Good cheese steaks, but not my favorite. I think the Philadelphian has the best cheese steaks and is a little cheaper, but also much more hole in the wall. This place is good, clean, and consistent. Bread is good, but maybe a little to much bread for the amount of meat. Overall a great place to eat.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent all around. Portion sizes are a little small, but the flavor definitely makes up for it. The staff was nothing but helpful as it was our first time.

Today we decided to try this place since it is close to work. We usually go to Firehouse subs kiddie corner, but wanted something new. DP was pretty busy around 1pm. I was very quickly disappointed with what I saw behind the cashier. A female worker was picking her nose and looking intensely at anything she could find. I understand that she is special needs, and I notices she wasn’t handling any food, and only cleaning tables. We still chose to stay and try out a couple sandwiches, but for the price just under $ 10, $ 9.90 for a meal, the sandwiches were dry and bland. I gave it a 1 star for the lack of flavor in the sandwiches that we ordered and the hygiene educate of the employee.

Im a Cheese-steak junkie. I frequently go to Philadelphia for business and try different places out there. Around here options are limited, and truthfully a few years ago I wasnt a fan of DP. I thought their sandwiches were bland at best. I gave them another chance recently and wow… the meat is much better quality, and so much flavor, now I cant stop going back, Im at least a twice a weeker… probably not super healthy as I love the whiz ! but hey, you only live once :) Beyond the food, the staff there are awesome! friendly and talkative whilst also keeping the orders flowing. Makes for a great experience. Lots of space to sit down, although line at lunch can get long, it goes real quick, those guys are sandwich making machines! and they make them real well!

I had really high expectations for this place. I was a little disappointed. The size of the sandwich for what you pay was just not a good value. I was wishing that I could get some fries and that chips were the only side option. I still gave it 3 stars because it was really good but I left feeling hungry and I had just spend $ 20 bucks. That is not a feeling I like having. The atmosphere was fine. Nothing special. It was clean and that’s all I really look for in an eating establishment. It’s pretty big so there are plenty of places to sit and it’s great if you have a little larger of a group. I think I’ll go back and give it another try but I don’t think it is a place I will frequent.

Time for the Moochies comparison. Philly Cheesesteaks from both. DP — seems like a better seasoned meat, more flavor, a more dry sandwich, almost too dry. M — better bread soft/crunch combo, juicier bites, jalapeño sauce has no equal. DP — «regular size» 6 inch, with chips and drink felt like a good meal M — half size 6ish inch with side and drink felt like I was going to die from being so full, definitely feels like more food Both — about $ 10 for a 6″ combo meal DP — sides = potato chips M — sides = lots of choices DP — clean tables M — haven’t found a clean table yet I leave moochies wishing I could cram more down, it leaves a lingering hankering to keep going, DP doesn’t. Gratuity blank line on receipt = both. I HATETHISTHEMOST, I feel cheap drawing a line on it, but please, you spend 45 seconds making a sandwich behind a counter, why do you expect a tip? I just spent 11 $ on a 6 inch sandwich, a 16 oz fountain drink which is 50% ice, and a side, I’m not leaving a tip. First place to get rid of the gratuity line on The receipt will get 100% of my business once they do.

I’ve never been to Philly, so I can’t claim this is authentic. But I sure hope it is! This is the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had from anywhere. Their cherry pepper steak with whiz is my favorite for sure. They even have Birch beer to go along with the flavor. Check this place out!

Love, love, love the Cherry Pepper Cheesesteak! I love it even more, when I get to eat it protein style! Although, their bread is pretty fabulous! Great location for lunch during the week if you work downtown! Or dinner after work! There is usually a line, but it moved fast and the service is good!

We need DP Cheeseteaks on the East Coast. This place was awesome! We were in Salt Lake CIty for a couple days and this was one of the places that we wanted try out based on great reviews from Unilocal! And boy did it live up to its expectations! DP Cheesesteaks makes great Steak ‘n Cheese sandwiches. If you haven’t tried it out yet, you’re definitely missing out… I highly recommend it!

This place is gold. Perfect lunch spot. They are quick and the price is right for the food you get. Also the variety is great. If you are in the area its the place to go for lunch.

Cheese steak was excellent. The flys flying around our table was obnoxious. Complained to manager, he gave a lame excuse. Bug attacks ruin the experience.

This is the place to go for cheese steaks! I love the variety of choices. I typically go for the one with cream cheese… so delish. We’ve ordered several varieties, and they were all awesome. The dining room is always clean, the employees are nice. You’d be hard pressed to find a better overall cheese steak experience in the Valley.

Can’t get any better than the Philly bleu. My only complaint is that they don’t have DP closer to my house.

Best cheesesteak I’ve had in Utah. Better than Moochies. Their jalapeño and cherry pepper horse radish sauces are delicious as well. Coming back again for sure!

I am from philly and I take my cheesesteaks dead serious. This is the best cheesesteak I have ever had outside the tristate area. The bread they use has the consistency and flavor of the famous philly amoroso roll. The meat is high quality ribeye it is tender and the flavor is right on. I like my steaks wit wiz as we say in philly and dp delivers this as well. Even the smell of dp takes me back home. They even integrate the cheese with the meat as the top places in philly do. In summary this is a very legit philly cheesesteak. A bit pricey, but the ingredients are right on and delicious.

I’ve gone here twice. Once when it was a little slow and once during a Friday lunch rush hour. And it’s weird, but the food was better during the rush hour The décor reminds you of a Philly cheesesteak spot you would find in the heart of New York, but much cleaner I got the garlic cheesesteak and paired it with a side of jalapenos and their garlic spread that they make in house. Just one word: oh, my god! When I read up on this restaurant, it was supposed to compare with the cheesesteaks that they serve up in New York and a piece of that is somehow available in Utah LOL But I must admit, they were freakin right! They make a great sandwich and it’s consistently good. What more do you want for lunch on Fridays? The price was alright. It wasn’t cheap neither was it expensive. I paid $ 7 for a 6 inch. And you can pay $ 10 for a footlong. Should’ve gotten the footlong, like I did last time but this is definitely one of those things you want to eat fresh! Final conclusion — I will go back

I close my eyes and I’m back in Philly, eating a cheesesteak from a street vendor. The place is clean and fast and the food is good, real good. My favorite is the Blue philly and the pizza philly is a close second. I’ve tried quite a few and you can’t go wrong. Hits the spot!
