So I heard about this place and I’m recently new to Somerville and have been visiting all different food places. I haven’t eaten many crepes before so I was interested to try this place out. The overall vibe and environment of the place is really cool. It’s also really spacious and organized. The prices aren’t bad either, it’s about $ 6 for a crêpe and you can get it to go and it comes out quickly. I got a s’mores crêpe and it was honestly the greatest thing I have ever put into my mouth. I barely ever write Unilocal reviews, but I had to for this place. It was the tastiest greatest food I’ve ever eaten. The chocolate was sweet and not overbearing, and the perfect amount of marshmallow. I feel distraught that I have had to live my whole life without ever eating here. Greatest place on earth

Threre are plenty of windows, which means that there is plenty of natural lighting & views of Davis Square. Very clean, open, & airy. The service is efficient, and the food is delicious. Fun atmosphere. Good for a date, meeting up with a friend, spending time with family, or alone time with yourself.

I’m on a road trip from Cambridge to Boston and then to Cape Cod. So far all the food has been stellar, from diners, to hot pots, to tacos, to ice cream, to burgers. Boston has so many amazing restaurants! Unfortunately Mr. Crêpe has been the weak note four days in to this trip. I ordered the crêpe with brie, grapes, and apples. The crêpe was cooked wonderfully — thin and buttery. However, there was very little cheese in the crêpe, so I just had apples and grapes flopping around my plate. It was more like a fruit sandwich than the crepes I’m accustomed to. Would not come back my next time catching a movie next door at the theater.

Ever felt like you’ve eaten nothing even after eating a full meal? That’s what eating here is like. I got a lamb crêpe and I was let down in every regard. I like a really soft crêpe so I was disappointed that the texture of the crêpe was more papery than buttery. Still, this is quite common so I decided not to bitch until I tasted the filling. Bad decision. I had every reason to complain like I was having a heavy flow day. The lamb was fresh and the veggies were fresh but they had no flavor whatsoever. Lamb is easy to overcook but a little seasoning goes a long way in helping to overcome that. I downed it but I was far from satisfied. I felt like I had just eaten some dry pillow filling wrapped in paper. This was. .. not good.

Looks like a generic café from the outside but do not be deceived! There is something really special going on here. I really like the avocado vegetarian crêpe. Wonderfully light. For desert, the strawberry crêpe with lemon and sugar is simple and surprisingly fulfilling. Service is efficient and quick. Stop by if you need a quick bite to eat before you see a movie at Somerville theater next door!

Simply awesome! Just happened upon the place this morning — a lazy Friday morning, so to speak. Quality food and service… fine cappuccino, too!

I was disappointed that I wasted a meal in Boston here. This might be convenient and quick for busy Tufts students, but it is not satisfactory for a true foodie or crêpe lover. The salmon super crêpe was very fishy aka not fresh, overcooked aka dry, and the balsamic vinegarette just made everything taste weird aka sour. It got soaked up by the crêpe and then it was just… bad. The crêpe was also pretty thick and doughy. I couldn’t even finish. I was really looking forward to the«homemade corn salsa» inside it too but that was just a bunch of corn and bell peppers slapped together with no extra work really. Toss in some random spinach leaves and you have my crêpe. Definitely not worth $ 10.95! I will give 2 stars for the cauliflower soup I had, but even that was bland compared to others I have tried in the past.

A very well made crêpe. I actually ate a nutella and strawberry crêpe, which might seem plain on the outside. However, the dough is perfectly chewy and has a really good deep flavor to it. The strawberries are also extremely fresh and slightly cooked to release a nice warm sugary sweetness along with its tanginess.

I got the apple crisp with fresh apples instead of apple sauce and really enjoyed it. The coffee is good too. I like the environment– it’s spacious compared to most cafes and the staff is friendly. However, subtracting a star because of the little notices put around the restaurant requesting that customers not begin work on their laptops on busy times such as weekends, holidays, lunch and dinner and that they do not offer wifi on the weekends. This really turns me away from this café because it feels absurdly restrictive. Maybe that’s just me?

Tried the super pesto crêpe and the roasted turkey with cranberry and Brie. Have to say that the super crepes are definitely worth the higher price point and have more flavor. Very happy with the banana honey and almond desert crêpe as well. They have lemon water by the register to have with your meal. I hope management receives a bunch of feedback about the bathroom system and makes a change because it’s disgusting. The bathrooms are locked and you have to get a large key from the front register. I went to use the restroom to wash my hands before eating and the last thing I wanted to do was touch a gross key handled by everyone. I also don’t want the employees handling it before preparing my food!

I’m from France and these are not crepes. Also, not only were those so called«crêpes» expensive, the service was awful.

This is a great place to visit before or after a movie at Somerville Theatre. They serve ice cream, all kinds of espresso drinks, have a large selection of different teas, and of course, crepes! The crepes they serve are fluffy and made perfectly, and can be the starting point for desert or lunch/dinner. For example, I had a Super Avocado Crêpe which had avocados, tomatoes, arugula, cilantro, and Monterey Jack cheese. They serve the tea to you in a large or small pot so you can keep it hot while you eat. I had the Chinese Caravan tea which I would definitely recommend. They have plenty of seating inside, I went on a Saturday night and my girlfriend and I found a place right away. The line is a little awkward and on your first time you may wonder if you’re standing it the right place but it’s Somerville, so just relax and everything will be fine.

Gluten free options! Being one who always walked by this place feeling left out and ignored I was ecstatic to find they did indeed have a crêpe for me. I opted for chicken and veggies with a little hesitation but was happily surprised. The servings were a good size, for me anyways. The food was fresh and the crêpe not overly soggy or mushy plus the service was quick and didn’t blink when I asked this and that. Would return for breakfast or lunch. Even a quick bite before going food shopping which is exactly what I did after going here. It’s nothing fancy on the inside, the décor doesn’t scream stay a while but it’s nice enough to sit with a friend for a quick meal. Grateful more establishments are opening the way for gluten free dining.

The food at Mr. Crêpe is slightly below average(2 stars quality). I gave the third star because the restaurant has a nice, relaxing set up and the employees are very cheerful and friendly. They offer a variety of sweet crepes, savory crepes, pastries, ice cream and coffee creations. I ordered a chicken, spinach & goat/feta cheese crêpe with extra cheese. First of all, they forgot my extra cheese, which was very sad because the crêpe was pretty dry and the chicken was poor quality. Second, the spinach was not cooked in the crêpe. It was dry, fresh spinach leaves, which I thought was odd to include in a savory crêpe. The consistency did not go well with the rest of the crêpe. Finally, there was an egg shell in my crêpe. I wasn’t too happy about that. My friend ordered a Nutella & Banana crêpe that she seemed to like much better than I liked mine. I made a mental note to go with a sweet crêpe if I ever return. On a positive note, the coffee drinks and ice cream looked good!

Meh. I had the savory super crêpe; the chicken tagine. The nice woman behind the counter asked if I liked spicy — then recommended this … Whatever it is. The crêpe itself is great. Great texture. The filling — not so much. It looks like it might be good but it’s just not. The name should be changed to «super bland». I just wasted 10.65 :( I’ll stick to sweet crepes from now on.

Cute place. Got the Nutella and banana with toasted almonds crêpe. $ 7.20 with tax. I find that affordable. No parking, obviously, unless you snag one in the street or the paid public parking lot down the block. The lot has terribly confusing machines. Mr. Crêpe is super cute and has lots of seating. My one gripe is that the crêpe was a little light on Nutella. Bananas were just the right ripeness though! Might return again with my madre and try a savory/sweet crêpe cuz the smells of other’s crepes was amazing.

This is an all around solid crêpe place. You can tell by the color, taste and texture that the ingredients are incredibly fresh. Hard working chefs make them all right in front of you. The staff is friendly and efficient. It’s my go-to place for quick and healthy food. My only complaint is because they make the crepes in the dining room it’s often too warm to be comfortable. I feel good supporting a local business when I eat here. It’s the kind of place we want more of in Davis Square.

As a side gig I’m a marketing consultant with a talent for creating VideoScribe videos( ). I brilliantly(side-eye) decided to set a project deadline day two days after I moved into my new apartment in Somerville, MA. What I forgot to do was set up my Internet service in time! I came to Mr. Crêpe to trade their WiFi for a coffee and am glad I did. The coffee was good, the scone was a bit stale(I came around 4:30 so that’s my bad), but the environment was great. The place was mixed with diners, families, students doing work, and couples on dates. The staff was really friendly and the WiFi wasn’t bogged done by all the other people on it. I would definitely come to work here again!

The crepes are fine. That’s all you really need to know. Usually plenty of seating. The service is usually fast enough. Mr. Crêpe is essentially a coffee shop that sells crepes. You can stare into the artwork and pretend you’re in Paris, but it’d take quite an imagination. If you’re really hankering for a crêpe, this’ll do the trick, but there’re better ones out there(I just haven’t found one yet, hit me up if you have).

TL; DR: not amazing, but solid crepes and café. Environment: standard coffee shop Food: I had the Nutella banana crêpe with almonds and whipped cream. There was way too much Nutella, and while this is usually a great thing, it drowned out the banana and almond was nowhere to be seen. I asked for whipped cream and they forgot it at first, but then gave me so much that it was frankly overwhelming. Service: n/a, you order and they bring it out to you. Paid ~$ 8 for a crêpe, which was satisfactory.

Popped in to satiate a sweet tooth and ordered the nutella, banana and almond crêpe. Nice portion for sharing and it definitely hit the spot. Highly recommend this little place to anyone who likes crepes!

So the coffee … A lot to be desired. Wasn’t good at all. However the pastries were amazing!!! I mean really top notch. Apple Danish was out of this world. We also had a raspberry muffin. Was picking at the bottom of the bag to get those crumbs. Good little spot but the coffee needs working on. Service was good to!

It’s a shame that I lived in Medford for a year but have only visited Mr. Crêpe on two occasions. Both times I was here during meal times and it wasn’t insanely packed. The restaurant is smacked down the center of Davis Square, the perfect place to grab a bite during the day or after seeing a play/movie at the Somerville Theatre next door. The restaurant is a nice size, very open and with large windows that let in an abundance of sunlight — perfect for soaking up some vitamin D and/or people watching. You walk in, place an order at the counter, get a buzzer and sit yourself down wherever you please. When your food is ready, your buzzer goes off. I thought I would have to go up to the front to pick up my food like in Panera, but as soon as I stood up, a waiter brought my food to me at the table. It was a confusing system but nevertheless very nice. Service was fast both times I was here. I waited 5 minutes or less for my crêpe. You can get yourself some lemon water from the large pitcher at the door. I had both savory and sweet crepes here. Both were generously stuffed and delicious. I am very much a sweets person, so my favorite goes to the fresh strawberry and Nutella crêpe. The crêpe was thin. The strawberries were thinly sliced and tasted indeed very fresh. The Nutella really hit the spot. Who said you can’t have dessert for dinner?! I savored every single bite of that little delicious piece of heaven. I agree with some other Unilocalers have suggested that the sweet crepes would benefit from some whipped cream or even a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you are feeling adventurous, you also have the option to build your own crêpe! Besides crepes, they also have soups, salads, and a small selection of pastries. My vegetarian friend had the veggie soup here and enjoyed it. There are restrooms in the back of the restaurants but you have to get the keys from up front. My only complaint is the lack of ventilation. The smell coming from the kitchen is quite overpowering and I felt a little suffocated after sitting inside for a couple of hours. The clothes I wore still smelt like oil and grease the next day.

Since it was 9:30am on a Saturday I opted to get a scone instead of a crêpe, because I knew I may be in for a long wait if I ordered something they had to make. My chocolate chip scone was really good– light and fresh tasting with a buttery taste. My coffee was also solid, as usual. It can be hard to get a table here, but I recommend just stalking people until they leave and throwing something on the table if you’re in line. You may have a harder time getting a table in the afternoon because of the laptop campers, but if you go in the morning there’s more turnover.
