This is the best place to eat in South Gate if u want to enjoy authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend this place because they make very delicious Carne Asadas. The last weekend I went to eat menudo and I was amazingly surprise because the menudo was served with fresh handmade tortillas. My whole family comes at this place very often and I enjoy the food and the enivorment everytime I come to this restaurant.

I love this place! Come here on the regular with the family. Fans of the huevos rancheros, torta de milanesa, and the hand-made tortillas. Service is quick, food is great tasting and prices aren’t out of control. This place will definitely remain as one of our go-to’s.

Mulitas plate is really good also asada burritos also only downfall is sometimes the mexican rice is bland but other than that its pretty good

So i came here for breakfast the other day and i ordered the Chilaquiles plate and a side of Flan. Walking in I knew it would be a while to get my food because it was pretty packed. But after a long time waiting, i grew inpatient because it began to look empty. Finally over a half over, i got my 1 plate of food and took it home. The food was really good which is why im giving it 2 stars but the service was slow and their flan was old:/ Also the serving of food isn’t the same amount as if you were to eat In which is wierd because its still the same price.

It’s your average mom and pop Mexican restaurant, nothing special. The carne asada breakfast burrito was bland and almost flavorless. The staff was really nice but the service was very, very slow.
There’s a salsa bar at the end of the counter. If you’re dining in, they’ll tell you to go sit down and get waited on.

One of the best in South Gate! I had the chilaquiles and they were jam packed with flavor some of the greatest I’ve ever had. The beans themselves hold up a good fight in the flavor war if anything I would a bucket of those by themselves they are that good. If you like Mexican breakfast come here I recommend it.

I’m giving this place a solid 4 starts for their Menudo. It has a great flavor and you can get it with pata I just wish it was a bigger portion or that they added more hominy since I was still a bit hungry when I was done. They serve the Menudo with hand made tortillas which is must for me. The only reason I didn’t give a 5^th star is because they didn’t have a good red salsa to go along with it, which is also a must for me. They have a red salsa that has a strange flavor that I wasn’t a big fan of. The place is clean and simply decorated.
The service was ok. They could probably use one more waiter or waitress since there was a bit of a wait for some people coming in. Another thing I liked is that they have AC for hot days.
Overall the place is a 4.5 stars. All it’s missing is a good salsa to go with the menudo. I’m taking a burrito de asada home to try later since I saw some good reviews about it.

Great Mexican food at a great price. Best in the area. Love their house spicy sauce extremely spicy and I love the Chile Relleno, quesadillas, enchiladas and their 5 $ lunch combos: D

This is a good spot if you are in the area. I love there super nachos and the tortas. If I’m on a budget they have a 4 taco and soda special for $ 5.50

Came here since my parents had visited the joint before and loved their mulitas (two handmade tortillas filled with cheese and ur choice of meat). Kinda like a quesadilla.
So came here on the weekend. Two ladies working the place. Its a small clean place.
you can order at the front or the lady comes and takes ur order. Well we tried their Mulitas, with asada and al pastor (so steak and pork marinated meats) omg, the fresh made tortilla made those. soooo good.
The wife had some sopes, and again, the homemade masa sope made it. Everything was made to order. VERY GOOD… Must try.
The only set back is there salsa’s. didnt care for the green chile salsas (hot or mild one). The red was actually the better one, and im not really a red chile person.
Otherwise, very good. Prices were decent as well.
