in the back. I had a bad impression of this place from a prior visit(just generally dirty). This sealed it. Never again. Advice: staff properly, rip up the carpets, and keep the place tidy.

Not a huge fan of friendly’s to begin with, but my kids wanted it for their first day of school dinner. Service is slow here and the food is worse than most friendly locations. This is the first time I’ve been to this one and I won’t be back.

I decided to go to friendlys with my girlfriend since she’s never been there and was not a good first experience after someone decided to seat us at a table we sat for 15 minutes and still no one came to our table to waiter us but went to the tables in front and in back of us paying no attention to us. Then we decided to find someone or we were going to leave. Gave my girlfriend the wrong drink and a lot of ice in my cup when I said no ice. Then gave me the wrong food so I had to wait longer til they got me what I ordered. The fries on my girlfriends and I plate were still cold and had the frozen taste like if they were still in the freezer so we came to have some Ice cream too but just decided not to unfortunately so will most likely not come back at this location to do so.

I’m a big fan of friendlys there food is a bit fatty but only 1 thing I don’t like if you have a kid tell them not to put there head back because there is a big plank of wood and every kid hits there head on the back of it

You want cheap, edible food and crappy service to go along with it then this is the place for you. I must give them credit, they certainly try hard for what they are dealt.

Was here on a Sunday morning, not too many people were here. The service was better than before and the restrooms were clean! Ordered the Bananas Foster Pancakes which was a nice surprise. Only complaint, it should come with a side of ham, bacon, taylor ham or sausage. Ice tea was on the weak side but good coffee. My wife had the Lumberjack Breakfast with French Toast. The French Toast could have been better, very mushy. We’ve been coming here occasionally and it seems they are trying to improve. My BIGGESTGRIPE? NOLACTOSEFREEICECREAM! Other restaurants have started with Lactose Free but I guess Friendly’s doesn’t get the hint.

It’s Friendlys. It’s the number one spot to be. And it has ice cream. If it serves beer it would the best place in Bridgewater.

Not impressive, the staff is very slow, not attentive to customers, and very poor attitude. I understand high schoolers work there, but if you want your job, at least make an attempt at it. Ice cream is overrated.

2 stars, and only because the ice cream is still good, and the poor high school students working here actually tried very hard to provide decent service. Other than that, this Friendly’s is pretty lame. The food leaves little to be desired and the restaurant itself is worn down like a relic of the 80s. I’m not sure it would be better at any of their other locations as Friendly’s itself seems to have fallen off from the days when I was a kid and we’d wait in line for a seat for what seemed like forever. It’s a shame, too, because the Friendly’s concept should not be that difficult to pull off, and I think people would come in droves to an old-fashioned ice cream parlor if a quality one existed.

usually a good spot but service was abyssmally slow today my kid’s apples were brown, and they ran out of chocolate ice cream in the middle of dinner rush… We’ve been here with the family many times– and usually the staff is pretty good. The food quality is what it is– this is not a five star dining experience here– but this time everything was just a little off, from the awkward wait when we first walked in, to how we were seated then didn’t see a waitress for at least 15 minutes… the whole thing where the waitress informwed us they were out of chocolate ice cream 10 minutes after we ordered dessert, then chocolatge ice cream showed up at the table was just very strange– that was something that could have easily resulted in a full-on kicking and screaming meltdown(luckily it didn’t and the kids were on good behavior).

Unless you are evil, what is there not to love about Friendly’s? I have been going to Friendly’s for as long as I can remember and I have always enjoyed it. When I think of America, I think of The White House, Mount Rushmore, The Statue of Liberty, and of course Friendly’s. Friendly’s is a fine American institution. Food at Friendly’s is great. They have a wonderful selection of foods so that you will never get tired of the same meal. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads– whatever you desire. The buffalo chicken they have leaves much to be desired, so I don’t recommend that item, but their regular chicken tenders are stupendous. The roasted turkey is very homey. Their fish and chips are good for a chain, but could never beat F&C from Kearny or Scotland. Moreover they serve breakfast which is always good as well. All the food is extremely reasonable in price as well! However, what is Friendly’s without ice cream? Going to Friendly’s and not ordering ice cream when you are done is like going to the movie theatre and not watching a movie or going to a Yankees game just for a beer. Just defies explanation. The Fribbles are world famous and quite possibly the best tasting milk shakes I have ever had on this earth. Possibly in the entire galaxy. Andromeda apparently has some tasty shakes, so I can’t rule out the entire universe though. There are also a large quantity of sundaes you can get. My favorite sundae ever is located at Friendly’s– the Reese’s Pieces Sundae– vanilla ice cream, peanut butter, chocolate fudge, and of course Reese’s Pieces. It is a heavenly treat. Friendly’s makes their own ice cream that is of premium quality, so you are not just getting some random ice cream in your ice cream! Their other sundaes are also world class. You don’t have to go to Friendly’s just for a meal– they have a take out for ice cream and also have some unwaited tables that are used if you just want ice cream(you can get ice cream waited of course). Even if you don’t want a meal, just come here for ice cream– I would come here over Dairy Queen any day!

This review is not about the diner food they serve. Which also serves it’s purpose as traditional All American Food very well. FYI — Friendly’s is a chain not accessible to us west-coasters. This is a dessert review… Peanut Butter lovers UNITE! I indulge in the 3 scoop Peanut Butter Cup sundae with vanilla ice cream(sans fudge) and go for ALL peanut butter sauce with more on the side. My husband does the same but with Reese’s Pieces. It’s peanut butter dessert lover heaven. OMG! I hope you enjoy every minute of it.
