Illusions Lighting Design

We used Illusions Lighting for our wedding back in August and they were absolutely great! The space we were using was totally raw – a vineyard with no power of any sorts. Larry brought everything in and turned the space into a fairytale. We met with other lighting designers and had requests that people told us were impossible, but Larry had no problem. He hung chandeliers in towering pine trees, artfully lit the inside and outside of a stone ruin and had the most amazing, giant edison-​bulb chandelier that hung over our dance floor. He also provided power for this entire space including enough for 2 full band setups and a full kitchen. He also gave us power for our ceremony site which was a short drive away, and again, a totally raw hilltop with nothing there. Larry was also an absolute pleasure to work with – he was patient with us as we asked many questions and perfected many details. If you are looking for a lighting designer in the SF Bay area, we couldn’t recommend Larry more highly – he’s the best!

I hired Larry for my October wedding in Kenwood this past October. His work was beautiful and he really came through for me. I really had no idea what I wanted when I first spoke to Larry. After talking to him and describing «the feel» I was looking for, Larry just took over. He knew exactly what would look good and created that special ambiance I was looking for.
