Magnolia Grove Reception Center

My work had their Christmas party at Magnolia Grove last year. It was incredible! Merely driving up to Magnolia Grove got me really excited to go inside.
First things first, the food was amazing. Oh my smokes I couldn’t stop eating. I’m a man of fine tastes, and I seriously loved everything that was in front of my face. One word: eclairs.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Everything was decorated so nicely. There were huge Christmas trees all over the place. The tables and chairs aren’t the cheap tables and chairs everywhere else. I really felt so comfortable there.
The service was top notch. I’m a slightly picky person when it comes to customer service, and I didn’t notice one flaw. Seriously, I can’t say enough about this wonderful escape from the crazy world we live in.

We had a fabulous experience with Magnolia Grove! Beautiful venue! I love the open space! The staff are wonderful and very caring and concerned that the big day is perfect! They followed up with me several times before the reception to ensure that everything would be perfect. I appreciated the guidance and experience they shared. We utilized several of their recommendations! It is fabulous to have all the food handled at the same place on site — I have received numerous comments from our guests that the food was outstanding! It is wonderful to have the cake handled through Magnolia and there when you arrive for the reception! The flat screen tvs (there are two) are wonderful for showing photos and videos to the group. They helped us stay on track with our cake cutting and exit timing. Really a wonderful experience at Magnolia Grove! Truly magical!

The space itself is beautiful, and it was a great venue for my mom’s company holiday party. It’s an easy place to find with lots of parking and even the outside landscaping was pretty. For such a great place, it should come with equally great service, but the staff seemed frazzled and unsure of what was going on a lot of the time. They didn’t do a good job replenishing food items, and were no where to be found when people tried to inquire about utensils and certain dishes. There was a huge wait at both ends of the building for food, so it felt like half the time at this party was just spent in line.

I’ve been to several receptions at Magnolia Grove (plus a wedding shower) and I am always impressed with the facility and staff that remembers every detail. The building is beautiful clean and has a warm southern feel. It’s one of my favorite places to go for weddings, because it’s easy to get to and the parking is a breeze. I only give it 4 stars because I wish they had another facility closer to me.

We had a party at this reception center. While the place was beautiful there were some bad problems that popped up. First of all, the service staff doesn’t deserve to have the name «service» in the title. The main lady was rude when asked if certain food items would be replenished, and when dessert was put on the buffet table, only 2 desserts were placed at first, and then the other 2 desserts placed 15 minutes later. This created a bad bottleneck and made the lines very long. Lines remained long for both appetizers and dinner. There should have been two tables of food (one at each end of the reception hall). Of the 2.5 hours at the event, 1.5 hours were spent in line for food! If I didn’t work with such great people to chat with while standing in line, it would have been a miserable experience.
The party ended up great. Lots of fun, but that was in spite of the service received by the Magnolia Grove staff.
