Savory Spice Shop is a Colorado-based chain, and the scent of the spices will give you a Rocky Mountain High. They have their own line of hot sauces, several different kinds of chili&curry powders, all different kinds of salts and seasonings. Savory Spice Shop has unique offerings like Cambodian lemongrass curry, evocative of «Lord Jim»(the first movie filmed at Angkor Wat, the second would be «Tomb Raider») — A great place for a taste of the exotic. I got friendly service, along with a group of tourists from Hawaii. The flavors&scents evoke the Ring of Fire.

I love this store. Sweetest lady helped us yesterday. She was very helpful and shared some of her favorite recipe and spices. I love the variety of the spices they have and that they always share recipe cards for everything. Great gift packages, it’s an awesome motivation to cook more!

I love this place. Not only do they sell some of the best quality and selection of spices I’ve seen, they also provide great recipes for these spices. From curry, to BBQ, to 6 different types of cinnamon(yeah, who knew? 6!). They also provide food samples and testers. This place turns my amateur cooking into awesomeness.

If you love to cook, this is spice nirvana. Savory Spice Shop in Sonoma is a charming little store with a friendly and welcoming staff — especially Jen who is very knowledgeable about the store’s spices. I walked in to buy some chipotle powder and to replace some saffron I kind of stole from my brother, and walked out with about a dozen difference spice blends. My current faves are the Peruvian Chile Lime Seasoning, El Diente Peak Southwest Seasoning and the Makrut Lime Sea Salt(mmmmm on a Margarita rim), but I bought a load of spices and I’m using them every day. Awesome prices(Penzey’s? Fugget about it!) — reasonable shipping costs and a killuh website with a zillion recipes. If you’re in Sonoma or Santa Rosa, you have to visit this shop — and if you’re not, check out the website!

I recently received a 4 pack of seasoning, from Savory Spice Shop, as a gift: Roman Pepper, Mt Massive, Red Rocks, and Hudson Bay. My two favorite seasonings would be the Roman Pepper and Red Rocks Hickory Smoke(which I used as a rub on grilled ribeye). My two kids(two and fours years old) loved sampling these spices and could barely wait for the steak to come off the grill.

«Slow food» is popular as ever and here you can buy all the freshest spices to make those dishes fabulous. They stock spices for all culinary possibilities! Make your own salad dressings, ice cream flavorings, baked goods, bbq… you name it, they’ve got the spices for it. You can sample the spices before you buy. I like supporting local businesses like this. Great gift idea for many occasions. Great prices too. This location is NEW, however they also have a store in Santa Rosa. You can also purchase online from their website. Thanks Pat and Jen for the excellent customer service and great information.
