Awesome pizza, local beer – who could ask for more? Fun, youthful atmosphere. I used to go to American flatbread in VT so this was a nice surprise because I haven’t found really good pizza since moving to Boston. Recommended!

Saccos is so. much. fun. I came here with a big group of people – we had a reservation, got tons of pizza and salads and beer. Once we were done with dinner we transitioned to bowling and candlepin is definitely tricky, but really fun. We had two adjacent lanes and got competitive. The atmosphere is old school. The pizza is seriously delicious. The beer on tap just makes for a super fun night out. It’s such a great alternative to a fancy dinner or night out at a bar. I love being able to do something and talk to everyone I want to catch up with without being stuck sitting next to one or two people all night. It’s casual and just a really fun activity. No matter how good/bad you are, Sacco’s is a blast.

Before I go on and complain about this place, I should say, I have been to Sacco’s couple of times so far for drinks and flatbreads, and it is a fun place. But not for bowling. Even though we had our names written down in the wait list for bowling lanes(and we were the second on the list), and there were multiple free lanes, they didn’t call us to let us know. When I asked them about the lane situation before we finally gave up and decided to leave, they told us to go ahead and take a lane… So we left after waiting for an hour for nothing. I wish they respected our time and told us how they work in advance instead of ignoring us.

Sacco’s bowl haven is the best! Not only is it the most laid back and unique atmosphere, but the food and drinks are fabulous as well. The food and drinks are all made from local ingredients which is just something that makes this place even more cool. You must try the jalapeño line aid cocktail and any of their flatbread pizzas. If you plan on bowling get your name in at least three hours before you intend on being there.

Candlepin Bowling is a New England Treasure. Sacco’s Bowl Haven is a step back in time. The bowling is awesome, the flatbread is amazing, and the bar is a perfect location to sip a local brew and watch families have a great time bowling together. I felt like I had stepped back into time to the 1950’s. Great family atmosphere. Sacco’s, you did it right.

I always describe this place as hipster bowling. I didn’t know bowling like this existed, but it was an exciting twist and super fun. I first came here for my birthday, and you definitely have to make a reservation as lanes fill up well in advance. The pizza here is really good(Flatbread Company), and there’s a decent selection of beer on tap at the bar. One thing I didn’t like though is that they don’t have pitchers, so you have to bring individual drinks back to the lanes. Regardless, it’s a cool spot and definitely worth checking out!

Awesome team building experience! We showed up in the snow(really, there was snow?) and they were magnificent. The pizzas were amazing(opt out of the red sauce and go with garlic and olive oil, much better option). I was not a fan of the Nacho Pizza but then again, not a huge fan of Frittos on anything! The bowling is a hoot! We had so much fun! The staff was super friendly and couldn’t have been more accommodating! I hope to go back but not until the bloody snow melts in Boston!

Really interesting place to go bowling! They have traditional candlestick bowling which is something I’ve never tried before. They also have a cool flatbread restaurant nearby so you can order food as you bowl. We had a blast and the staff is pretty lenient on timing and pricing as long as it isn’t too crowded. Otherwise, it can be a little tough to get a spot if you arrive and there is a waiting list. An experience you should definitely try!

Talk about a place that caters to families. Candlepin bowling with those small balls and old school bumpers. the lanes don’t appear to be greased, so the kiddos who walk along the alley won’t get slick. Order your pizza and drinks while you bowl! It’s just … not a great place to expect to bowl at if you’re showing up randomly… there is ALWAYS a wait and to reserve a lane is possibly impossible? Its saving grace — for those of us who like to live dangerously and wait out the wait — is the attached Flatbreads pizza restaurant and bar. It’s super ideal for waiters. But back to the kiddos. The wood-fired oven has a viewing bench for the little ones. Front row seats to sizzling dough and the guy who throws the pizza in the air. Love. Also, if you ask the waitress, she’ll give you a small piece of dough for those imaginative tikes to form up themselves. And what’s cuter than watching a 3-year-old put imaginary toppings on her own piece of dough? Anywho, if you aren’t a child or don’t have one of your own … did I mention the bar? Also, after about 3PM is when the family overload starts to die down and when your name on the waitlist might be getting closer to the top(if you put it in around noon).

The bowling is $ 25 an hour for a lane, $ 2 for shoes. Hello, pricey much? But it’s a cool experience to candle pin bowl in an old fashioned place where you have to push a button to reset the pins. Be warned if you’re a newbie — it’s difficult! At least for me. The scoring is kind of confusing, too, but once you get it down, it’s a lot of fun. The games can go by pretty quickly, so if you have to wait for a lane, just have a drink and it’ll be your turn soon enough. Get dinner afterward at the joint restaurant, Flatbread, and you have yourself a nice night out!
