Recently moved back to Sonora, and decided to try this place out for lunch. Got a Togo order. I ordered 13 «boneless» wings. When I arrived home I discovered that my order was regular bone in wings. I don’t live far so I decided to call and see if I could maybe get what I ordered instead, but was told by the rude employee that because I didn’t tell her the exact name for boneless wings which is something along the lines of boneless tenders or something to that extent that it wasn’t there fault. So I decided to just eat what they gave me and it was disappointing! Wings had next to no meat on them, and here drownding in sauce and cold. I wouldn’t recommend eating here and honesty I drive by this place every day a few times a day and no one is ever there it’s always dead and was that way when I went in at the peak of lunch time. I am not happy with how I was treated. Don’t waste your time with this particular establishment. Waste of money!

During our recent 4th of July mini weekend vacation, my brother and I happened on this place by happy accident. After a marathon 8hr drive up from San Diego, we were just hoping for some decent food at a reasonable price. The restaurants in the historic districts gave us sticker shock, so we opted to try a chain outlet. We found the food to be delicious and filling, in fact we ate here all 3 nights of our stay. Our servers Caitlin and Rob were attentive, friendly and charming. We had great fun talking about the differences between SD and Motherlode. As we were on vacation, we appreciated having a pleasant place to chill and the flat screen TVs with the endless coverage of the World Cup didn’t phase us at all – must be that it seems every other eatery in SD has TVs so we don’t even notice them anymore. Both the burgers and chicken sandwiches were tasty. I developed a special fondness for the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and my brother raved about the Pulled Pork BBQ. Throw in the fries and endless ice tea and it made for a satisfying dinner. We didn’t experience any of the issues or problems others reported. As a small aside, a quick trip up the street to Lowe’s for some mulch would help freshen up the front as trying to maintain any plant landscaping during a drought is just a waste of water.

We were seated immediately and our waiter was very very attentive and friendly. Although food takes quite some time to come out(especially surprising since we were literally the only people in the restaurant), when it does come, it’s incredible. Bacon cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and even fish! Sure it’s a little pricey, but quality costs. I’ll definitely go back if I’m in the area again.

Service seems to be hit-or-miss. Sometimes we had a great, attentive waiter/waitress, other times we’re a total afterthought and the staff seem more interested in screwing around behind the counter. The food is so-so, definitely not something I’m craving. It seems like cheap Denny’s food, as there are a lot of things on the menu but nothing I’ve tried(or anybody else I know) really grabbed me as something I have to go back for. It just tastes like your typical Sysco food that is as cheap as they can get it, cooked somewhat uniformly(but reminds me of trainee cooks at Applebee’s where it’s going to be soggy with grease and don’t bother telling them how you want your meat cooked). I’m not sure what the training program is like, or if there is one, but the hit-or-miss of food and service indicates it’s lacking at best. I don’t think there is good management. Nothing stands out on the menu, with the décor, or in the branding. It just feels like someone bought up an old Denny’s, slapped on «buffalo wings», and tries to squeeze as much profit out of the cheap greasy food as they can… except, that’s EXACTLY what they did. It’s a little bizarre. There is nothing«original» about it. Apparently this is a chain restaurant but we have local places here that are much better executed in every area. I would give it 3 stars because it’s alright, but the last time I went my girlfriend and I sat at our table for 30 minutes and NOBODY came to take our order and there was hardly anyone there. We left and went to Applebee’s, which isn’t the peak of culinary art but at least the waiters aren’t screwing around the whole time and there seems to be a sense of pride about the place. I haven’t gone back since and frankly, I don’t miss it.

Just tried it for the first time yesterday and it was amazing!!! Just as good as Buffalo Wild Wings if not maybe a little better and more wings for your money. We tried classic wings medium which had good flavor and a nice kick, the spicy bbq were very good as we’ll and the habanero lime wings are excellent if you like spicy food. The best part is the wings have a lot of sauce and were not dry at all. The waitress was very friendly and our drinks were always full. Can’t wait to go back!!!

We had both the chicken wings and the duck wings. The chicken wings were ok to good. Nothing I’d go out of my way to order again but the duck wings… ooh la la. Now those were tasty! Had the home made potato chips which while good could have been thinner and crispier. The wait staff was good but the bathroom was not clean. We were the first customers of the day and toilets weren’t flushed, paper towel bin over flowing. Out of towels etc. Overall I will eat here again but I’d like to see a bit bigger chicken wings. But do try those duck wings. They didn’t need sauce, so it was good the sauce came on the side.

I called ahead for a table for 10 – 12 on a Monday night, but as it turned out only 5 arrived for dinner. There was no frustration from the staff, we were each seated and separate check availability was offered. Of the five present, no one ordered wings. There were 3 hamburger orders(one a quarter-pound«child’s plate» with fries with a chocolate milk shake and two of their half-pound burgers). The burgers were cooked to order on a better than the usual bun and topped with generous portions of lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.(or toppings of choice). The other two guests had the Chicken Caesar Salad, which contained more chicken than the typical restaurant in town on a generous bed of Romaine lettuce. Everyone seemed pleased with their meal. Our server was congenial and efficient and the overall experience was positive and I will be back. My husband wants to try their fish and chips and I have to experience that salad! There were very few customers, but it was early on a Monday night. On arrival, we told the server we had a «deadline» as we were on our way to a meeting and that did not become a problem. Unfortunately, I had previously heard rumors that it wasn’t that good but like to make my own judgment and was very happy with my meal, the prices and the service. Convenient location, too, and definitely worth giving a try and forming your own opinion.

Well, as I promised, I went back. And I had a much better experience. I took my husband, my one year old daughter, and a friend of mine. We were seated as soon as we walked in, no waiting at all. I was immediately given a high chair for my daughter, which was nice. I didn’t even have to ask. We got our drinks pretty quickly. The waitress, who was the same one from the first time I went, was again very friendly, and definitely had more knowledge of the menu. She was able to answer all the questions we had. We ordered the cheesy fries and onion rings for appetizers, and they were brought out pretty fast. Very hot and very delicious. My husband and I ordered two different kinds of wings, and my friend ordered the tenders. I will say that it took a long time to get our entrees, but that doesn’t really bother me. All it says to me is that our food is actually being cooked, not sitting under a heat lamp all day. So it was well worth the wait. My wings were delicious, my husband enjoyed his, and my friend liked her tenders. It was all steaming hot and very tasty, My daughter, the impatient little girl she is, started to get fussy, so our waitress brought her out a cookie, which was so nice of her. I will definitely go back with my family. Many improvements were made since my first time. I’m glad Sonora finally has a decent wing place. My only real criticism is the décor. I know it’s difficult when you’re a brand new business and money is tight, but I think there would be a lot more people going there if it looked more like a wing place/sports bar. It still looks too much like a diner. But that’s it, really. The food is great, and the service is so friendly. I really hope this place works out and sticks around for a while. But the only way for that to happen is if all of you reading this GO! Let’s give them a fighting chance guys!

We tried to go but the doors were locked and the place was closed at 11:30 and the sign said they open at 11. Not sure we’ll bother going back. Not a good way to do business at all.

We went to have a family dinner here, we waited for 10 minutes to be seated. Our food did not come out at the same time, fries were cold! Had to ask for silverware after waiting 50 minutes for our food!!! Over charged, terrible!!! Wings had no meat, over cooked, told them we will not be back!

Great traditional bone-in wings, which was my hope when I saw this place go in. They also have a nice selection of on tap beer, including our local Snowshoe grizzly brown ale. The portions were excellent, service fast, and prices reasonable. So yay, a great local wing place. My daughter had a good looking cheeseburger, which she gave two thumbs up. Biggest surprise? The home made potato chips, a perfect compliment to the wings & beer. They have done a nice remodel to this former Denny’s. this will be our new before the movie dinner spot.

I don’t know where they get their chicken wings, but where ever it is, there are a lot of wingless baby chickens. Maybe the idea was they are really tender like veal? Not sure. At one dollar a wing, I was expecting a lot more wing for my buck. I’m pretty sure you could probably find more meat on the eaten wing bones in the garbage can out in back of Hooters. Also had burger which was decent, but also came with a $ 10 price tag. One might believe that it should come with fries at a minimum? Nope a burger on a plate. I will probably not come back unless they start using adult chicken wings and they price themselves for a Sonora market. Their current prices might be appropriate for their San Francisco location but this is not S.F. Yet despite the S.F. Location having an overall 3 star rating(308 reviews), I’m pretty sure they’re set on the current game plan, which is unfortunate because I really really wanted this place to be awesome. By the way waitstaff was really friendly and on top of things.

Well, on arrival I was disappointed, the logo and name was so similar to the coveted«Buffalo Wild Wings» To which all wing places are compared(Even their backstory on the menu is strikingly similar…), but hey, what do you expect in a small town. We got there around nine and figured we’d give it a shot. The one waitress was friendly and attentive(Can’t remember her name), but we never saw a manager during our meal… correction, never spoke to one. The manager was walking around, on a phone, with half her stomach hanging out because her shirt was caught on her apron. Moving on. I sampled several wing sauces and I would say mediocre at best. The tequila lime tasted like neither and the yogurt curry tasted like some off the shelf stuff I could make at home. I didn’t order the wings because even in the pictures they looked small, and the sauces were unappealing. I ended up getting the gyro and garlic fries(sides are extra? hmm.) and my friend got the BLTA and coleslaw. Despite both of us being very hungry, she didn’t eat half of her small sandwich due to the bacon tasting funny, not being cooked uniformly, under ripe avocado, and unevenly toasted bread. After three forced bites of coleslaw she pushed it aside as well. The garlic fries came to the table luke-warm, soggy and with what looked like some garlic thrown on as an afterthought. Not quite enough to taste good, but enough to funk up your breath. These we also left unfinished. My gyro was probably the best part of the experience, despite it being somewhat bland and very dry. After a disappointing meal, we wanted something to make us forget about it but the only item they offer in the way of desserts are milkshakes… Not a very wing friendly choice if you ask me, and probably only there because it was left over from Dennys. We ended up going to Applebees for drinks and dessert. This place has soo much potential, and I don’t want to see it wasted… but until they get their food act straightened out, My go to choice for wings and bar food in Sonora will remain Applebees. I rate it a two only because I refuse to rate something one star unless I am either food poisoned, treated very poorly by wait staff, or am otherwise grossly disappointed. I might try it again but I doubt it.

My husband and I really want to support our local businesses. Our first experience here was acceptable. Patty melt was good. Interesting that hamburgers do not come with French fries? Restaurant owner may want to reconsider this. Staff seemed new and unsure totally to be expected but made up for it with attentiveness and friendliness. Food was delivered timely; food was hot. Owner seemed friendly and gracious. Will give it another try — there are healthy options on the menu. Ambiance left a bit to be desired.

Wings, brews and a fun staff! We tired most all the spicy wing flavors and enjoyed them all. Our server Maggie was awesome and made sure we we’re well taken care of. Other staff members also checked on us so at no point did we go without food or drink. See ya soon!

In all fairness, the resaurant has been open a couple of days. Bravo and congrats, a wonderful transformation from a poorly run Denny’s. We had original hot wings and the lemon pepper wings. Also a wonderful Greek salad. The salad was delightful, fresh and ample, the dressing was perfect! The wings were hot and good. I will agree with the other reviewer though, SMALL. I would hope that they never get a bag of smaller ones from their supplier by mistake, you would need tweezers. I know bigger wings are out there to be had, BWW uses them and I by them at Safeway. This subject is going to be a do or die issue for this restaurant. People want a value, not to be cofused with cheapness, a $ 1 each is a lot for bitty little wing. Again, having bought them at Safeway and having training in restaurant food cost, I know this restaurant can use a bigger wing. Great service! The manager/owner stopped by for conversation, I hope he Unilocal!and opts for the larger wings, Sonora needs this resaurant, not another failure. I will now give them a good word on the street and return in a month or to give them another shot! Modesto is too far to drive for good wings at BWW and it’s really @%#*! messy to make good wings at home. Cheers!
