Patty Marken – Wine Country Group

As a first time buyer, I couldn’t be happier with Patty. From the beginning she was prepared and knowledgeable. On our first appointment she brought us both a package full of information that was very helpful when we were looking at homes. She listened to what we wanted and only showed us houses with our top «wants». Patty was the one who found the house we ultimately bought. I was out of town, but she thought that my fiancé should see it right away and she was right. When he saw it he called me right away and I made an appointment with Patty to see it as soon as I returned. Once we decided to buy, Patty was so helpful. She recommended a loan agent who was very helpful and worked fast. She kept in touch with us and answered the many questions we had. The sale went fast and Patty was on our side the entire time. We are new to the area and she recommended us a great electrician, locksmith and interior designer. Patty did not disappear after the sale. We are still in contact and when I need advice on anything about our home she is always there to help. Couldn’t be happier!

I’m not one to write many reviews. First of all, I probably expect a pretty high level of service, so it is hard to be impressed. But second, who has the time to sit down and do it? Well, in this case, I made the time because Patty Marken is that good. I found Patty originally through the referrals of friends who hired her to buy/​sell property in Sonoma County. I was looking for a 2d home, didn’t have much time to look, and gave Patty my wish list and price goals. Patty focused in on what I was looking for immediately and showed me a number of properties in my price range w/​different amenities so I could be quickly educated. I ended up buying something I saw the first day — but because we (unexpectedly) ended up in a negotiation with the seller’s bank, the process (through no fault of Patty’s) was drawn out and unpredictable. Patty guided me thru all of it with outstanding focus and effort. The thing I really like about Patty — and why I can’t recommend her highly enough — is that she is completely honest, trustworthy, no pressure, and really on her client’s side. Because of her efforts, I know I got a good deal — which is an awfully hard thing to say in any real estate market. She also knows Sonoma in/​out and will make sure you have the most conscientious inspectors and find the property right for you. During closing she even made sure to give me the numbers for the gas and water companies to get my service turned on, got me an estimate from a vendor for some light work on my new house, and has offered to provide further referrals if needed. Patty made me feel like I was her highest priority at all times. I have already passed her number on to many friends, but I thought she has more than earned many times over the few minutes it took to write this positive review.
