2−10−15 As a resident of Somerville, NJ and someone that conducts business locally, I always try to give any business that I may have to the local merchants rather one of the big box chain stores. I feel that it better serves my community and enhances the value of our town when the local business thrives. Recently, I needed the services of a printing company, I approached Minuteman Press of Somerville to gather information. Calling ahead of time to make sure i could meet with the right person, I spoke with a women by the name of Carol who was clear to point out to me that she leaves sharply at 2:00pm. Upon arriving shortly after 1:00, I introduced myself to Carol and explained that I needed her help to guide me through the process(Not having experience with printing myself). Carol seemed perturbed and proceeded to treat me as an intrusion rather than an opportunity. Anytime i asked her a question, her responses were short and curt and I was made to feel that I was inconveniencing her. Rude is a mild description of how she responded to all of my inquiries. My co-worker(who was with me) was astounded as to how rude Carol was and felt very uncomfortable. It is very unfortunate that I had such an unpleasant experience with Minuteman Press, as I always try to use the local merchants versus the large national chain stores, however under these circumstances I am forced to go elsewhere with my business. I initially selected Minuteman Press because they were referred to me, but feel the way i was treated was less than acceptable. Going forward, they will never see any business from me and if asked I will STRONGLYDISSUADE anyone from using this company. To the owner: Your front line people are the face of your business, I hope that my experience was an isolated incident and Carol is not a true reflection of how you care to conduct business or how it is perceived by your potential clients. Best of luck!
