My new favorite place. The food is delicious and the prices are amazing. I will be back again and again.

No joke! You really must come and taste for yourself. It’s not the best looking place, but they do have an A for Autstanding!!! :)
The food has a very authentic Mexican flavor. A very friendly service and you can tell that they have a lot of repeat customers! I now know why.

Me & my BF have come twice to eat here and it is so Very Delicious !!! The prices are very reasonable and service is Great. It’s a small but comfortable place to come eat with your friends and or Family. Enjoy !!!

Everything I have tried in this restaurant has been delicious. I recommend their menudo when you have a hangover. Great service

Visiting South Gate today, Greenspans to be exact and felt like trying a new place. Found this place down the street from Greenspans so decided to give it a shot. Had some good rating so maybe i ordered the wrong plate (i had Camarones al mojo de ajo), but it wasn’t good at all. It wasn’t bad, just not good enough to come back. Alot of good Marisco’s place around so if it’s not great, i won’t be coming back. Service was good, the place was clean but the food just didn’t impress me.

The big thing for me here is that it was pretty salty… The say it’s the the freshest sea food but in 5 minutes I received my ceviche and it looked like it was sitting for a while… My liking for ceviche is raw marinated in lemon… So it wasn’t that fresh if I got it in 5 minutes because the shrimp should of still been raw… For the chicken salad the chicken taste like it was recooked wasn’t fresh at all I don’t think I’ll be coming back. The cool part was all the pictures of different Hispanic Arian that have gone to the restaurant

Bomb restaurant. What I like is the variety of food not normally seen in Mexican restaurants. Had the cochinita pibil (stewed pork yucatan style) and taco sampler plate with ceviche de pescado, ceviches de Cameron, pulpo (octopuss) and breaded fish taco. Have eaten here twice — superb eats

Delicious Food. We shared two dishes, the «Cochinita Pibil» it’s a slow cooked pork dish with beans and rice and the «Mixed Taco Plate», one of each, shrimp, fish, squid, and octopus. I ate the shrimp and fish, perfect. Go here!

Simply on customer service and prices!!! Didn’t even taste the food! Long story short. Ordered 2 tostadas de ceviche ($ 3.50 each on menu) she rings up the order and all of a sudden the tostadas are $ 6 each because she said prices went up!!! Umm no thank you! Cancelled our order and ended up going to perihuete!

Good food and great owner! I came twice in one day. The first time, I had churros with my parents. They were really good and made fresh. With it, we had atole de nuez. Again good, but it got a little too sweet for me. That was just me though. Later, we came back for the ten tacos for ten dollars deal. Those were some good tacos!!! I must admit though, the Habanero sauce was not even close to being spicy and it looked more like pico de gallo. Other than that, it was great and the owner was so friendly and he really tried to make you feel at home! I’m definitely coming back if I’m ever in the area!

Love this place. The shrimp taco special is awesome, dont forget the fish tacos also so good… fat man approved service is awesome and friendly love it…

just picked up a ceviche de camaron tostada & it was spoiled; thank you for also spoiling my lunch. pretty annoyed right now since I am on a time crunch during my lunch break
needless to say, I will not be back; pointer to the owner: throw out your old food, don’t try to make a buck off of it

So for my first review, im doing Yucatan because I USED to love this restaurant. Sorry, things have changed between us lol
Now that they have increased their prices, i find it is no longer worth the good food and terrible service.
Ive been living in the area for quite some time and from time to time, id visit Yucatan for the tacos and shrimp tostadas. Let me tell you, you wont be disappointed with that. Aside from what I normally order, im not familiar with the rest of the menu. But the tacos are the best. (and i believe they stayed the same price)
The tostadas on the other hand, are wayyyyy over priced now. And to top it off, ive had better.
The service SUCKS. period. The place is small and the waiters are so slow. They arent attentive at all. You basically have to flag down the service and repeat yourself a number of times to get what you want.
Overall, next time I’ll probably order tacos– TO GO :)

I tend to order fish tacos to go. You get four huge, filled tacos for $ 7, which seems a little pricey at first, but after your second taco you realize it’s worth it. The salsa it comes with has a nice spice and flavor. Wait time is 15 – 20 minutes for most orders, so it’s best to call ahead. I’ve only dined-​in once, and the chips and salsa they serve before your meal were both really old, gross, and stale. Maybe it was just because I went a couple of hours before closing (I sure hope that was the reason.) Also, I’m almost 100% sure they use powder to make their jamaica and horchata. Not complaining, it’s just that most seafood and Mexican food places make it from scratch, so it was a bit surprising. Overall, the food is delicious.
P. S. If you’re dining in, the inside is really, really decorated. This is either a good thing because it gives you something to look at while you wait, or a bad thing because it makes you feel almost claustrophobic and suffocated. Check this place out and find out for yourself :)

Beware the tacos are HUGE, not like the little small tacos you would expect anywhere else. The tortillas are handmade, and the salsas are pretty spicy. I had two tacos one de cabeza and the other one de asada. They were both pretty good the cabeza was missing a little more flavor, but it wasn’t something that I couldn’t fix with a little bit of salt. The asada tacos was just perfect though.
The reason why I’m giving them three stars is because of the tortilla taste. I can’t quite explain it but I will try. Have you ever had a tortilla and It just feels sour in your stomach? Well these might leave this feeling. Also, the tacos de lengua and adobada which my husband had the pieces were very big they need to cut them a little smaller; they’re about an inch squares. I would prefer to not say what he said they tasted like.
Something else that I found totally weird was that they didn’t offer you guacamole with your tacos. I asked the server for some and I got mashed avocado.
Needless to say will not be coming back here again when we’re in town.

Little whole in a wall that has good food but not great the way I expected. Our order took forever which was weird considering we just got a tostada de pescado ceviche and the whole place was empty. Not sure why it took 40 minutes to get the order.
Saw that some guys next to us brought their own beer which was pretty cool! Overall the food was ok but nothing spectacular. Would rather try another place next time.

I absolutely love this place. I use to live in the area and would go there alot. i’m the mayor through another app so very qualified to write a review. Well do i start the food is authentic yucatan mexican food. I love eating there seafood and I love eating the poc-chuc…if you love eating pork i highly recommend it. It’s a little whole in the wall but do not be fooled there food is the best and will blow any high end marked up restaurant. You get tons of food and the prices are cheap. They don’t serve alcohol but just ask the waitress if you can take a trip down to the liquor store if you must absolutely drink with your food!!!
All the staff have been there for ages… the older waitress in the night can be forgetful sometimes but other than that it is worth visiting.
