My husband ordered take-out from here last week and really enjoyed the service he received. They offered him water while he waited and they were really fast and polite. Our food was good as well. We ordered the vegetable platter that comes with a samosa, onion bhaji, and vegetable pakora, the Aloo Mattar and the Tikka Masala. It was all pretty good, but the garlic cheese naan was delicious! I’m not a huge fan of naan, but this was good stuff.

Amazing Indian and Nepalese food. We took our kids and they were super accommodating to kids and the food was excellent. I haven’t been for lunch but, their lunch buffet is only $ 9.95.

I came in looking for some great Indian food and I was truly disappointed. I ordered their saag paneer and it was mushy and bland.

Great food at a great price. Love the all you can eat lunch. Friendly people and easy to access. Not busy just a good cheap place to get Indian food.

Love. Love this place! Great people who work there — so nice and friendly. We’ve been several times and always try something different, we’ve tried over 16 different dishes and they haven’t disappointed and we have picky taste buds. Lunch buffet was great too.

We were excited to see an Indian restaurant within walking distance and we had visited the downtown location before. Maybe I remember it differently or it was not as good, but we were a bit disappointed with this location. The food was not bad, but compared to another two Indian restaurants not far from here, it ranks 3rd in our list. The aloo tikki was a bit bland, the naan seems to have been made well ahead of time, and the curry was just lacking in flavor for our tastes. The Indian tea was pretty nicely spiced, so kudos for that. We had the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken, and while good, did not satisfy our craving for Indian.

We love this place. We try to go there at least twice a month. Try the butter chicken or the tandoori chicken with yogurt sauce. Everything we have tried is amazing with tender fresh meat cooked to perfection. My favorite is the home made fresh naan. All of them have been delicious !! Garlic cheese is my favorite though. The place is very clean and apparently very popular in their other location downtown. Give this place a try I hope you love it as much as we do.

Where do I start– Himalayan kitchen South Jordan branch is a fantastic restaurant providing an excellent combination of authentic Punjabi Indian + Nepalese food coupled with an exceptional service experience. The facility is managed by a person named Kapil, who is very hospitable and deeply values customer opinions and always tries his best to accommodate and improvise based on feedback.

Service was great but I gotta say there food didn’t exactly impress me. I tried 2 of their dishes and found them a bit bland. There rice wasn’t impressive too. I’m not sure also what it was in there food but I got a stomach ache after and also my boyfriend.

Awesome Indian food. Super spicy if you like that and want it. Service was very personable and attentive. They have some very interesting desserts. I will definitely be back.

I don’t like Indian food but I like this place. Good curry good service. The waiters are happy to make recommendations. If you don’t know what to order they will bring you something delicious. That’s the only way I order here.

Awesome restaurant. Happened on this place by accident. Was very pleasantly surprised. Excellent Indian food. Amazing wine goblets, if you order wine you will see what I mean… Not enough places like this in the salt lake valley. Very nice ambience. If you want a nice meal in a nice romantic environment without a ton of screaming kids, you will enjoy this place. I will be back…

We came for the lunch buffet and really enjoyed it. There was a nice variety of food with appetizers, two kinds of rice, several main dishes(both vegetarian and meat-laden), naan, and even dessert. The standouts the day we went were the chicken korma and the aloo gobi. I love aloo gobi, and I have never seen it on a buffet before because it is a dryer dish that is hard to keep warm for long periods of time. I was pleased to see my favorite there, and mentioned it to the owner. The dessert was some kind of grated carrot dish, and it was really good as well. Service was very slow, and I had to wait a lot to have my glass filled – an undesirable predicament as much of their food was spicy. Speaking of spice, this buffet is probably not the best for the faint of tongue. It’s not that the food was flaming hot, but it was a solid medium which might be too much for some people. If you have the option, try India Palace further east on 10600th south as well and compare the two. I think some people will prefer one over the other. In my opinion, they are about equal, though I have eaten at India Palace more and may need to give Himalayan Kitchen a few more tries before declaring a winner.

Great food. Didn’t experience any of the issues some others complained of. Food was good, reasonably fast, attentive service, the waitress even went out of her way to help our ornery five year old. Five stars for suburban Utah Indian food.

I ate six or seven vegetable pakora today. Really solid lunch buffet. My friend and I met around 11:45, and the restaurant was pretty empty(it opens at 11:30), but several tables were filled while we were there. It’s clean and quite nice inside, and the buffet itself was clean and organized. Like, really really clean and organized(granted we were the first people to touch it). I liked the wide selection of vegetarian and chicken entrees, and each buffet came with naan, which was very good and came out piping hot. I noticed several reviews indicating poor service, but we received excellent service today, and I have absolutely no complaints. The food was delicious and of good quality, and our server was attentive and friendly. I will absolutely return!

We have eaten here on three different occasions and have lived the food each time. There veggie Momo are excellent as are there veggie noodles. Have tried a few other vegetable dishes. All have been excellent. Very clean and quiet. Relaxing enjoyable place to easy with my sweet wife.

A new indian restaurant and i had to try it. Loses a star because of a mistake they have done(i think it is their mistake but we can argue about it) and they are not willing to help me in that. May be they need an american manager who are usually nice compared to indian managers who do not care a lot about customer experience. Taste wise, Good. Another indian restaurant in utah with similar taste as other indian restaurants. However some dishes are great, hence a 4 star.

Loved all of it. From the Vegetable samosas appetizer to the chicken coconut curry and the chicken noodles. But the favorite was the Butter chicken and the Garlic cheese na an. The service was fantastic and the setting is quite and very clean. We will definitely be back.

Do you like cold naan, rice pudding that tastes like pure anise, and a lentil dish that tastes like thousand-year-old refried beans? Me, neither! Got the lunch buffet with a friend today and was less than impressed. I’m not saying the food was terrible, but I was surprised there wasn’t a single creamy option(Tikka masala, makhani, etc). The buffet options didn’t seem to cater to what people like.(At least from the 20+ other Indian restaurants I’ve been to.) My three favorite things were a vegetable noodle dish that was surprisingly delicious, the nice décor, and the friendly service. Too bad the Kathmandu couldn’t have opened a restaurant out here.
