Dr. Ashok did not treat my father well when he was under his care for weeks. He would not explain the diagnosis he would leave my fathers situation up in the air.
He only gave my father about two minutes of his time when he would go to the hospital which was about once every week. My father spent days in the hospital waiting to be transported to another hospital for surgery, supposedly ashok was waiting for a bed to open up at the other hospital so that he may refer my father to enter the other hospital and it never happened.
We understood that it does take days to get a bed in another hospita: l however, the staff at greater el monte kept giving my family different excuses that never added up they always blamed one another, the hospital and ashok.
Finally we had enough and took our father out of the hospital, where they were they constantly had him on an IV that he did not need. Ashok then said he would refer my father to another hospital, he told my father it was ok to wait at home. We waited for another week and still no referal.
Finally, today my father had an appointment with ashok. My father went to the appointment, which is not an easy task being that my father is handicapped and has a very hard time walking.
My father was on time to the appointment and ashoks staff informed my father that he was not there and that ashok told them to tell my father to go to the other hospital and admit himself without a referral and to tell the new hospital that ashok is his general doctor. The nerve of this man. He does not refer my father but still expects to stay on as his doctor? He has one too many screws loose.
Ashok is a joke of a doctor, my poor father was waiting for about 3 weeks for ashok to refer him to another hospital and at the end he skips out on the appointment and tells my father to admit himself?!
No one should be treated this way. If you value yourself and your family I would recommened that you look somewhere else. Ashok ignored my father and most likely will ignore you or your family too.

This office is no good. This has been her doctor for a few years and their office staff needs help. My mothers caretaker took her for an appointment and the workers were apparently sitting at lunch because you could hear them. Her appt was at 1:30 and this was at 1:20. She had to use the restroom. She is over 70 and uses a walker at times. She had to go so bad. She yelled for help. The caretaker knocked on the window and doors. My mother was literally yelling and NOBODY came out to see what was going on. Thank God she wasn’t on the floor having a stroke or something. Or fell while walking. Once she was settled the issue was discussed with a staff member and that staff member told the office manager. The office manager didn’t even come out to apologize or act concerned. If you are in the health care industry you are supposed to be committed to helping people. Apparently not at this office. This staff has horrible work ethics. Get your staff together Dr! They need guidance.

If you want your Dr. to be as rude and uncooperative as possible, if you want your Dr. to look as if he just came off of a weekend bender, if you want your Dr. to be uncooperative with the sheriff’s department concerning your ill grandmother. …Dr. Nagasamudra S. Ashok, M.D. is your man! (Don’t) go see him at Greater El Monte Community Hospital or at his luxurious office across the street next to El Chilito Mexican food (which is awesome by the way). If you have a serious issue… good luck.
