Ning’s Alterations

I’ve sent 2 coats and 3 jackets to Ning for alterations over the last year, and all five came back perfect. I would be shocked if there’s a better tailor than Ning within say 30 miles. In my experience she is MUCH better and cheaper than Parisi by the ND campus.

Ok, let’s face it, I am like Danny Di Vito these days. Gone are the days when I was running six minute miles and dating super models, so I have to go in and get pants taken in (yeah right), let out, or have my pants hemmed and a button put on from time to time. Her turn around is usually 7 – 10 days, but her prices are cheap for what she does.
Now, I know that bridezillas have a hard time everywhere, but Ning is so low key and cool I bet she could deal with the craziest broad who needs her bright yellow bridesmaids dresses revamped to provide some elastic for the little fatties. Oh, I remember what that was like. We had to have a seamstress do a custom dress for our recently plump college roommate.
Ning is great at what she does and she does it well.

This is my second year going to Ning and I can say that I am not looking forward to finding another tailor when I move to Chicago in a few months.
She’s great with *everything*. I have taken khakis, dress pants, suit pants, suit jackets, blazers, sport coats, dress shirts, coats, jackets, ties, etc… and they have all come back great. She spots the tiniest details that I wouldn’t and makes great suggestions so that I end up with something that feels like it was specially made for my body. Her work is quality and she wants you to be happy with it, so she will keep on tweaking until everything is just right.
Her prices are very good ($ 270 for extensive work (waist, seat, hem, and slimming out legs) on three khakis and four suit pants, thinning out (waist and sleeve) and shortening of three suit jackets, and minor alterations to a pea-​coat) and her turn around time is decent. She’s usually pretty busy, so some items can take weeks. But, it’s very worth the result!

I moved to South Bend over a year ago and have used several tailoring and alteration services and NONE compare to the service and quality of work at Ning’s. She is affordable, friendly, and willing to work with you if you need something done quickly! She’s a genuine professional who takes pride in doing good work and I have always been more than satisfied with the outcome. Don’t go anywhere else!
