Large Leather

After having dinner down the street my husband and I decided to walk around somoma square. The western wheel bench was the first thing that caught my eye, and then it was baby cow hide hanging in the doorway. Curious to see what else they had we walked in and were greeted by Jessica. She showed us more of the baby cow hides she had behind the counter, but I wanted something bigger. I then see the large hair-​on hides hanging on the wall. I was so excited to look and feel them all. They were just BEAUTIFUL. Each hide was different. Some were natural and a few were bleached (all white) and printed (zebra) hides. I was debating on getting a black and white spotted one or a brown one with white ends. I mentioned I wanted more spots on the hide, so Jessica went to the back and brought one out that was exactly what I was looking for. She shared with us some helpful tips on how to clean, store, and preserve the hide.
They also had cute accessories for sale– REALLY cute leather bracelets.

The best! one of my favorite stores in Sonoma… I only wear their belts and have a few of their pouches… and some coasters… etc. Very sweet lady and great customer service. i bought a belt there and wanted to get another so I showed her my current one… it had a tarnished buckle that she replaced for free on the spot…

This is a cute, quaint little store. High quality leather, made with a lot of love and attention by good, local people who have been making leather goods for many years. These craftsmen — who actually own the store — really know what they’re doing.
I had difficult time deciding what to purchase, but I finally settled for a small cross-​body purse. There was also a leather belt that I was eyeing, as well as several other leather goods (wallets, checkbook covers, purses, backpacks…).
What I love about their items is that they’re simple and understated, because the quality of the leather can truly shine on its own.
Jessica, the owner, is so nice. If you’re looking for something for yourself or a gift for family or friends, check this place out! I will most certainly be back.

Because the items are hand made right here with top quality leather & hardware, prices are not cheap. But are lower than what you’d pay for a Dooney & Bourke, Kate Spade, Louis Vitton, Chanel at your regional Norstroms or Macy’s…
