Okay, I’ll admit it; I’m a smoker. I’m not proud of it, it’s a disgusting habit, I know, I know. I used to pay close to $ 10 a day per pack of smokes until a co-worker of mine told me she rolled her own cigarettes and referred me to Randy’s Cigar Box. I immediately stopped by this tiny, tidy shop and told them what kind of cigarettes I smoked. They kindly rolled one for my similar to my taste and allowed me to step outside to smoke it and see if I liked it. Well, I did. I purchased a half pound of Randy’s Green Tobacco and some light tubes, along with an $ 8 handheld rolling machine. Low and behold, I’m rolling around 13 packs of cigarettes for $ 45/month. 13 packs of cigarettes would’ve normally cost me close to $ 130! Randy’s is independently owned and operated; the owners live in the house attached to the small shop. The woman who is normally manning the cash register isn’t all that friendly; although, if you catch her on the right day, she’ll chat with you for a few minutes. The guy who works there is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The shop is very small and will easily get packed on a busy day. They will allow you to call ahead to place your order so that when you arrive, it’s ready for you. I’ve referred many, many people to Randy’s to start saving money on those oh-so expensive cigarettes. Another benefit of rolling your own, besides saving ton of money, is you are smoking natural tobacco; while it’s still nicotine, it’s not packed full of chemicals. I’ll never go back to buying commercial cigarettes again.
