This place sucks. Terrible service. The owner is an absolute idiot. Will never ever go to this place again.
We were there for Sunday football and they simply couldn’t handle it. And it wasn’t a crowded place. If you’re not a local… DO NOT go to this place. You’ll be treated like you don’t belong there.

One of the better bars in Sonoma! Late night scene can get a little out of control, but entertaining to sit back and watch. Food is a little better than average, but for the low prices you cannot complain.

We’re from out of town so we drove around in circles until we found somewhere that had a lot of people. Steiner’s was the only place that was opened and looked happening.
I do see some negative reviews about this place, but we had a great time. Every single person in this bar from the staff to patrons were friendly. There’s a pool table near the back and a tiny dance floor in the front. We didn’t get to try any of the food since the kitchen was already closed, but the drinks were decent. I’d definitely party here again if I’m in the area.

Despite the negative reviews about the unfriendly locals, I took a chance because I really wanted a beer and I love a good old-​fashioned pub. I felt very welcome and really enjoyed the beer and the crowd. I highly recommend it!

Cool low key bar that we went to watch football on Sumday. Had all the games, but no wait staff to take drink orders, so had to go to the bar everytime, and it was full of people, so not easy to pull off. Better places in Sonoma.

Love love love! I’m not local but I felt like one! Fantastic and friendly Melissa behind the bar. Yep. Locals were here too and they were nice! Take those other reviews for what they are – most likely angry pissed off jerks. Lol. It’s a great place for a cold one and many tvs to watch your favorite team. Man, I love a good bar, and Steiner’s is just that.

Too bad you have to even give stars. All their fried food is frozen straight out of a plastic bag, the dressings are store bought squeeze bottles, my salad tasted like it had sand in it. Worst food i have ever had. If you serve bar food, you should make sure itd at least decent

We will never go back. After spending a good part of the day there watching the U.S. Open, with no one else in the place, they had a shift change and switched all the TV’s right in front of us. The bartender was rude and a real piece of work, power tripping that he was in charge of an empty dive bar with no consideration for the customers. Avoid this place and go to the sports bar across the square for some friendly service.

This is a Great Sports Bar ! There are pool tables, dart boards and good food ! There is such an eclectic crowd your sure to find someone to relate and conversate with at any given time. The weekends have a DJ to dance too ! The bartenders are fast and friendly and the security makes sure everyone is able to enjoy themselves ! Stop in you can see for yourself !!

Make some weird memories in Sonoma and check out this little spot. The bartenders know their stuff, I don’t care much for the music unless you know DJ Sweet Lou will be there, he always makes the dance floor jump.

This was the single worst bar I have ever been to!!! The bartenders are out of control and borderline criminal. My husband and I went in with another couple to have a drink before going back to our hotel. When we wanted to leave the bartender refused to give my husband back his credit card. He even denied having taken it. I asked to speak with the manager and was sworn at & threatened. It wasn’t until I literally took out my phone to call the police that they «found» my husbands credit card. Not only will I never go back — but I feel it is my duty to warn others to stay clear as well. I hate to give it any stars at all!!!

Warning: This is a locals only bar! If you are visiting, don’t go here unless you are looking for trouble! In the past I have experienced wasted locals looking to fight visitors for no reason at all.
The staff was friendly enough but the security is definitely shady and defends the drunk locals.

My night was ruined by the absolute worst bar tender. Rude from the get go. We are from out of town. What should have been a simple question of wanting to know drink options turned into this women telling us to leave if we didn’t know what they served. Needless to say we are not returning and making sure this establishment is not recommended to no one.

My husband, another couple, and I had a nice weekend in Sonoma. Decided that the hotel bar closing at 11 and having a section of alcohol we weren’t really into wasn’t going to do. We needed a dive and a dive we found.
Not sure if it was just too busy for us to have any run ins with these awful regulars. But most of the people are nice. It was a strange meat market feel at times but was ok.
The service was the reason for the minus 1. Extremely slow and the bartender seemed extremely out of her comfort zone.

Some really rough reviews for about the best locals bar in Wine Country. The bar food is actually really well done and not too greasy. Good tap selection, and bar tenders that know how to mix a proper cocktail. Steiner is like an Oasis stepping out of the tourist dominated square to watch football on the multiple screens on Sunday’s. Unlike most of my favored hole in the walls, though, its actually pretty clean and well kept. Pool and Darts too! Its really an any-​mans corner bar, and Im glad they can still scare away some of the unsavory outsiders.

My sister-​in-​law got married this past weekend in Sonoma and had her after party here. Shortly after her arrival, someone had stolen hers and my mother-in-law’s purses. Staff did absolutely NOTHING!!! You just let a bride sit there in her wedding gown crying!!! Who does that???
I wouldn’t be surprised it if it was one of your staff who stole the purses, iPhones, etc!!! Others have also complained about thefts occurring at this bar and I’ll bet the owners and staff don’t give a crap about them either.
HORRIBLE…this place should be shut down or have all the staff fired and hire people that actually know what they’re doing and have compassion. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! KARMA… JUST SAYIN’

I was hesitant to try this place out considering the reviews on bad service and lack of welcoming atmosphere, but it looked fairly busy for the Nationals vs Giants game this afternoon. I don’t even know where to start.
All the locals were completely hammered, at 3pm? Somewhat trashy.
The drinks were affordable, but horrendous service. The bartender was a short brunette who looked Latino, and seemed drunk or on drugs and slower than ever. Not to mention emotionless and hard to understand.
I am not too picky but I will not dare return, unless I’m blacked out and want to be surrounded by obnoxious locals.

Decent beer selection. The locals are flat out assholes. They spread out along the bar and won’t let a visitor in, which really sucks since I have made Sonoma my place to end a Silicon Valley work week. See my reviews of El Dorado Hotel. It really is a WTF place since so many of us here are not regulars. I refuse to put up with their bullshit and elbow my way in. They are more miserable than I am. But screw them. If I can f with them I will!
Btw — I always respect locals, just not assholes.

We stopped in on a Sunday night for dinner. That’s right dinner. Rumor has been going around town about their crab and shrimp Louie’s. Salad took FOREVER to come to the table, but to be fair we were warned when we ordered that it would be a wait. Salad was very good and very generous with shrimp.
