I almost got scammed. Thanks Unilocal for the warning. The fast-talking salesman with a bunch of tattoos tried to sell me a $ 400 box of frozen steaks while I was unloading groceries in my driveway. Box and the steaks looked old. He made up some story about how a customer ordered extra, and he needed to get rid of it at a discount to avoid the restocking fee. Don’t waste my time.

So I was one of the poor suckers that fell for this scam. A fast talking guy named Justin came to my door on a vulnerable day when I was too tired to think straight. I bought a case of meat that he originally tried to get $ 500 for for $ 200. after he left, I nearly cried when I did the math and realized I had just paid over $ 12/lb for poor quality meat. The steaks are all incredibly thin and poor quality. The hamburger patties are truly disgusting, I threw them away. They are not even ground chuck, more like by product meat. The steaks are also not sealed well and when I thaw them out they bleed all over the plate while still in the packaging. please don’t fall for it. Thats very nice of their friend to defend them in the previous review, but it sounds like her friend needs a better job.

These poor guys are getting an unfair rap on Unilocal.I know someone who work for the owners named Justin and Aaron. Yes, the have a small business site off Piner Road in Santa Rosa. These guys only make commission with no base salary. They sometimes give you really good deals. The meat is worth the price if you get a good deal from these guys. The quality is good. The cuts are pre-trimmed and are healthier than some steaks out there. I think the negative reviewers should do a little research before making stuff up.

My gut said«no» and I almost fell for their line. So glad I didn’t. The guy stormed out of my house cussing after I tried to politely tell him I wasn’t interested.

Don’t be fooled, they might seem nice but they will rob you blind leaving you overpriced steaks. They come in a white truck with a colorado license plate. They ask you if you are looking for a good deal for steaks and starts offering you their products. I talked to Conrad, he said they are located in pine road, santa rosa. This place does not even exist. Their steaks look okay but are actually cheap cuts of meat that they sell for expensive cuts.

Just had a door to door salesman from«The Steak Guys» try to sell us steaks out of the back of his truck. Boy did he try the wrong house. First, I think this company is a scam so beware. Second, my husband(who cooks steaks for a living) answered the door and started asking him detailed questions about their products and price list and the guy had no answers and lost interest in selling anything to us. This to me is a big red flag. We like to know a lot about products before we decide to buy and especially for food. I checked«The Steak Guys» out on line and they also have bad reviews on and an «F» rating with the Better Business Bureau based on customer complaints. Watch out for these guys! This review is based solely on the business premise and customer service. We have no knowledge of the product but the first two aspects left a bad taste in my mouth. Why would I want to even try their product?! The final nail in this coffin is that we live in a retirement community. Trying to sell this product door to door to possibly unsuspecting elderly people is just wrong.

Scam!!! The Steak Guys is a door-to-door sales scam where you buy frozen meats for an above average price. The salesman claims the meats to be of very high quality, however the steaks are very thin and end up being nothing more than low-grade, hamburger-quality meat. They have flyers and other things to show you, but don’t be fooled. Total scam.
