My other post was removed??? I guess I was saying too many good things! I went to my first Track Day with RedShift last year after months of my friend telling me I had to go with him! I signed up with the intention of getting accustomed to the track and meeting other folks there with my seasoned veteran friend. On the day of my friend told me he was not going… So I show up the the track, by myself, and nervous as all get out. I have been riding bikes for over 10 years but this was my first time at the track, and my first time meeting ANY of the people there. From the second I pulled in, one of the instructors came over and helped me get my bike down form the back of my truck. After I got my bike off and situated we were all called into a safety meeting where the rules of the track, flags etc… are gone over. All of the instructors are also introduced. I wont bore you with the rest of the details about the day accept… The instructors«hold your hand» for the first couple of times around the track and then help you go faster and faster(while still making sure you are safe) each time out. The instructors give you pointers, hints, and share there knowledge after every session with an in class«summary» of the previous run. I spent over 1.5 hours ACTUALLYONTHETRACK! The time spent on the track in combination with the knowledge and experience that I all the instructors share makes this track day well worth the money.

I have attended events with Red Shift all over Northern California(Laguna, Sears Point, Buttonwillow) and have had a great time doing so. The staff is really helpful and if you are a track noobie you can get extra attention when riding in the C group to stay safe and improve your riding. Donna keeps things on track and there isn’t alot of idle time when you should be riding or improving on technique. If its your first time or your experienced rider you will have a good day at one of their events! Keep the rubberside down.

This is a review from a non-track rider. While I do have my motorcycle license and own a motorcycle, I have yet to put it all together and get myself at a track school… definitely want to be riding the track at some point… just not now. However, I LOVE being at the track to support my friends as they ride and learn and of all the track schools I’ve «visited,» Ride Red Shift is by far the most organized, most welcoming, and has the best instructors. The lady who runs the outfit, Donna, is incredibly sweet and there’s no doubting her intense passion for motorcycles and motorcyclists. The instructors there are all fantastic – super patient and not at all pretentious. Their instructors range from pro-racers, like Tom Montaño(the World’s Fastest American to have ridden the Isle of Man) to seasoned every-day, super-skilled enthusiasts who love the rev of the engine and the turns of the track. Some of the instructors have even taken me for a ride around the track on the back of their bikes and WOW!!! Any doubts I may have had of their skills were wiped clean! These people can RIDE!!! Ride Red Shift is the most awesome track school I have ever dealt with and it is the ONLY outfit I recommend to my moto-head friends. Not only do you get more track time than the other schools but they have a vey realistic attitude toward getting your bike track ready… no need to drain your coolant or unplug all your wiring. All you have to do is tape those bad boys up and everyone – from cruiser type BMWs to sporty Ducatis are welcomed and embraced. There isn’t a high testosterone«go-go-go, faster is better» mentality at Red Shift. They really focus on teaching safe riding techniques and encouraging people to go and learn at their at own pace and they are ultra awesome to female riders!!! If you are looking for a track school, look no further than Ride Red Shift! You won’t be disappointed! This is the school I’ll be signing up when I’m ready to take on the track!
